True financial security.
One day with a group of 10 19-26 year old gorgeous Japanese gals, who are all very, very open minded and playful.
Outstanding health.
Peace on earth.
The elimination of corruption, most politicians, and most evil people.
The youth of Thailand and Burma taking control of their nations.
The kinds of reforms Pita spoke of, and dreamed of.
Clean air, water and oceans.
Shall I keep dreaming?

Justice Minister Tawee Sodsong, you are guilty as the day is long, there is nothing you can say to us, there is nothing you can say to the Thai people that will convince more than a handful of people otherwise. We all realize this was a quid pro quo between the army and PT, to steal the election from Pita and the people, allow Thaksin to return, and provide him with guarantees that he would never serve time in prison.
This deal was filthy, you are a morally bankrupt and complicit man, and you are guilty as charged. You and your cronies have no honor, sir.

Well for some reason they appointed Srettha as Finance Minister in addition to PM. He's now revealing his level of absolute genius. Always a visionary move to stimulate the economy with more debt.

Corruption and extortion within the RTP, this is absolutely extraordinary news. Maybe we should get big joke involved, oh I forgot he's corrupt as the rest of them.
Let's get some convictions and lock these guys up. Oh, I forgot, they are above the law.

Well, of course this depends upon various factors, including insulation, size of room, efficiency of the AC unit, and other factors.
I use ACs that have an EER of 23, or above, (measured in BTU units not Kcal). Anyway, these are among the most efficient that are available to the consumer in Thailand in this market. I use Panasonic inverters. And, I use the most expensive models of the Panasonic inverters. BUT, as everybody here know, I am NOT satisfied with the quality, compared to the Panasonic ACs I bought in Taiwan/Japan. I do not know what is causing this. Maybe different quality for different markets, etc....
Also, you need to be careful when thinking that it is best to turn the AC off when you leave the room for a short period of time...
Why?
Because, there is data that shows that it is more efficient to allow the AC to remain on, and maintain a constant temperature, rather than to turn it off for a few hours, and then try to use the AC to re-cool the room, starting at a very high room air temp.
You can google this point, too.
NOTE: It sounds to me as if you may be using a non-inverter type AC, or one which might have a problem with the thermostat, or some other problem.
The Panasonic inverters that I have can maintain PLUS/MINUS 1 degree C temperature range when set to 22 degrees. But then you need to select AUTO fan. (I once had a defective Panasonic machine that was totally unable to maintain the selected air temp in the room. I finally was able to get the company to allow a return to the factory in Malaysia. or....I really do not know what they did with that defective machine.)
I have a fairly high-end Panasonic Inverter in my bedroom and it's absolutely fantastic, best AC I've ever used.

So ironic. Unhinged and semi-senile Don Don wanted 1000's to show up. He got 10 people. Perhaps his pleas are going unheeded.
Over the last week, demonstrators visibly identifying as supporting Mr. Trump — with red hats or clothing, or banners and flags — have never totaled more than a dozen. On most days, the number of people total in the portion of the park designated for protesters for or against Mr. Trump has never been more than two or three dozen. They have included tourists, locals coming to gawk, more than a few supporters of Mr. Biden, and proponents of conspiracy theories — including Max Azzarello, the man who, struggling with mental health issues, self-immolated on Friday.

You couldn't fit 1 hours profit from what this guy was likely making, at the very top of the pyramid, into a large brown envelope. These are the kind of funds that are wired into Cayman accounts. We're likely talking billions upon billions of baht per year.

A criminal attorney told me a long time ago that the way to tell when a case is getting really serious, is when they remove the name plate from the door. This is an incredible development.

I posted my question because I try to understand why you would buy and ride such scooters.
I tried one of those things and personally I don't like it.
I understand when people ride them who don't know, and don't want to learn, how to use a clutch and gears.
I understand when old people ride them - they couldn't handle anything bigger.
I have difficulties understanding why anybody to knows how to ride a bike and is able to do that prefers a scooter like above.
Why don't you enlighten me - and probably many other like me?
What is it what you like with those things?
Little engine, bad brakes, bad suspension, what's to like about that?
I agree, I find them lightweight, and quite stiff, and it feels as if they're made for people 60 kilos or less, without a passenger on board.
I prefer something like this which is technically still a scooter, but it's powerful, super comfortable and a lot of fun to drive, and it really suits somebody with a larger frame.

Oh my God I have to have one of those dolls, Lisa has one. How can I possibly live without having the same thing that Lisa has. My life would have no meaning. I must buy one immediately!
I want to know what is the definition of a counterfeit doll? Is it not made by a company that has a big name? Is it 1/10 the price because of that? And what difference does it make, a doll is a doll, and nonsense is nonsense.

Rule #6. Ignore their timetable, play things out exactly as you want to play things out, and take your time. If it's good it's only going to get better, if there are issues they're going to reveal themselves over time. Two years minimum, before you can call it serious. Never use the love word, within the first year or two. Do you love me baby? No. I do like you. There is potential here. But, I need time. Never allow yourself to succumb to her time table, as they always seem to want push things. Don't let that happen, push back, and do whatever you can to make her aware of this.
I am not a wallflower, and we're going to do things at my pace. Don't like that? OK, no problem. I am moving on. See ya.

My guess is that the army still which wields a lot of influence over this administration, has a tremendous amount of admiration for Putin, as they love dictators, and they wish they could be dictators, and they figure why not treat the citizens of dictators exceptionally well?
After all, they are model citizens, and show so much kindness, respect and goodwill towards the locals.

As well they should.
Nearly anything with his name on it, and his association with it, fails. And that will be even more so, after he loses the next election. His name will remain radioactive, for the rest of his life, and the mini empire will continue to dwindle. During the period from 1985 to 1989, three years of which were boom year in NY real estate, he somehow managed to lose $359 million. Between 1990 and 1991 he lost $517 million. And between 1992 and 1995 he again managed to lose $286 million.
The real irony of his whole persona, is that he cannot negotiate his way out of a paper bag, much less negotiate a treaty with an adversary, which makes him very dangerous.

Yes, if your model works. But why then aren't you crying foul for every police general and all ranks below, if that's the way it works. Knocking off the top tiers of a pyramid has no effect on the stability of the pyramid. Remove all senior sergeants might have more of an effect. They seem to be involved in all things bent. Crucifying Hakparn won't achieve anything. He'll just be replaced by a stooge from party HQ, aka Tony Towers. Hakparn's the only hope, our man on the inside. Get rid of the cancerous cohorts!
While I appreciate your optimism, to my mind it's a bit like saying that Trump is an outsider and he's going to clean up the swamp. It's a great slogan, I saw absolutely no indication of it during 4 years of his presidency and I certainly never bought into the hyperbole.

Applies to alot of Western women, who have absolutely no ability to identify with their innate femininity, which of course is the quality that most men find most appealing. Without that, what do they have really? Not much.

If I were wealthy enough I would probably be in Thailand three or four months of the year during the most vhoice weather. Certainly not this time of year with the air quality and the weather being what it is. But my finances dictate that I'm in Thailand most of the year and I'm okay with that. I do love it here on a lot of levels.
You may want to keep your options open, nothing like being in the US or the UK for a while to make Thailand seem very appealing again.

When covid came along it is my belief that humans had a generational opportunity to show their higher nature, and instead what happened was that businesses both large and small saw an opportunity and seized it by decreasing portions, raising prices, cutting customer service, and doing whatever they possibly could to scalp and raise profits. Many would argue that some of this has to do with the very nature of covid and the need to survive. But I would argue that a lot of it was just bald opportunism and absolute greed, and the result is that we've seen stunning inflation and prices rise dramatically.

