  1. I did search as stated in the first line of my post lol, for whatever reason I failed to pull up that very helpful thread with the video containing the info I needed.
  2. Yes motorcycles, is it different for cars? I have a Canadian licence.
  3. Did a search but couldnt find the answer, what are the requirements for getting a Thai licence? What Visa do you need? Is it impossible for "tourists" to get one? Does Thailand allow foreigners to use their home country's licence as a valid licence for a certain amount of time? Thankyou
  4. Was thinking of buying a D-Tracker but the seats are hard as stone, unrideable for me for more than 10 minutes. Does anyone know a place I could order and get installed a softer seat?
  5. Hey looking into possible residential care for an elderly person in Thailand. Does anyone here have experience with family members using a service like that in Thailand? The length of stay is undecided and location not super important although Bangkok might be easier. Another option is a rented apartment where a nurse comes to provide care. Thankyou for any information.
  6. This is the information I found: "From 1 July, 2022, foreign nationals are only required to show proof of either a certificate of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result within 72 hours of travel. These can be in a print or digital format. Random checks will be made on arrivals at Thailand’s international airports or land border checkpoints (in 22 provinces). Unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travellers who are random checked and who are unable to show proof of a pre-arrival negative test will be required to undergo a professional ATK test at the point of entry."
  7. Great news, to be clear when we arrive in Thailand we will still need to show a test taken in the departing country within 72 hours of arriving right?
  8. yes, do you know what the difference is between RT-PCR and ATK tests?
  9. No which is why she does actually require a covid test within 72 hours before arriving according to the website.
  10. Hi, I was wondering if anyone had experience with covid tests to enter thailand and/or with taking a test within Thailand to go to another country. Did any of you do the saliva test and does it count? Im asking because my mother has very little tolerance for anything getting shoved up her nose, shes old and scared and if theres an option to do a saliva test that would be great.
  11. Is it possible to open a Thai bank account with just a tourist visa or visa on arrival? Either a certain bank or a special type of account or is it just not possible? Thanks
