  1. Pattaya is one city in Thailand it is impossible to say "All Thai" based on staying for years in Pattaya. That like saying USA is this that and other if you only live in New York. Yes there are other posters from other cities here but time and again you get Pattaya this Pattaya that.

If this is regarding my post we were talking about Pattaya and that's where this topics also about.

  2. Loads of Thai women have tattoos, from superstars to university students, to those rebelling against a conservative society to women who are fans of rock/metal bands or who just like tattoos. Perhaps the Pattaya thing is the greater indicator. To be honest though, I'm not here to judge anyone's appearance, I'm more concerned about where he is and the child involved.

WRONG, only hookers have them, a good Thai woman would never get one.

    Rubbish.

Certainly not rubbish, another Pattaya-dweller in denial.

I have never once seen a tattoo on a woman at the Polo Club in Bangkok, where I've been a member for 25 years or indeed any other similar institutions.

I don't think the Polo club in bkk is a good example of where to find normal Thai women either really.

I agree but as we were talking about the lowest rung of Thai society, a prostitute in Pattaya, I thought I would balance it with the top rung.

I have been to Pattaya and seen society in between and it accept it Dave, you are biased here as you met your tattoed girlfriend in Pattaya.

I lived in Pattaya for 13 years so have seen all sides of the argument.

All I'll say is not all dark skinned Thai girls are money grabbing evil prostitutes and not all well educated lighter skinned Thai women are angels.

  4. I find it sad that so many people are more interested in shooting off their big mouths about something they know FA about.

I'm not saying that I know anything, other than Steve, for what ever reason, has gone missing. Instead of talking Bulls*&t, how about using the same effort by showing some compassion and doing something positive about finding the bloke.

    +1

  5. With a delay of more than a month before ringing the bell, I fear he's a goner! Most likely the fight was about his daughter who most certainly has been parked with grandma or some "uncle" somewhere in Issaan until she's old enough to bcome a valuable "asset". The photo, the eyes and the staged "smile" of Nan tell me more than I even want to know... sad.png

His wife posted a few weeks back on FB asking whether friends etc had seen him.

    Known them both 10+ years.

Interesting. I recall you saying you married a woman in Pattaya with tattoos.

Was he giving the woman money regularly?

Was he planning to take the daughter out of Pattaya, like any good father would?

Do you think the ex wife is capable of murder?

Had she found another client yet?

Yes I did and almost 15 years later still very happy thanks.

  7. Pattaya tattood darkskin bargirl as a wife. Excellent decision ?... Love kills.

Nothing wrong with dark skin but tattoos and Pattaya says it all, how sad. I hope justice prevails.

i'm talking the COMBINATION of the 4: tattoo+bargirl+pattaya+dark skin. Recipe for disaster... 50% of these girls have no ethics and are psychopatic and emotionally dead.

    You must be an expert?

  8. unprovoked?

they started it by pushing the thai guy and then she punches him in the face.

ThaiVisa has terrible journalistic standards. Did you even watch the video before writing the article?

Did she, Not From what I could see?

Would that justify the beating they got?

Maybe you need new optical correct sunglasses. If you didn't see she smacked the Thai guy first. Re look at the video and you will see that these British people started the shit

and I already said it looked like more of a slap than a punch.

Justifies a punch in the face and kick in the head on a 65 year old women does it ?

  9. For every bad Thai (and sure they can be as nasty as anyone) there are nineteen decent Thais.

More like 50/50 nationwide, but the 50% bad mostly hang out in the holiday resorts upping the odds for trouble.

I wouldn't say 50/50. In places like Phuket and Pattaya it might be closer to 50/50 but I wouldn't say those places are the real Thailand, but generally 90% of Thais are fine. As been pointed out here, the combination of alcohol and cultural misunderstandings can have sad results. I've bumped into Thai people, a quick sorry and a 'wai' and the same from the other person have been my experience.

I've lived in rural Thailand, can definitely say 50% of the men are lazy hopeless drunks and wife beaters sending their daughters out to work as prostitutes in Pattaya and trying to have sex with every under age female relative they can get their hands on. They may not be out robbing and beating foreign tourists but that still makes them bad IMHO.

