  1. Hi All.

Hegan did you forget his role with many other Red Shirts who tried their best to start a revolution in Bangkok.

They want so much for their Boss to come back in triumph and reward them with millions of stolen Baht,Its not going to happen HagenThe Ignorant people who vote for him and take his Judas money are all going to take a big fall, Cop yourself on man and get real.

    phupaman

so why you don't just say "i hate thaksin".

keep it simple. just say 'i hate thaksin' and don't bother with facts or reasonable arguments. "i hate thaksin" that will be enough.

  2. I always pretend to pick up a stone, and run at them pretending to throw it, up to now, they have always run off petrified, then they come back again, so I keep on doing it until they get fed up.

This one has worked 100% of the time for me too. My Thai partner schooled me on this one and he says the secret to this trick is to do it quickly. (Shock and Awe) When it becomes apparent that the dogs are being sketchy, as quickly as you can reach down and grab a rock (real or imagined) and throw it overhand immediately without pause. Don't give them the opportunity to think about whether you're serious about your offensive or if you've really got a rock. They always seem to assume the rock is coming if you surprise them. And be ready immediately with a real projectile to send after them as they retreat to dissuade any second thoughts on their part.

NEVER EVER just pretend to do it. Just do it. if there are rocks around, take a rock and throw it as hard as you can at them. do that all the time.

only this way the whole think works out or what you thing how these dogs know that it is better to keep distance. that is no natural instinct but conditioning. the dog knows and fears it because other people throw rocks at them and hurt them. if there are to many pretenders the effect will wear off and no dog is no more impressed by a human pretending to grabbing a stone.

move into a muslim neighborhood, no soi dogs.

BANGKOK, 1 July 2009 (NNT) – Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra phoned-in talk to thank Puea Thai MPs and the election campaigning team in helping each other towards the two victories in the northeastern provinces by-elections.

During the Puea Thai’s victory celebration of the by-elections, Mr Thaksin said he would make CDs on solutions to the economic woes for the Puea Thai party to be used in conducting policies and perform better, estimating that the Government would experience problems from the failure to solve the economic crisis within two to three months.

  6. achh, Thanh. that are the official criminal charges, that got published in the newspaper.

What a load of thoroughbred arse. Was it those "traffic violations" you repeatedly harp on about making international headlines on those days?

Just a series of illegal left turns?

yup, that is whatever institution, police or court brought up on charges. it's discussed very early in the thread here, that the traffic law violation charges seems to be odd, admitted. but they are there and i didn't make that up. violation of traffic laws, and illegal assembly of more than 10 persons, against the emergency rule. and instigate others to break these laws.

there was als a conviction by the court, 4 red shirts so far.

Four red shirts were convicted yesterday for violating the emergency rule by involving in the blockade of traffic at Din Daeng but had their jail term suspended for one year.

I hope you don't misunderstand that more than 100 were dead.

A topic in this website said at least 77 but the later number was over 100. Do your own search as I don't have the FAQ page.

She clearly says more than 100 dead there.

she is talking about the injured in the crack down.

the monday morning number was 77. that figure become higher later in the day.

  9. Or that pseudo democrtats using the military to crack down the protests of the people and jail them for some silly crimes like "using loud speakers without permission" and " illegal assembly of more than 10 people"

    Yeah, Mr. red.

And some more silly little things such as interrupting an international summit, burning public buses, hijacking gas tankers, threatening some people with death, killing some others, setting buildings on fire, holding a whole city hostage (Bangkok) and disabling access to others (Chiang Mai!), making Thailand a monkey-house in the world's view (as all of their actions had been televised around the world) etc etc etc.

Anyone in jail yet? No? See something..??

HVT, get your brain washed again please, but use "Breeze" this time, that red soap sucks.

achh, Thanh. that are the official criminal charges, that got published in the newspaper. that are the facts that i can substantiate and so i mentioned them. and it is not my washed up brain. i didn't made that up.

if you can come up with a reference , where Veera is charged with 'killing some others' or 'holding a city hostage', please do so.

i gave the link what the International Federation for Human Rights said about charges like "using loud speakers without permission"

Attorney-General for Foreign Affairs Denies Report of Thaksin Being in Asia

    UPDATE : 29 June 2009

An attorney-general tasked with foreign affairs ministry revealed he has not received any confirmation regarding that former Prime Minister Thaksin is now hiding in Asia.

Sirisak Tiyaphan, director-general of office of attorney-general of foreign litigation said he has not received confirmation, from the Foreign Affairs Ministry or from the police tasked with determining Thaksin's whereabouts, regarding a report that Thaksin is now residing in Asia.

He added that so far, all the Foreign Affairs Ministry can confirm is that Thaksin has stayed in the United Arab Emirates and Nicaragua.

The Ministry has sent verbal notes asking for cooperation in apprehending Thaksin from the two countries, but to no avail.

Sirisak said the possibility of having Thaksin tried on Thai soil before his conviction expires depends mainly on efforts to have a bilateral extradition treaty drawn up between Thailand and the countries where Thaksin has been hiding.

He added that Thai authorities were currently in cooperation with the Canadian government to have Ragues Saksena, who was charged with committing fraud while holding the post of consultant to the CEO of the now-defunct Bangkok Bank of Commerce, extradited back to Thailand.

A Canadian court earlier ruled that Ragues must be tried under Thai jurisdiction, but Ragues appealed the ruling. The Supreme Court of Canada will consider his appeal on Aug 12.

If the Supreme Court finds that he must be tried in Thailand, Ragues will have no legal means left to delay the trial and Thai authorities will have 45 days to arrange for his extradition.

Ragues was charged with more than ten counts of fraud and the charges are set to expire in 2010. If he is sent back to Thailand, Sirisak said the legal proceedings against him can start immediately.

  11. Hi All.

Hagen If true what you wrote , That makes Veera a persistant offender incapable of learning from his past mistakes, Most Judge's would take a dim view of this and give a more severe sentence.I hope so.

I rest my case, my honour.

It is a sad thing that people with google education and their copypasta paragraphs and sentences don't understand that a mixture of some quotes can not be a substitute for an own argumentation and there is still the question left what wanted the cut up poet actually say. Most of the time it also lacks a proper list of references and indication of the source. That is the final hint for being google educated only.

  13. It could have been written by a Thai who has lived a long time in the west and really internalized the western point of view. More likely in my view, written by a long term European descent person in Thailand who is putting on Thai airs and imagines that he has internalized the Thai point of view. I also can't imagine the PM of Thailand writing such a piece.
    schadenfreude, indeed!

If I had a dollar for every Thai who uses that word in everyday conversation I could buy a latte at Starbucks!

Nobody use Schadenfreude in everyday conversation.

Ever learned a second language and be able to read the literature, the newspapers in that language. Also able to write down your opinions in that language?

I would say the text has a couple of stylistic characteristics, features that let me assume it is not written by an English native speaker or somebody who grow up from his earliest childhood in an (western) English-speaking environment. The text has some minimal stylistic flaws, weakness you cannot fake as native speaker. That marker you can maybe only spot if you are able to speak a second language.

Anyway, it's negligible if the text was written by a Thai person, or somebody else. Why trying to guess the author, when you have a long text with lots of arguments already. Check the claims that the text made and look if there are valid points. There are a lot of them, funny is that some people cannot accept them.

In the end, it's nothing new. The text gives a fair and correct description of certain aspects of thaivisa forum. However, nothing new, nothing what I did not know before, saying that - I can only agree with that polite 'rant'.

  14. PM Abhisit says ousted premier should return to Thailand, serve sentence

BANGKOK, June 30 (TNA) - Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said Tuesday he had heard that convicted, ousted former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra is now living in an Asian country and suggested that the ex-premier should return to Thailand and serve his jail sentence.

Mr. Abhisit said he had received information from the secretary to Foreign Affairs Minister Kasit Piromya that Mr. Thaksin had left Dubai and is now staying in an Asian country but he still has no details.

The former premier, ousted in a bloodless coup in September 2006, should refrain from doing anything to threaten Thailand’s security, Mr. Abhisit asserted. Mr. Thaksin should not break the law.

Thailand will seek Mr. Thaksin’s extradition if he is staying in a country which has an extradition agreement with the kingdom, Mr. Abhisit warned.

The prime minister said he was not worried in the event that Mr. Thaksin wanted to return home because he, Mr. Abhisit himself, had suggested earlier that the ex-premier should return and receive “punishment.”

