Japanese, rather than Korean I think.

Snake oil sales pitch in English at magnusamerica.com/en/product.php?id=14

Thank you Oxx. I checked the site you indicated.

Must be an other product with the same name. (TIT)

"Mine" must be a Thai product. All the information about this product is in Thai. Including Facebook and YouTube.

Now I know. The UMEGOLD is made by "Siam Health and Beauty care" in Samut Sakorn. They have a colorful but absolutely useless website, (and no English proof reader).

  2. "UME GOLD" . Apparently good for everything, from hair-loss till sweaty feet. Innovation from Korea. (Not made in...). 1'890.-- Baht for 10 sachets a 3 gr. Big discount if you buy 6 boxes.

Also available from Lazada etc. I googled it for more information. All the sites in Thai. Could not find anything in English. My wife tried it. Her skin got all red and itchy.  Now she wants me to try it. Understandably I am not very enthusiastic.  I would be very thankful for more information.

(Just on the side, a good one from my wife: "I am not a garbage can for BS!)

I think you would enjoy Christopher G Moore  ..if you haven't already discoverd him..

Thank you Laza.  Yes, I enjoy reading Christopher G Moore. He also edited a book "bangkok noir". A collection of stories from the following writers: John Burdett, Pico Iyer, Christopher G Moore, Timothy Hallinan, Dean Barrett, Eric Stone, Stephen Leather, Colin Cotterill, Tew Bunnag, Alex Kerr, Vasit Dejkunjorn, Collin Piprell.

I will check the kirkusreviews. I am not impressed by the reviews from goodreads.

And while  I am here, "1421"  by Gavin Menzies, is an interesting read.

Ah yes.........have to ensure that the extremely wealthy and influential/well connected owner of a certain winery here can benefit from increased sales. After all got to keep his son on the run and buy him a new Ferrari.

Who is going to buy "locally made wine" because a bottle is 25 Baht cheaper?

Does it really matter?  Subaru lovers only want Subarus.  Service is secondary as there are no other cars really like them.  I wish I had that kind of coin.  I have wanted a Subaru since the Brat

Service really matters, if you only have 1 car, and you need it every day.

I am not a Subaru fan, but I like the WRX STI.

    Auto Salon BKK. 5. - 9. July.

  6. On June 12th I took a taxi from  departure at Suvarnabhumi airport. After a few km the driver said the engine was overheating and I have to change the taxi. Another taxi stopped and we switched. After another few km the taxi slowed down and stopped. The first taxi stopped, opened his window, smiled, and handed me over my wallet.  Only about 10'000 Baht but all my cards. I gave him 1'000 Baht. He was happy, and I was very happy.

A day later I took a taxi to Klong Thom. I forgot my fanny pack in the car. No money inside. Angry at myself I walked slowly along the road, when the taxi driver waved at me, and gave me my pack back. Another 1'000 Baht gone. Driver happy and Papa very happy.  BTW, I never had a bad experience with a taxi driver.