I'd like to argue with you about this but honestly can't.

    :-

  10. Thailand is one of the most popular tourism destinations of the world and will continue to be so.

Problem is people who get drunk and start fights (the British tourists in this case)

It's popular because Thai women are cheap, it's not much good for anything else.

Too dirty for a start. The roads are dirty, the countryside is dirty, the sea and beaches are dirty.

I certainly wouldn't come here on a family holiday, I don't want my mum or my children to see the hookers out everywhere.

I guess in a way, the apologists are right, this isn't a place for decent foreigners to visit.

    Especially foreign women and children.

Quite a large generalization for the whole country isn't it?

  11. You all can paint this any way you want but the reality is that these folks were brutally beaten and IMO it could have been worse. For those comments about the lady "pushing" and slapping that one Thai, do you know what words were being exchanged? How about the last sequence where they all are punched in the face with vicious shots and the lady is kicked in the head. All out cold and who knows what will follow for them. Did you see the bottle in the left hand of the first Thai involved? How about the sucker punch on the first Brit that went down. Maybe these folks had spent a bit of time relaxing somewhere before walking through this crowd but these guys simply became animals. That's it, animals and I am willing to to bet that there is absolutely no remorse in any of them.

Posters are all entitled to their opinion, comments, etc. but in no way do I see any justification for the outcome. Three people lying sprawled on the concrete for what? That last guy who took the head kick to the lady should be held for attempted murder because that is WHAT THAT KICK IS FOR.

    Agreed.

Look at the video the first 15 seconds you can see 2 thai guys (black shirt and light coloured shirt carry a bottle ) having a verbal and a bit of a jostling. They start to walk off at around the 17/18/19/20 second mark your see the Brits coming through and as they pass the 2 Thais, the Brit in black sticks his left arm out and sort of grabs at the thai in light coloured shirt. The thai who was grabbed appears drunk and obviously retaliates. That's how it appears to be started from my perspective. No one else noticed the little thai girl getting body slammed into the ground as well and she hobbles/walks off.

Also the bar pulling the shutters down as it starts to escalate.

They weren't angels agreed but the bottom line is the beating was too severe IMO.

Watch the video again. 52sec mark. She punches the guy in the face.

The tourists were the ones who instigated the situation and threw the first punches.

That doesn't justify the savage beating but it should be a stern lesson not to start fights you can't finish...

Punch but I think more of a slap but as said the beating is way over the top.

Generally not a good idea to put your hands on another person, specially around bars and alcohol in a foreign country.

    I know.

Had a bar there for 13 years.

  14. Thais are a nation of idiotic uneducated savages .. a bunch of deprived monkeys!

I think the savages are the lagerlouts who started it. Brits are world renowned for their savagery. Ask any Austaralian Aborigine and countless other countries. Football hooliganism etc etc.

So of course all brits are the same

And the beating is justified then?

    Yes but not a punch.

  17. Tigglebitties in South Pattaya has US Southern sweet sauce bar-b-q ribs that fall off the bones and/or bar-b-q chicken on Monday nights. 299 Bt gets you a rack ribs, or you can get chicken, or half and half. The bar-b-q comes with one side.

Here is the address and a link to the Google Map showing where they are located. To get there turn South onto Soi 17 at the stoplight located at the junction of Pattaya 3rd Road and Soi 17. They are about a km from the junction on the right side.

584/38 Soi 17, Moo10, South Pattaa, Nogprue, Banglamung, Chonburi 20150

    Highly recommended also.

  18. What a load of drivel! Sterotypical mindset of the minority, "american troops coming back from the frontlines" "Thai people spit on the ground when the mention Pattaya " how on earth does this rubbish get bandwidth!!!

To add to the nonsense if you read the actual article he then speaks about being in Bang Saray and Ban Amphur, neither of which I would classify as Pattaya, and nothing about Pattaya itself.

Re Bang Saray he says "a few kilometres south of town." Only if a few is about 15 or more.........

    Agreed complete nonsense.