Without evidence? That was a very stupid comment.
I'm not implying that he should be locked up without a trial, what I'm saying is that I believe he is likely corrupt, and I'm hopeful that there will be enough evidence, and that there will be enough political will to convict the guy and lock him up.
The other aspect of this is that police should be held to a higher standard then the average citizen, so if a cop gets busted for corruption isn't it reasonable that perhaps he should face a stiffer sentence than the average person?

Quite agree, but @spidermike007 makes it his prerogative to find this guy guilty before any trial has even been mooted. So, I find you guilty, spider, of all kinds of stuff because you're a foreigner, and we all know foreigners are all guilty as hell. So we're going to deport you. No, no appeal. No point protesting. This not your country. Go home. Next!
That's a good one, I appreciate your sense of humor. Let me ask you one question, we all know that the vast majority of foreigners here are good, law-abiding, decent individuals who have spent their lives working and are now enjoying a very pleasant retirement and contributing to society on at least a few different levels.
However we also know that most police here are corrupt, most police here can be bought, and the RTP is likely the biggest pyramid scheme in Thailand. So it stands to reason that the top brass of the RTP enjoy the biggest endowments of all due, to the nature of a pyramid scheme. Does this make any sense to you?

1 hour ago, Goat said:I would say someone who lives with a prostitute as if she is a wife is probably more deluded than anyone else on the planet.
Well just for the sake of playing devil's advocate, what do you think the average man really knows about his wife when he marries her in the West? Without actually hiring a private detective, how does he have any idea where she's been, who she's been with, how many lovers she's had, or whether or not she's ever been freelancing? No man really knows any of that stuff. They assume that their woman is pure as the driven snow and they desperately want to believe her when she says she's only had three lovers prior to him. I know that I've been out with women who have been with hundreds and hundreds of men, so is that that much different from a semi-pro here who's been with a couple of hundred men?
A lot of guys get hung up on the whole purity aspect of this whole thing, but there are an awful lot of women in the West that would qualify as being working gals, under a rather liberal definition. Are multiple dinners, cash gifts, and prizes really any different than an agreed to price?
Which one is more honest?

There's no better time to travel outside the country then April in Thailand. I am going to be traveling too and hopefully when we get back the weather will be a little cooler, and the rains would have started. This heat is incredible.

Air Asia has been interested in using Hua Hin as a regional hub, for years now, and all they have ever gotten is neanderthal style foot dragging from the officials here. Hua Hin Airport is one of the least utilized airports in Thailand, possibly even in the world. Shame on these guys. They can do so much better. Thailand desperately needs more regional airports, especially within a few hours of Bangkok. Anything to ease congestion, and save souls from the nightmare of getting in and out of Bangkok has to be a good thing for the nation and it's people. Shame. Shame.
A few years ago: “We will begin by growing the flight base at Hua Hin Airport with a focus on international destinations, and domestic travel and our numbers will take time to grow. We will get started immediately working with the town and recruit local businesses to participate in our new programs, Open to the World and LIVE-LEARN-WORK-PLAY, in Hua Hin,” Laroche said. Ha. What happened? Nothing.
And so? When? How? Why not? Why is this taking so many years? What is really going on here?

This is great news, many of us feel that the Thai baht has been overvalued for a very long time, now that money is being withdrawn from the markets and more than likely foreign investments are down, along with manufacturing and exports, we're finally seeing the long overdue correction over the past year or so.
May it continue and may the baht drop another 20%. The officials deserve that with their constant stream of wrong headed policies. And the appointment of a nitwit like Srettha, as finance minister, as well as PM. As if one position isn't important enough.

Govt spokesman assures Move Forward MP: Rama 2 road completion set for next year

Their relationship with truth is such a strange and bizarre thing to witness. This out of control road construction has been going on for how long 15 years already? And they're only to kilometer 37. My understanding is that the first leg of this is supposed to go to Petchaburi, which is another hundred kilometers or more, and this is going to be done in 12 months?
I have a bridge to sell you and I can offer you a really good deal.
