  1. The timing is suspect. But, the real issue is, what does this group have in the way of knowledge about a free and fair election, and when was the last time Thailand has seen one?
  2. Anything to reduce dependence on China, and the heinous CCP, has to be a good thing. Though, I would not consider the army regime to be a reliable partner either. Let us hope they get evicted next month.
  3. Good on him for his success, if indeed it is real. However, I would much rather have married a gal from a simple, large hearted, hard working Issan family, as I had to good fortune to do, than a member of the so called "hi so" , here. I have never met many that had much in the way of redeeming qualities. Their arrogance knows no bounds. Though, I am sure there are four or five exceptions here.
  4. How many other countries go out of their way to warn foreigners about bringing in fruit? It is not a reasonable law that irks. It is the constant threats from the toxic army goons.
  5. It goes back to a combination of a lack of vision, the willingness to save money today, and forsake tomorrow, and cheap contractors trying to squeeze every last baht out of their customers.
  6. This is just another act of extreme cowardice, and demonstrates the moral degradation, and toxic rot of the Thai army, and this administration. Just another reason why the people need to oust them. They would not know what "doing the right thing" was, if it bit them on the butt.
  7. And the people advise a new administration. One which is capable, and one which cares about the welfare of the people. This one has done less than zero to even attempt to resolve this health crisis. So much could be done. If only they cared one iota and devoted themselves to real work for a change.
  8. Very true. I find most Thais to be pleasant, yet most government workers are toxic and difficult. A crash course in manners and making someone feel welcome, could work for some government workers who possess an open mind. After all, they do drone on and on about needing tourists. I totally blame Prayuth, the biggest joke and Anutin. They are bad for tourism. Immigration has gotten worse under their tutelage and their arrogance, and their insufferable xenophobia knows no bounds. This whole thing leaves a bitter, sour, nasty, foul taste in one's mouth, and the stench can be smelled for kilometers. Thailand is moving backwards on so many levels, I do not even know where to begin. I believe at this point, that if Brittany Spears were to declare her candidacy, she would beat Prayuth, hands down. That is how much he and the army are despised, at this point.
  9. Maybe we could chip in and hire her for a group event. Support topless lawlessness!!
  10. Why would this story be of any interest to anyone? Talk about a nothing burger. Someone is bent in the head. Someone is following someone. Someone is obsessed with someone. So what?
  11. Even though the video was blurry, she looked really hot. She should be given an award, rather than being fined.
  12. Utterly clueless. The lack of talent, vision, understanding and humility is astonishing, on the part of the officials here. Can they ever learn anything?
  13. The constant threats and declarations are surely enhancing tourism. Some of these officials are not only clueless, they have exceptionally big heads, accompanied by very small brains. The Thai army is nothing if not predictable. Without exception, they always pick from the bottom of the barrel, and consistently choose ministers with the least amount of talent possible.
  14. Why? Who would want to suffer like that, if you have a choice? I am no martyr. I don't like pain and suffering.
  15. Always keep your air con clean. Clean the filters at least once every two weeks, and have the entire unit broken down and deep cleaned every six months, and have them check the coolant every time. Also, always buy a bigger unit than the room needs. Keeps the rooms cooler with less power. And lastly, get some ceiling insulation and ceiling exhaust fans, if practical. Both make a big difference.
  16. Not anything you don't see at Soi Cowboy. What is the big deal? Why so much fake purity? It is a very ugly thing to witness a fake level of devotion and it says alot about the folks who love to pretend.
  17. Alot has changed since the days of women walking the streets here topless. That was before Phinun and the successive mob of goons, who absolutely love preaching fake purity. These infantile acts keep the very effective police force from the real duty of policing and keeping the faithful public safe.
  18. As usual, the RTP is doing everything in their power to avoid real crime fighting. The RTP and this foolish administration should be focusing their efforts on traffic and public safety, easing import tariffs, making visa policy simpler, and more friendly, boosting Western tourism (if that is even possible at this late stage, after spending ten years sabotaging the industry), real crackdowns on slavery, illegal fishing (instead of nonsensical hyperbole), and police corruption, cleaning up the water, the air, the rivers, and the beaches, and other things that actually improve lives.
  19. This is a step in the right direction. I don't drink garbage soda products. But, I give them credit for this move.
  20. One can only imagine the horror of watching this creep dance. Lock him up!
  21. The fact that he has a harem of dolls is wierd. The fact that he has a girlfriend, and she is ok with all that is truly wierd. They are meant for each other. Finally, he found several women who really understand him!
  22. If course it is not OK. And with many priests, I tend to believe it. However, this guy seems above that kind of nonsense and some might have an ax to grind. Sometimes, rushing to judgment is not wise.
  23. Of course this is a personal decision, but I would feel like a fool, for buying a car that is 100-150% higher than the cost in the US. The luxury taxes here are downright stupid.
  24. Again, I disagree. If anything regulations have become weaker, and lawmakers are more beholden to corrupt lobbyists than ever before.
