i think its about how and where you made your money if your rich.

i know many people here in Thailand who drive luxury cars they have never had any problems. i also know 2 guys a ozzy and a German who used to build houses and condos im surprised neither of those two got hit the strokes they used to pull on people. luck of the draw who you rip off i suppose.

I think I know who you are referring to, I'm surprised also.

Yes in USA the Beetles only got the 1600cc engines in this time.

But in Europe we got 2 models: the VW 1302 (1300cc carb) and the VW 1302S (1600cc carb). S for "Sport" or "Special" or "Superior" or whatever it could mean for the happy purchaser...

Different markets different specs I suppose...

    in 1973 the 1300 had a 1300 engine (1285).

On Kenway's  FaceBook a friend asked how much he wanted for it. He replied 13. Doesn't the tariffs on luxury cars double the price?

Not sure what its worth, I was guessing, his Audi was up for sale for 6.9 million so I guessed that the Porsche was around 6 million although your probably closer with 13.

not really surprised about the events.  The number of cars mentioned in other posts and now these further details. "Web design" websites don't make the amounts of money to support the lifestyle the man was apparently leading.  Booking and gambling are bad and dangerous enough, but to do that in a very unregulated and wild wild west country such as Thailand, well, things ran their course.

    Agreed,

With her, they are doing quite a few new and "pop" type tunes.  It actually works out great as she's an amazing vocalist.

    Good stuff.

Definitely need some new stuff thrown in, different styles etc.

Reminds me of the good old days. and the disagreements etc.

    Thank god thats over.

  6. They will of course be toasting this loser on the bingo player forums.

And possibly trying to drum up some business on the back of it....we're avin a sendoff for ol' Steve-O, do join us etc.

    Why is he a loser?

We know Steve had 2 daughters. Presumably his income was supporting those 2 daughters. We know Steve had a health scare in the past, possibly due to weight and alcohol issues. That was a warning shot. He continued the same lifestyle with reckless abandon. To me, this is a loser.

So now, presumably his young daughters have lost their father and some emotional/financial support. Totally avoidable. To me, this is a loser.

He had the chance to do the right thing. He knew what he was doing was wrong for many many reasons and did nothing but dig a deeper hole. To me, this is a loser.

No different than parents who make babies and then stick them on a motorbike with no helmet. To me, this is a loser.

Two girls chuckled at me when i said(i was on holidays)that i was going to see some friends and had to go...."friends they said, nobody has friends

in pattaya".......I walked away and laughed also.....because i knew they were right.......pattaya= dog eat dog!

    Nobody has friends in Pattaya?

    Sorry but that is nonsense.

  7. The article says he was a heavy drinker and known for his excessive lifestyle and himself did not expect to live long. Lucky for him the death was swift and no prolonged agony.

    Ain't alcohol grand?

I'm always puzzled that so many men actually brag about how much they drink ... as if it somehow makes them more manly.

Looking at your board name I'm guessing that you don't drink?

Although I wouldn't label him a loser on a forum out of respect I can't argue with your reasoning.

Steve told me some years ago that he needed and wanted to slow down.

I had a bar just off of walking st for 13 years and thought I hit it hard but I'd wager that he put more booze away then me.

I had a few health warnings also.

My mate owned the Blues Factory. Biggest drunk I knew. Smashed his body up numerous times on his motorbike even though he has 2 young children and a wife.

    Lol you talking about me.

2 grown up step kids though.

Worst injury I had was when I decided not to use the bike and used a motorbike taxi instead who crashed.

Definitely taxis whilst on the piss when I'm back in September.

  10. Not sure why this is being reported because in reality no one really cares. He brought it on himself.

I am far from being a Thai apologist or someone who automatically sides with the farangs in situations...but I was thinking the same thing...an alcoholic pimp dies and because he's from the UK the expat community is supposed to care?

I think I'l come and piss on your grave too.

    +1

  11. I am disgusted. I cannot believe how many ignorant, insensitive comments have been posted on here. Steve was a pleasant and jovial character. Expats around the country knew him from their time in Pattaya and would appreciate his demise being posted on ThaiVisa.

For all those posting derogatory remarks please consider that his two children may read this.

RTP Steve. It was nice knowing you

Agreed, a bit like the kind of posters on the other topic about the soldier.

I'm sure Thai Visa never used to put up with these kind of replies.

Disgusting some of comments I've read.

As for Steve he certainly was a character and a nice guy.

    RIP mate.

  12. RIP Steve.

This should be a lesson to ALL the foreigners who think that they are welcome to Thailand.

But my guess is that tomorrow the following foreigner is digging his grave in Thailand.

    Really?

I been married to the same girl for +10 years. have a 6 year old boy together with my lovely wife and don't fell I am in imminent danger.

    Maybe I am naive??

Boy, Thaivisa is funny sometimes, like a Benny Hill show, above only based on my own experiences over the last many years but off-course the experts here on TV know better than me and I will end up in a shallow grave one daylaugh.png .

Lol agreed, I managed to last 13 years in Pattaya and I'm ok and still very happy after 15 years with the same girl.

  13. ""The resort’s manager, Mike Williams, told how he was knocked unconscious by a “large American” in a bar before he went missing."

That was in the night of may 14.

In the early hours of may 15 this happened to steve:

    http://www.dailystar...ssion-wild-romp

"She reports the foreigner died in the early hours of Sunday, May 15 after hitting his head on a wall during a wild romp with a ladyboy at a hotel in Pattaya."

As you see, his head has taken more then 1 hit that night..."

Good bit of detective work there,so it was murder!

Do you believe the story or the word of a friend who said he was hit months ago?

He wasn't the only one to say that it happened months before either.

    Same version of events.

Different source. This could be true. Check my post it has url link.

    Yes.

I meant the incident with the American being on the same day/ night.

    :)

How about finding and jailing who ever was involved,

He's apparently dead, after falling down drunk..

You want the guy, that caused his own death arrested?

In the morgue, the day he died...

He should have kept his passport with him, or a copy of it!!
