Your wife has more sense than you.
Were you also thinking of forcing her to have singing lessons, and then building her an opera house all of her own?

This softly softly approach where they talk about rehabiltating them rather than jailing them is absurd.
It maybe "racially profiling" but when i have met English "teachers" in Thailand I always assume the worst of them.

The scope has now broadened to 24 schools, with the inclusion of Bundalong South Primary School, Chelsea Heights Primary School, Cowes Primary School, Drouin South Primary School, Kunyung Primary School, and Warragul Primary School. This expansion underscores the gravity of the issue."

Minor Update DrJack54
I know that you are well versed in all visa issues and not sure if this is indeed a new thing
Neighbor checked with van organiser / border run he was told TM30 was indeed requisite
not sure if maybe its a mistake but he already has a TM30 printed out to take on SUNDAY
Much like say four years ago when they really tightened up on visa hops the van booking agent studied your passport to say if they thought you would be allowed a border run.
These drivers/agents do it all the time they know more than us sometimes.
I will update the thread as to whether he required it at the border, although we are assuming its a exit / entry thing they are saying because you are basically out in they are thinking you are returning to same address at least that is how i understand it so we await updated news.I left Thailand on 5th January (overland/river) to obtain an SETV in Laos.
The night of 4th January I removed my TM30 receipt from my passport and started using it as a bookmark.
Nobody at Thai Immigration (Departure) made any mention of the absence of TM30 evidence in my passport.

It is probably for leaving Thailand.
If you do not have a TM 30 you have broken the immigration law.
I do not have one, I have broken no law.
My house mistress, with whom I lodge, has failed, as usual, to notify Immigration within the recommended time frame.
It is she that is at fault.
When we go to immigration to extend my SETV it is me, as usual, who will cough up the fine on her behalf........first thing, as usual, when we arrive there.
She will then do the report and I will get a copy of the "Receipt of Notification" stapled in my passport.
After that I'll do the extension.
Last time there wasn't any fine......nice surprise.
The officer said there would be an 800baht fine the next time if the report wasn't done again, which wouldn't be so bad considering that previously I have had to pay more than that.......I think it was 1900baht before.
Since the last extension I obtained a new SETV in Laos (a couple of weeks ago) and mistress has not reported me......we'll see how it actually goes, in a few weeks time, when I extend again.
A person staying in an hotel or guest house, or lodging with their mistress friend, is not the person who is liable for the report.

I've asked this before but a long time ago. I want to turn my bike into a Salaeng (I think that's what it's called) like a food cart but with seats. You see them all the time at Bal Hi Pier. Does anybody have any idea where I can buy one? I already have a motorbike so I need the attachment. I know it will slow me down thru traffic but it's a lot more stable than 2 wheels and at 76 I'm not as stable as I used to be. I have just purchased a 3-wheel electric scooter for short distances but I need something for travelling from one end of Pattaya to the other.
The businesses that used to sell them on Sukhumvit don't seem to exist any more.
Flog your current bike and get yourself one of these:
"Yamaha Tricity 2024 Motorcycle
The ยามาฮ่า ไตรซิตี้ is offered Petrol engine in the Thailand. The new Scooter from ยามาฮ่า comes in a total of 4 variants. If we talk about ยามาฮ่า ไตรซิตี้ engine specs then the Petrol engine displacement is 155 cc. ไตรซิตี้ is available with CVT transmission. The ไตรซิตี้ is a 2 Seater Scooter and has a length of 1980 mm the width of 750 mm, and a wheelbase of 1350 mm. along with a ground clearance of 125 mm."

How can this be the inaugural seaplane terminal? What about the failed seaplane venture around 2008?
The aeroplane was an amphibious seaplane and used Phuket runway:
But did the service have its own, dedicated terminal building and ground handling/operational area?
That is what's being "inaugurated".
It's even possible that this is the sort of thing they might have in mind, Noovilu Seaplane Terminal , Maldives:

If loser or not, that can be right. Maybe he is. However, any PM in any country will be a kind of salesman. Their job is to engage in discussions with other nations, gain their trust and interest in buying what the country has on offer as well as investing in the country. That is actually describing the work of a salesman selling in the country and it´s products to other countries to be able to better the economy. Of course he also have duties like you describe.
What you are describing is the work of the "Minister of Trade".
That's where he belongs
Not PM.

After a minute or so re-writing I move to another thread, forgetting about this one.

Does anyone here know where I can find an analysis of what these particles in the air are? I have seen mention in articles that the pollution comes from diesel engines, from black smoke from vehicles, from stubble burning, from building sites...What is the truth? I saw mention that the Air Force is going to spray from planes to make rain to 'wash' the particles out of the air. And then where do those particles go? Into the water table? And what is being sprayed from these planes? Is that the cause of the air pollution? So I go back to my initial question? Where is the analysis of what the particles are? Once the particles are known efforts can be made to find the source and to prevent distribution at source, maybe...

There was a big explosion and fire at the dragon museum in Suphanburi city a few years back and they had to rebuild a lot of it.
You have to be careful when storing/handling/displaying dead dragons.
They are liable to explosive spontaneous combustion if their fire chamber isn't properly drained during the postmortem preservation process.
What happens is that any residual fire liquid crystallises and.........etc, etc.

You are all temporary visitors. This is not your country. These dogs have a right to exist in their own country. It's not up to you to decide whether they should be killed or not. You choose to come here - so adapt. Or leave. It's a simple as that. Don't start slinging your western values around. This isn't a western country. Those values don't apply. Only the Thai Government has the right to intercede. And if they don't, well then that's it.
As has been said before - you can tell the quality of a person by the way they interact with animals.

Not sure of the correct name for the mental disorder that people who talk that sort of nonsense have, but it is, without doubt, a mental disorder:

I would not mind it , if the would start with you.
I have a simple personality test for people. Anyone who does not love dogs has something seriously wrong with them and is to be avoided and kept an eye on. Removal from the gene pool is recommended but a lobotomy is not necessary IMO as one seems to have naturally happened to them during birth.
Is there an uncontrolled dog problem Thailand? sure is, are there better and more humane solutions other that what the Op is suggesting?
Absolutely! and many other countries have successfully adopt them. A nationally comprehensive spay and neuter program would see immediate reduction, and total elimination of the problem with in a dog generation.
Not unlike the program I suggest for those who don't love dogs
And anyone who loves dogs is a really well balanced individual?;And just to emphasise what a lovely person he was:
What was it you said?......."It would start with you".
You mean the "Solution" to the "People not Loving Dogs Problem"
How about getting a conference together to plan it?.........I hear that "Haus Wannsee" is still taking bookings.

Street protests are just a further step along the road to the inevitable.
