4. From the BBC...

The last time these sides met at Bloomfield Road was in 1991, when a 1-0 win in the third round of the FA Cup set Tottenham on their way to a famous Wembley victory. Football folklore says Spurs win a trophy when the year ends in one, and given their scintillating form in Europe this season, anticipation is building in north London.

He's getting a bit excited if you ask me....:D

  5. I wonder how many new faces will appear in this pointless fixture tonight? Happy to see Lampard out there though...hopefully he will play the full 90 mins. ;)

I'll always be an England supporter, no matter what, but even i must admit, with the way our team is, and with what has been going on with FIFA, never before has my interest been this low. In truth, i'd be happy if we simply pulled out of the World Cup competition, so disgusted i am with it all.

no you stick with em mate, some people think its all over, , sadly for you mate it already is :bah::lol:

  6. Grim display from both sides....you didn't deserve to lose though.....

Watching Birmingham, watching Stoke, fuc_k that, it's not Football..

We're not even good enough to beat these Teams, thats' the frustrating thing, not good enough to beat a sh*t Team like Brum who use a freak as their main attacking focal point, fuc_kign ridiculous..

  7. I'm starting to think Redknapp has totally lost the plot. He's now talking about "buying" Beckham. We need to buy another midfielder do we!!!! And how old exactly will the guy be? :ermm::huh:

All this business of the last few days is a disaster for the aspirations we HAD and a total and utter embarrassment for the fans in general.

Well, Harry's going to trial, so they must think they have a very strong case against him and I would'nt be surprised if he does actually get sent down. ;)

If he gets sent down, he will probaly just leave his trusted lieutenants in charge until he gets out :o

nurse can you please wipe its chin , it seems to be chronically dribblin, much to my amusement, CROUCH , :D

farck me. theres not a level known to mankind that you fercwitt s wont deny

  9. It is pretty simple really. I do believe that most Liverpool supporters believe that the club will be back amongst the top 4 in 5 years time and given the quality (or lack of it) of the team and our current position that might appear highly optimistic. If we were a mid table club and not just currently a mid table team I would also agree it is delusional. But we are basically out to buy the best players to win the league in 5 years time so at least that is a good start. And why you should expect for Kenny to get anything other than 'better' results rather than 'good' results from the current squad I have no idea.

Best Post on the Thread & i'm in full agreement..

But the question Singh is do you think we are 'delusional' in believing we are going to be back amongst the top 4 or do you think it is 'optimistic' but a 'reasonable expectation'.

I will tell you why I go with the 'latter.'

You see 'Liverpool' is like a 'Gucci handbag'. As someone put it very clearly every single Liverpool supporter is a 'glory hunter'. Nothing but being at the top at the end will do. Lots of 'real fans' will tell you otherwise but it is not true. And I differentiate ourselves totally from Everton, Sunderland, Aston Villa blah blah blah etc who never ever really expect to reach these heights unless some stupid rich Arab comes along.

And then the argument simply becomes circular. I know FSG will invest in the team or they wouldnt have bought it in the first place. Suarez, Carroll and the next few guys will join because it is a chance to get into a top team when it is down. FSG have a calculator. Spurs have no fundamentals. Mid table is not a concept.

And the reason I am extremely confident is because I do stats. And FSG aim to win the league and they do stats. And as Liverpool has really not got even close to winning the league in a meaningful sense over the last 20 years they are clearly planning on some fairly aggressive replacement of the underlying fundamentals. Anyway top 4 will do me.

youre at whu onthe 27th,whether youre :"extremely" confident or not,

youre not malasyiian are ya ??????? stats?????? day do do dat dont day do

you do stats !!!!!, CARE TO ELABORATEon your last 19yearsstats, YOU DRIBBLING GERIATRIC NO MARK, SAD ACHT :P

  11. To add insult to injury Modric just had an emergency appendix OP yesterday and is out for a month.....how much more???? :(

sky reckon reckon's he will be out for two weeks, depending how you read it.

    http://www.skysports...6718235,00.html

but I reckon you are nearer the mark with a month. and then some for him to get back to his best.

being pessimistic it could well be 'thanks for a great season luca but see u next season'

I see tonight the Standard are reporting the same which makes me think he had keyhole surgery. Two weeks is still unlikely imo but he should be fit for the second leg.

My worry is our ability to defend away....its not our way of playing really and without three of our first choice midfielders.....:(

no need to start beating yiurself up already smokes, theres at least 15 other midfielders you can choose

and its only milan , not as if itscraven cottage

  12. Obsessed the pair of ya.

An American, Man United Reject who averages 11 Goals per Season for Villareal, that's Marquee for you Imola..

Even Darren Bent averages more than that..:D

I can see it now " But Daniel, Daniel, everyone's spending money & we must compete, we must compete Daniel, your Hair looks nice today Daniel. Can i buy someone Daniel, can i ?? "

" Yes Henry, i'll spend 30m Quid on Giueseppi Rossi for you "

ah sing thats where youre wrong mate ,

as according to alfie , twitchy has nothing to do with spuds transfers whatsoever , he only picks the team , you see

  16. Benzema's been replaced i see Imola >> Forlan..:D

Great to see Dawson back fit yesterday, really was..

A word from the Hood is that Woodgate's gonna be back & raring to go soon too, whichh is more good news & the obviious reason why you haven't bought a decent Centre Half & are buying Forlan, cos you're got so many..:D

    Good old H..

yeah, and twitchy going to full trial shortly, on top of all that,

mind you that woodgate fella has a potentially bright future apparently, now that he is settled

on the other hand , big clubs deal with this day in day out

The Forlan deal aint happening it seems thank <deleted> for that £17m for a 31 year old?

    Anyone got some anti-depressants? :o:ermm::blink:

hope it aint becoming all a bit too "delusional" for you ;)

Arrh the memories come flooding back. Its the "cracks are appearing" one liners from the spammers. Where would we be without their sublime predictability. :whistling:
