Hi, I was wondering if anyone had experience with covid tests to enter thailand and/or with taking a test within Thailand to go to another country. Did any of you do the saliva test and does it count? Im asking because my mother has very little tolerance for anything getting shoved up her nose, shes old and scared and if theres an option to do a saliva test that would be great.

Is it possible to open a Thai bank account with just a tourist visa or visa on arrival? Either a certain bank or a special type of account or is it just not possible? Thanks

Not sure where to post this. I was planning a big trip to Thailand with my mother but realised Thailand does that hugely invasive and painful nasopharyngeal swab (when they push the swab deep into your nasal canal towards your brain) instead of the test we are used to in our country which just swabs the inside of your nostril. Theres no way my mother will be able or willing to handle the deep swab so I was wondering when are people being tested in Thailand? When would she need that deep swab test? Is it possible to do any other kind of testing? Thanks for any information.

Yup Im aware of the costs. Just not fully aware of all the benefits so was hoping someone who had it could tell me if its really worth it. Are the extensions for the retirement visa difficult or annoying to do? Im looking for as easy a time as possible, Im not 50 yet but its getting closer so it is something to consider. Not married.

Hey was just wondering if anyone that has the elite visa would recommend it? I was looking at getting it but then noticed the retirement visa starts at age 50 correct? Wanted to get a drivers licence so not sure if retirement visa allows that. Would like to hear from anyone that has Elite and if they like it and also if people with the retirement visa are happy with that. Thanks
