Buying house with land on Samui
Tropicalevo replied to oldmanstan's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Glad that you are not a greenhorn. You will survive! (I too live on Samui) Water truck prices went though the roof this year as even the well supplies are drying up. September we were paying 350 to 400 baht for a small truck (2 x mtr3) and 600 baht for a large truck (5-6 x mtr3). These were prices for 'regular' users. Ad hoc users were paying up to 900 baht for the larger trucks. The water quality from the trucks is terrible. Many owners are installing the large filter systems to their properties. We are on a private development and the owner has now improved the development water supply so we are using less trucks. I have heard that Suratthani are going to clamp down on unregistered wells, but that won't affect you as you are on government water. I will send a PM re the reason for a lawyer. -
Buying house with land on Samui
Tropicalevo replied to oldmanstan's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Lots of questions spring to mind on reading the original message. Most would be answered by a reliable lawyer - there are some on Samui. My concern is always the after-sale. Property access, electricity, water supply etc. The location of the property will decide a lot of these things. Government water ( it runs out every year) Government electricity (development electricity costs can be uncontrolled) and so on. Is the property on a government road and so on? -

Cracked it. Photos are not of this crime. Those photos are from another bust according to the BP. The article there is about two Taiwanese and two Japanese folk scamming 9.5 billion baht from people in Japan. Same main photo. -

Thai Singer Faces Reckless Driving Charges After Accident

Full marks to the guy. He did not flee the scene. He 'attended to the injured' before going to hospital himself. Then he handed himself in to the police. -

I do like his dressing up wardrobe. When he was the health minister, he had a number of different, white 'doctor's' outfits. Now that he is a minister in a civilian government, he wears military uniforms. He either likes dressing up or the uniforms help him to feel important.- 48 replies

The guy that decides enough is enough. Hamas break the existing ceasefire every day. Over a thousand rockets falling on civilians. Then the animals decide to 'invade' Israel and kill babies, children and women. Perhaps throw your 'criminal' insults at those animals. Hamas are the legal group in charge of Gaza. Voted in by the people of Gaza. What is the point of yet another meaningless ceasefire when Hamas ignore it daily?

What type of Doctor/surgeon/specialist
Tropicalevo replied to brianthainess's topic in Health and Medicine
My middle finger was bitten off by my dog at the first joint. It was a long time ago. I was flown to Bangkok and it was re-attached at Bangkok Hospital, Bangkok by a doctor who specialised in re-attaching penis's. Nice Japanese microsurgeon. Mine was his first finger re-attachment. He filmed the op and follow up. I would lend my dog to you to bite your finger off but he died some 20 years ago. -
The two emojis that I would vote for are a WTF (?) emoji and a thumbs down one 👎. I cannot believe what some folk post. 🫣