Mr. Thaksin was sentenced to two years in jail by the Supreme Court last year for helping his then wife buy prime land in central Bangkok at a discounted price while he was prime minister.

Asked whether his government is sincere in returning Mr. Thaksin to receive a jail sentence, Mr. Abhisit said it is best if the former prime minister comes back to receive the punishment as it would demonstrate that in Thailand “no one is above the law.”

He said that a number of projects undertaken by the Thaksin government, including housing for low-income earners, had created problems, and that corruption charges are still pending with the Office of the National Counter Corruption Commission for several cases. (TNA)

  15. UAE set to pounce on Thaksin

    By: THANIDA TANSUBHAPOL

    Newspaper section: News

MANAMA : The United Arab Emirates has promised to expel ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and send him to Thailand if he is found in Dubai. While the two countries do not have an extradition treaty, there is a reciprocal arrangement that allows for the exchange of fugitives.

The issue was raised in talks yesterday between Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya and his UAE counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the sidelines of the meeting of foreign ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in Bahrain.

Mr Kasit said Thailand had already sent six fugitives to the UAE as requested by Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Abdullah admitted Thaksin had stayed in Dubai, Mr Kasit said.

I'd have to say that if OP is trying to claim that Thais/Asians/Etc. are not interested in sex, then either he/she hasn't really been around many Asians or perhaps only neutered ones.

And what the heck is "the western man?"

"Veera is a true red-shirt who is firm in his stand against the government because of its double standards and illegitimacy. So he does not need to talk to Mr Abhisit and does not see this as a loss of opportunity," said Jatuporn.

You cannot say that they don't have humour.

The refusal is actually a backlash for the PM PR machine. what these guys had expected, it's too late. it would have been cool if Abhisit had done this right at the beginning of his time as PM. Invite the Reds for open talks, if he wanted national unity. This way he could have for sure more than a couple of the reds convinced that he isn't such a bad guy. However, the reds got underestimated, ignored, false hope the movement will dry out alone. Wrong. Chasing them with paper bullets. And now when it look s dark and darker for the future of the government he suddenly wants a talks show with the anti coup activist Veera. Not with Mark M16. Isn't Veera also under investigation and got arrested for "on criminal charges of breaking traffic laws, inciting people to break the law and illegal assembly of more than 10 people"5bafeaaa.jpg

During the time Junta time as the military was also official in power, Veera got arrested on very similar charges "holding an illegal assembly of at least 10 people that caused unrest, instigating violence, using loud speakers without permission, and resisting orders from authorities".5bafeaaa.jpg Follow the link to read what the The International Federation for Human Rights said then about it.

The Rally last weekend was again under supervision by the military.

  18. Chalerm unconcerns over MPs disqualification

BANGKOK, 29 June 2009 (NNT) – Puea Thai MPs Chairperson Police Captain Chalerm Yubamrung expressed no concern over his MPs being disqualified by the Election Commission in holding shares of companies with state concession.

Police Captian Chalerm said Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva must consider this issue carefully. He said if there would be by-elections to replace disqualified MPs and the Puea Thai party could gain more seats, the Prime Minister must pledge not to dissolve the House according to the political courtesy.

Yet, Police Captain Chalerm stated further if the Prime Minister expected that the Government could not beat the Puea Thai in by-elections, he suggested that House dissolution might be better in order to complete everything in only one election.

The Puea Thai MPs Chairperson added that if there would be a fresh election and the Puea Thai party could win and form a new Government, he would proceed with the amnesty bill for the benefit of everyone. He also said that he would bring Mr Thaksin Shinawatra back to Thailand to help solve the current overwhelming issues in the nation.

  19. EC postpones ruling on shareholding case of MPs to 14 July

BANGKOK, 30 June 2009 (NNT) - The Election Commission (EC) has resolved to reschedule its ruling on the shareholding case of 28 Democrat MPs until 14 July 2009.

EC Secretary-General Suthipol Thaweechaikarn reasoned that the postponement to 14 July was necessary since Election Commissioner Praphan Naikowit had to perform his duty in monitoring an election in Indonesia.

Mr Suthipol added that the EC earlier expected to start its examination on the case today after receiving the petition from Puea Thai Spokesman Supachai Jaisamut last week, which alleged that the 28 Democrat MPs had breached the Constitution due to their shareholding in private companies that had concessions with the government.
