A "Wai" can solve all violent behavior , but smoke a joint and your life is ruined.

Are they(government) planning to pay EVERYONE for lost income, so they can feed themselves and pay bills?

I think Thai males are taught that when someone honks at you they are telling everyone " You are worthless and have a small dick"

is there no stage when Thais have had enough?
Thai people have had enough! What can they do? Stay in line or called in for "attitude adjustment" Sad, sinking ship

Not sarcastic at all. You obviously don't understand alcoholism. An alkie on the roads having DTs is worse than someone having a can of beer.
So when driving drunk, just claim your an alcoholic and everything is ok?

We are guests in their country. Surely it should not be up to us to "fix" the problem. When you go on holiday do your file reports for every problem you see? It is the governments job to fix it. But that would require real, actual work with no financial reward.

Uber is so much better because you can actually summon them when you need a ride. Why don't the "taxi Mafia" have a central booking where you can call a number and order a taxi and they can send the closest free one to you. If they offered a decent service there would be no need for Uber.

Why don't they make the fines for no meter, refusing fares etc the same as the Uber fines? 2000 Baht 3 month suspension?

They are so considerate.

well, that saves us from the TV detective squad. RIP German man.
And the TV detective squad would have been right

What is even more ridiculous is, It is the landlord that is punished, not the owner of the business. I have no doubt the business owner opened up again nearby. Seen it many times
