This will protect and give credence to the scammers around the entrance to the Grand palace, who tell people it is closed at the moment. Because if they tell them that in front of the police, then it must be true.
Five years ago, I had to go to the central police office in Siam. I asked some police officers where it was from BTS. They said to go tuk tuk. Luckily, a store woman called me over, and said " you walk, 2 minute". Everything for the commission. The police are at the top of this tree.

I like this idea of praying for a change of heart for the perpetrators. If this works, I will try the same for ISIS, and others of the same persuasion. I am hoping that this trial goes well, and can be incorporated into mainstream problem solving.

When I went last year, only a small part was open, but not the ruins. They still charged full price. Also, the police had a road block on the way, and fined me 200 baht for no license, even though I had an international permit. The whole show was disappointing. I wouldn't go again in a hurry. Maybe never.

I hope that he reconsiders and re-nominates. Sooner or later, (probably sooner) there is going to be a mighty crash here, and the country will need a good leader.
His major problem is the false accusations of responsibility for the deaths in BKK, accusations that will be hard to shake. Anybody who believes they are true, please let us know what you would have done in his place - after all, the one and only demand was for elections which he agreed to BEFORE any major bloodshed occurred.
I would also lie to hear from those claiming that Thaksin was falsely accused. Please point out where the indictment was wrong.
With a large voting bloc of poor and uneducated people, poor because they are working in an industry unviable in its present state, who are prepared to vote for a party willing to prop up that industry with increasingly outrageous promises, a crash is inevitable. Those advocating responsible govt and refusing to pander to the masses desire will not get into power. And when the crash comes, it is the poorest who will be hurt the most. This may get very very ugly.
Poor people who can't afford health insurance, get sick and die without it. Crooked or not, he took care or the people

Ha-ha , normally men only wear a waste bag when they have prostate problems , then it is strapped to thier thigh , as apposed to carrying money in a 'Fanny bag' which is strapped around the waist .
Being an American it may be a 'Fanny bag' but as the guy is an aussie it is a 'Bum bag'. Fanny is our slang for pussy.
onya wallaby. I tried to post same. Someone had to!

I had the same problem....and got around it by supplying individual postal correspondence that had one of our names, date and address on it, then they could could see that we were living together etc at the same time.
One thing I was able to do quickly was to make her the beneficiary of my superannuation - I rang them and they sent a letter out immediately stating the change.
I think I also stated in the application (it was for the PR) that we did everything together but maintained separate bank accounts, etc because it was easier that way. Had no queries from Immi.
Aha. Thanks for that. I was about to give up on this trip. She is a beneficiary in my will, and we have mail. I,ll try to get the bank to change account name tomorrow. Good on ya.

My Thai wife is currently here in oz on a six month tourist visa. She has previously been here with me on a three mth visa. We have been married in Australia for four months. Our problem is that i have been slack in starting the Visa app paperwork. We can supply everything except the joint name stuff. We have only 6 days before we go to Thailand.I tried to open a joint bank account, but my bank will not, because she is not a resident. (QCCU). I have been lax, and have not put her name on my bills, power etc. But she has no money/ income. Can anyone tell me if this will be ok for our visa application before I pay the money. Thanks guys.
Career path for daughter.

my wife's daughter is 17 years old. She dropped out of her thai school at 14, but has done grade 10 and 11 in Australia. She wasn't able to learn that much, but has a reasonable grasp of English. At the moment, she is at a loose end in Thailand, and engaged to a young thai guy. I would appreciate any suggestions for a job, live in maybe, or an education opportunity, live in. She has worked at a restaurant for a month live in, but she's too spoilt and threw it in.
I'm thinking maybe a hairdresser internship or something. Any ideas please? She can't just hang around mum forever.
