  1. Did I miss the article where Macron told HAMAS to stop killing women and babies in Israel? Where Macron told HAMAS to stop invading Israel? Where Macron told HAMAS to stop breaking existing long term cease fires by continually killing innocent civilians with rocket attacks in Israel. (More than 1,000 rockets a years fired at random targets.) Get real people. HAMAS are the problem and they were elected into power by the people of Gaza. The same people that they use as a human defence barrier to try and save their murderous lives. BTW they tell lies as well. Do not believe everything that HAMAS spout.
  2. That is not what happened when my wife died. In spite of me being at the hospital as well as her employer (Thai headmaster of the school), the hospital would not release her body until they received the correct document from the British embassy. I contacted the embassy and they were super helpful and they sent the document to the hospital on the same day. My wife died in her sleep at home. She had always been healthy, energetic and fit. (She was head of kindergarten and ran a class looking after thirty 3-5 year olds.) The police came to the house to make sure that there were no 'suspicious' circumstances and processed the relative paperwork. I was told that there would be a delay in releasing the body as an autopsy was needed. There was a delay, I had to pay storage fees, but there was no autopsy. Eventually I was told that I could collect her body.
  3. Now that the RTP have sorted out how red notices work, perhaps then can use one to catch the little schite from RB?
  4. First thing to do is you should make a will now, showing what you want to happen. If no will and no 'special' person in Thailand, then the Thais would contact your embassy to try and track down any friends or relatives. Then it is up to them. (The Thais will contact your embassy anyway for instructions on releasing your body.) This all assumes that you have documentation available showing who you are. If you have no friends or relatives in the USA, then sorry, I have no idea. They will keep your body for a while in a local morgue and then probably just a cheap cremation in a local temple and 'loose' your ashes. The Thais will loose interest in your remains if there is no one to pay any money.
  5. I would want a lot more than that to have scolding water thrown over my face and to have my hands chopped off?
  6. Article states starting 15th December. Who to believe???
  7. Yes - but not without small issues. I use Proton. Many sites do not like users using VPN's. Lazada being a good example. I get a page stating that 'we have noticed unusual traffic....' and then I have to play games with up to 20 or mo\ore ''click on squares showing....' I often give up on Lazada. Very poor website. Bangkok Airways makes me prove that I am a human - every time, as does Yahoo mail. Proton always connects me to Thai websites first.
  8. How can this be as a result of the PM's directive? An automated passport control system takes more then a couple of months to source, install and test. Oh dear. What to believe with this now 'Chinese controlled' press.
  9. Those tricks have been standard since Noah was a lad, for many 2nd hand car dealers in the UK.
  10. Yep. It happens. ABS locked on one side, spun the car around and I ended up - upside down in a ditch. No injuries though - good old seat belt.
  11. Surely it should increase year on year as the world recovers from Covid. (Thank you China.)
  12. Unfortunately, the Thai government (past and present) has forfeited that right to the Chinese.
  13. Question for the OP - how is your health? I live on Koh Samui (clean air) as I have COPD. Had breathing issues since I was a kid. I visit Chiang Mai every year for 3 - 4 days as I love walking, and the old city is dead flat. (I struggle to breath walking up hills.) I just spend all day wandering around the old city and the nearby suburbs. Great time. But I could not live in the Old City all year round. I love my peace and quiet back home on the island. Also, Chiang Mai is a no-no for me long term due to the pollution during the burning season.
  14. Strange comment. Probably. over the years, millions of Europeans, Americans etc have managed the transition without ending up in hospital. The biggest danger for those citizens used to driving on the 'wrong' side of the road is crossing the roads on foot. They look left, right, left. Here they need to look right, left, right. Almost every time that I am out riding, I see them about to step out in front of me. 'Beep. Beep!'
  15. Here on Samui, safari truck drivers, closely followed by mini van drivers would top the list.
  16. Fixed it. My English wife loved to travel. At her memorial service, I explained to her family that we had visited 42 countries together. We lived in six of them for a period. When I asked her to pick a country to live in - her choice. She immediately chose Thailand. Most of her female friends here were English or European women. Some retired. Some working. Some had Thai boyfriends or husbands. Some were single with no plans to settle down.
  17. What is the point of having a vote? It does not matter who wins, the government will rig the result to put their favourites in place.
  18. Might it not have something to do with the clampdown on guns since the mall shooting? If I have read the news correctly, they have stopped selling all guns for a while. Including guns firing blanks and air guns.
  19. No, because I never run on empty, and I always top up when I am heading to the main town. More gas stations there.
  20. I think that you need to get out more and I do not mean to the beer bars. My UK wife chose to live in Thailand when I gave her the option of 'pick anywhere in the world'. All of my friends and associates bar two have non-Thai wives or long term girlfriends. Hold your breath here - I even work with Thais that have UK wives. I really do not understand why you are gobsmacked. Where I live, bar hopping DOM's are a rarity.
  21. Water quality of the water delivered to refill my pool after repairs. This was back in June when the water was 'better' quality.
