And give a 10% cashback if you do not make a claim. So take that into account before you do claim.
Proper claims like accidents etc or I wouldn't of bothered claiming.

I had Bupa Private health insurance in Thailand for years, on the few occasions I've claimed on it they always paid out.

No, just The Groove Junkies but I jammed with Jeff and the Soi Dogs many times in Bangkok.
Ahh ok, I was trying to remember when it was, certainly 10 years or more.

If not I'll say I remember fondly seeing Lam,Mary, Snowman ? and Sek Loso live at the Blues Factory.Certainly had some great players over the years.
I think I can safely say that the bar put Lam back on the map a bit as it were by giving him a regular place to be seen and of course he helped the place have some great years.

And no mention of the bar where he played for 5/6 nights a week for 10 years or so.

My band The Groove Junkies (Bangkok) played the Blues Factory many moons ago. Lam came and jammed along with us before his spot. Great musician and a cool guy.
Did you come down with Jeff and the Soi Dogs?
?

Yeah I know but in Thailand they're worth more than they are in the UK for instance....and most E36 BMWs are not worth a carrot.
Lam also worked in my bar for over 10 years so I know how much money he earnt.

This whole thing is most likely down to driving too fast and / or being under the influence of some mind altering substance. Unfortunately it usually is here in Thailand.
I highly doubt it at his age.

He's that BMW for years, still has the red (sometimes) yellow one also.
4 hours ago, balo said:He is probably better at playing guitars than driving a car. At his age and being rich he could afford to hire a private driver.
Rich? Don't know about now but sometimes he does get driven.
3 hours ago, Spidey said:I'd put him down as a very average pub guitarist by UK standards. Have a mate who plays gigs in his spare time. Makes lam Morrison look like Mary Hopkins.
I reckon I may have seen Lam play more than alot of people on this forum and trust me when he turns it on he's still brilliant, he's getting on now so plays what he likes to play (or whats requested every night) but even when he played in my old place every now and then he'd play something that would make your hair stand on end.

Luckily for some they can bring their own...Anyway 7k minimum will be a good deterrent. 5555
Civilised people don't meet in the bar before dinner or after dinner?
Civilised don't have a drink round by the pool in the daytime?

Ok, can we please stop with the I want that car, what is it bull. Being a close friend to the young man who has died, I’m shocked at some of these thoughtless posts. I am currently helping his parents recover his body so that they can take him back to Norway to have a proper autopsy done and for them to bury there beloved son! The car will be sold, but not to any of you morons that have missed the whole point of this story and it truly tragic nature. RIP ESPEN (not aspen) YOU WILL BE SORELY MISSED!!!
Sorry about your friend.

I think he meant factory Mexico or rs2000 editions. They are probably standard mk1s made to look like Mexico's etc.Asphyxiating a young Norwegian by all accounts.

And what exactly is a normal tourist in your eyes? It clearly states that he was a regular visitor on Koh Samui for a month every year.
As far as you or me know, he can own both car and a condo or house on Koh Samui. Would that make him a less normal tourist? I know many people with assets in Thailand that comes and goes as tourists every year.Normal tourist ie not a regular visitor, on a 2 week holiday.
After reading the story properly at home I now see that he's a regular tourist.
6 hours ago, Mickmouse1 said:Who said it was a rented car? The guy is a regular Samui visitor and he may have borrowed or bought the car for his " usual month long annual visit"?
Never said it was rented just said its not a standard rental car.

Lucky guy too that the police came to help I mean he could have bled to death in his drunken state. Not going to comment on the razor on the table.
I do wonder do all Brits have those kinds of bed-sheets or is the guy just a little nationalistic.
No thanks.
