  1. No guarantees. But change is required. Fear of change and not knowing what it will bring does not justify a lethargic regime and the damage they cause.
  2. Stinging nettle root and pygeum have worked wonders for me. Two days without it, and my flow drops dramatically. And they improve your health too, unlike the Big Pharma poison.
  3. There is a term in psychology referred to as poverty consciousness. Either they grew up poor, came from a poor family, or have some pathological fear of losing their money. Regardless, it is a horrifically terrible condition, and it does not matter how wealthy the individual is. They pinch pennies, make everyone around them miserable, miss out on so much pleasure and fulfillment, and lead a dreadful life. That is different than being thrifty, which is fine. Everything in life requires a balance.
  4. Ha! More like gold, diamonds, penthouses, Swiss chalets, overseas accounts stuffed with billions, Bentleys, and 8 million baht watches!
  5. I think covid caused a reset and a rethink on the part of many. Personally, I am OK staying here. But, a huge number of expats have left. And this dumb administration has kind of ruined alot. That is just a fact.
  6. This man is both utterly intoxicated with power, and totally delusional. I doubt his support level is 2%. After the destruction he caused over the past 8 years, he is despised like never before. People are so sick of this foul army, and it's toxic games and malfeasance. Out. Out now. Go away. Be gone. You are not liked, respected, or wanted. See ya. You will not be missed.
  7. They shut down the economy due to covid. But, burning cane is ok. Can't they see the effect it is having on the air? Do they care one iota? Don't the leaders live here too? Why are they MIA? Why don't the "do nothing guys" do something for a change? When the crop burning starts to kill the population, and lowers the quality of life for those of us who don't die, isn't it time to take action? We just don't need the sugar. Shut down this toxic, heinous industry. Lock up the farmers. Sieze their land. Do whatever it takes. This is not just the governor's issue. A heavy part of this burden falls on the tiny shoulders of Cha Cha. He has been nearly criminal in his extreme malfeasance of this issue. His grade on air issues is an F. Let's see if a new PM and administration can and will do anything. And let's hope Cha Cha is ousted soon, so the nation can start some forward momentum, and stop the alarming backwards slide.
  8. It is highly likely these guys did not know better, and did not ask the fare to begin with. Best to always do that. After the ride, they likely thought his quote of 160 baht for the 5 minute ride was exorbitant and offered him 80 baht, which would have been reasonable. However, since this is a totally unregulated industry, and taxi guys feel they are above the law, he went nuts. Trying to injure, or even threatening someone with a knife over such a trifling amount of money is so dumb. Hopefully he will get locked up for a year or two, and learn something. However, the learning part is doubtful.
  9. I sure hope so. He seems like a fringe lunatic. Quite extreme in his views. I am a democrat, yet I do not support anything past the first term, when it comes to abortion, except in extreme cases. Make up your mind.
  10. Yes, we have improved visa policy, we now allow foreigners to own land and property, we have lowered import, luxury and wine taxes. We have improved the land, sea and air. We have worked hard on traffic safety, are aggressively pursuing farmers who make it hard to breathe here. We are constantly striving to make life better for all, and we work day and night to do so. Then I awoke from the dream of an improving Thailand. A rather shocking bit of tripe from the Economist, which creates this report. Normally, they are quite accurate and dependable. Wonder who got to them? Can these reports be bought and paid for?
  11. Yes, he is in police custody until Cha Cha or one of his sycophants calls, and says he is one of our boys. You have no jurisdiction. We are above the law. Hand him over. Our boys never face the law. That is just the army way.
  12. My guess is that it caters mostly to foreigners. And tourism is way down, despite what the goons are saying. Also, tens of thousands of expats have abandoned Thailand. So, that could make a real difference.
  13. All that is required for 30 million visitors to show up, is opening the borders and making a wish. It is good thing these officials wield so much power over the universe. Thailand should be grateful to these great souls, who possess so much power, that no changes or sacrifices needed to me made to get back to normal.
  14. Yeah, in Thailand the cops seem to have some humor. After all, they are Thai, and humor seems to be part of the Thai DNA, thankfully. Not so, in many other places.
  15. Yes, I got the Hong Kong part wrong. But, the same ideas apply. Revoke their passports and deport them to Burkina Faso!
  16. Are the figures ignored, or is this just lazy reporting? Getting those figures would likely require some work, and some investigation, something most journalists don't do anymore!
  17. Cops here somehow expect to be treated in a manner with more respect than the other members of the public. Yet, they constantly forget respect has to be earned, and never freely given. So, these clowns over reacted, and did their bit in destroying the recovery of tourism. Both cops should immediately be terminated, have their passports revoked, and sent into exile. They might learn something about treating tourists with some respect. Having said all that, common sense would dictate you leave the cops alone.
  18. The timing is suspect. But, the real issue is, what does this group have in the way of knowledge about a free and fair election, and when was the last time Thailand has seen one?
  19. Anything to reduce dependence on China, and the heinous CCP, has to be a good thing. Though, I would not consider the army regime to be a reliable partner either. Let us hope they get evicted next month.
  20. Good on him for his success, if indeed it is real. However, I would much rather have married a gal from a simple, large hearted, hard working Issan family, as I had to good fortune to do, than a member of the so called "hi so" , here. I have never met many that had much in the way of redeeming qualities. Their arrogance knows no bounds. Though, I am sure there are four or five exceptions here.
  21. How many other countries go out of their way to warn foreigners about bringing in fruit? It is not a reasonable law that irks. It is the constant threats from the toxic army goons.
  22. It goes back to a combination of a lack of vision, the willingness to save money today, and forsake tomorrow, and cheap contractors trying to squeeze every last baht out of their customers.
  23. This is just another act of extreme cowardice, and demonstrates the moral degradation, and toxic rot of the Thai army, and this administration. Just another reason why the people need to oust them. They would not know what "doing the right thing" was, if it bit them on the butt.
  24. And the people advise a new administration. One which is capable, and one which cares about the welfare of the people. This one has done less than zero to even attempt to resolve this health crisis. So much could be done. If only they cared one iota and devoted themselves to real work for a change.
