It is legal in California now just walk in and buy whatever you want.
Before this, it was a bunch of skateboarder and snowboard potheads faking a medical condition to get their weed.
I do not like any of this here. The carnage is bad enough this will just add to the stupidity.
Terrible idea...
Cue the Flintstones theme song....????

If you have been here 10 years you should know 2 things. One, dont trust the meteorological department forecasts. Two, cool season actually kicks in the first or second week of December.

I 'll stop with pizzacompany , i'm tired of this bad service...that service line that you can call hang up on me twice, the 3rd one helped me and promised that the manager would call, which she did one time.
Last week i walked into KFC, ordered 2 zingerburgers....they had stress because i'm farang but finally one came to tell me in english that i had to wait 20 minutes for that..hahaha...so i left.
I am surprised you can survive here. Your attitude is <deleted> poor, and your angst is beyond belief. You would be happier being back where ever you came from..

Did you go to Singapore and work for 2 days and return? Good luck it looks like you must be living on a trust fund or something as it seems you dont work..

You could live easily with less than $300 per month in Thailand.
Thai's live with the families thus saving a lot of money. Tell me as a tourist how you would get by on 9000 baht a month please.

Why a flight, one can exit Thailand by train and its possible to get an advanced train ticket 60days before your travel. Internet booking possible.
Because by air is safer. He can pay the overstay and leave easily. Any other way is fraught with complications.
I dont have any sympathy for him. I am also surprised his family cant come up with just 800 pounds. Genuinely surprised at this..

The airline could deny you to check in if you don't have a flight out of the country within 30 days.
What are you talking about? He has a flight out and is one day late.

I'm beginning to think that the ED Visa may not have been the wisest choice for extending my stay here for the next 9 months, and may go back to my original idea of just applying for a 60 day Tourist VIsa (extending it locally to 90 days), and repeating that a few times once my "retirement" visa expires at the end of this month.
Your post mentions nothing about studying Thai. Seems you are just trying to circumvent the system. Which is why these visa's are now hard to get..

Perhaps you might consider going online and seeing what dates are available. Seems pretty easy.

o Dr. Literal, you must be having a hard time here? Even after all these years here you don’t know that the phrase Thai wife, does not always mean legally married? Probably in most cases when you hear it, it does not? And when discussing children it is often stepchildren or the girlfriend’s child from another man to be literal. Understand now?
Sounds like the lowest common denominator of Thai society and women. Glad I dont run with that crowd. I doubt he is having a hard time. I imagine he enjoys life with a great wife and kids and does not have to worry about the dark side of Thailand..

Bangkok, unpleasantly hot for a long time now and almost no rain this rainy season.
What are you talking about? It has rained more this year in BKK than in years. Hardly any sun the last two weeks and some rain most days. Been raining now since 5am, could not get out and jog.

Lets be honest here. You chose not to transfer funds and obtain the correct visa. Then you tried to circumvent this by applying for another "tourist" visa. Yet by saying you will find a new place to live you admit to not being a tourist but someone living here. Dont blame it on Immigration this time... Sorry you had bad luck though.

Fair enough, im just extremely stressed. My little boy is there in Thailand and we were all looking forward to me being able to read and write.
I very much enjoyed teaching my kids to read and write in English. Not to be curt but I think you would be better off teaching him English rather than him learning Thai. I think you will find a lot more people understand English outside of Thailand than they do Thai.

Only suggest this if you need attend CW for extension. Which will be rejected and gives you 7 days. Point being you wasted best part of day attending CW Zoo.
So go illegal and chance getting picked up and going to IDC? Get the 7 days mate..

You have to fry the white rice for a while until it begins to brown. This is the key. They add your stock and off you go.

Its hard to find but the milk produced by the King "Chitlada Milk" is the best. We buy it in two liter bottles. Its hard to find so have a look around. After that your best best is Chokchai.

I went the to Americam Embassy to renew my passport as it expires in June of this year. I was told I cannot travel to another country if I have less than 6 months remaining on my passport. So filled in the forms, made the long trip to the U.S. Embassy, paid the $75.00 for the new passport, submitted my papers and was told to have a seat. I noticed many people who came after me come and go. I was still sitting there. Finally after more than an hour my name was called. The clerk told me "sorry, sir, we have have to keep your passport for "administrative review." I replied, "why, is there a problem?" She responded, "I have no idea sir." I said, "how can I rent a hotel room without my passport?" - I was planning on staying in bangkok tonight." She replied, "sorry, sir, we have to keep your passport." I have lived here for 10 years, never been arrested, I just an English teacher. I had a similar experience 2 years ago when I went to the Embassy to have extra pages added to my passport. They held me for two hours. Eventually, the clerk came out and apolgized to me saying "we thought we had a 'hit' on your name but it turns out it wasn't you." I wonder if it's the same problem. Some computer glitch or something. In any event, it really bothersome. Anyone else ever had a similar problem?
Have left any "unfinished" business in the US ?? ie child support etc....embassies usually grab someones passport for a definite reason...your name wrongly or rightly is obviously flagged in the system....I would getting is resolved as quickly as possible with the embassy as if you are in the system, this is never going to go away..
The child support or any financial problems can cause this. My mate had run out on child support and then had his passport taken back. Had to fly back to the states on some kind of temporary paper. Still no passport as he has not paid the back amount.

Petitenget and Kerobokan are both north of Kuta and Legion and can be very nice as well.

The same ID as I booked with every time, but never for the CC I used. I book so far in advance I have the printout of my payment if they want that.

Air Asia is you get what you pay for. But a little side line. I just printed out my e itinerary and the small print is one full page of print that is unreadable save a looking glass.
Never seen anything like that before. Cant say they did not warn you. But you just cant beat them. A family of 4 on a summer holiday to phuket for 2200 baht round trip.

No its not.. The law....Once granted, the foreigner has to bring the work permit all the time especially at the work place and during working hours. Please note that the foreigner can only perform the job stated in the work permit and on the specific employer.
