Mostly pure liberal gobbledygook. Riots have been happening in the US for years. There is nothing unique about them. Well, mostly riots are perpetrated by leftist thugs. So there is that. They've rioted during Republican and Democrat presidents. So there's that. Leftists are just generally unhappy people. It's a prerequisite, really.
Just take this shooting, for example. Apparently, night after night of violence in Minneapolis by ordinary citizens is acceptable. A black Muslim shooting an unarmed white, barefoot, Australian woman who had just called 911 to report a disturbance? Not a problem. No one one rioted. When black person after black person is assaulted, beaten, raped or murdered in Minneapolis, no one cares. But a white cop kills a black man, with virtually the entire country calling for him to be arrested- and leftists riot. And they riot even after the cop is arrested and charged!
And yes, leftists hate America. You can tell by the posts right here on TVF from your fellow leftists. You can tell by what leftists protest and support, in addition to what they riot over. They chanted for dead cops now in New York City. Five Dallas cops were murdered after a Black Lives Matter rally in Dallas. They rioted against capitalism at a G20 summit (meh... maybe that was Canada, leftists all look the same to me). They hate capitalism. They hate cops. They hate America.
Indeed America is divided. It's a battle between evil leftist thugs who hate America and love Chinese communists versus normal Americans who just want to work and live in peace.
Whose side are you on? I think we all know the answer to that.
Oh, but I did find that Drama Queen stuff from the Washington Post mildly amusing thanks for that at least. I must say, it's comical watching people trying to blame thuggery in a liberal city and state on Trump quite amusing.
I would have just one suggestion for you. Figure out who America's enemies are. Hint: whining about capitalism is a solid indicator.
The fly in the ointment in this case is that the helpless victim was killed while pleading for his life on video.
And the person who for 10 minutes appeared to be relishing in the deliberate taking of his life was supposed to be a policeman, an upholder of the law who had promised to protect and serve the public.
Take the ethnic identities out of the equation, a man has been murdered in cold blood in broad daylight for all the world to see.
Any previous form George Floyd may have had is of no consequence nor is the authenticity of the mysterious vanishing fake $20 note.
The resultant rioting was a foregone conclusion that even a mentally deficient tadpole could have foreseen and should not detract from the awful crime we witnessed taking place on our TV screens.

A couple of paragraphs should do the trick.

To you maybe. To the rest of us it's obvious Antifa fascists and anarchists are stirring up a lot of the trouble.
But this bit of trouble is solely down to the actions of those four so called policemen.

You've got a point there.
Russians, Iranians and Chinese are probably phoning up black Americans right now and telling them to go out and riot and maybe get a new TV set!
Just like back in June 2016 a Russian sounding gentleman phoned me up and urged me to vote against Brexit.

Many of them become "nasty pieces of work" from working as police. I thought about joining law enforcement at one time. Then I started meeting cops.
I had a friend that was one of the nicest guys I had ever known. He was a volunteer fireman, a paramedic and would always join in whenever anyone needed help.
After working for some time as a volunteer deputy, he finally got on permanently. After about a year and a half, his mood had changed. He now trusted no one, saw everyone as a suspect, and had nothing nice to say about people. I stopped hanging around him.
Unfortunately, when all you do is deal with people in violation of law, you soon become paranoid and callous. And, among the group, their are those that go over the top. They usually won't stand out from the others that have grown tired of public in general.
In the Floyd case, the cop had raise a number of red flags. His instability was apparent. There should others held accountable.
But, in the end, Floyd, although the spark, is not what is fueling the continued rioting.
I met a British police officer holidaying in Pattaya a few years back and would sometimes chew the fat with him. He told me much the same thing.
He said words to the effect that "We know the public hate us and we in turn hate the public. You can't speak your mind at work for fear of colleagues grassing you up. I hate the job and can't wait till I can retire".
He also expressed a hatred for a certain ethnic minority and came across as a very bitter and f......ed up man when he spoke of his true feelings. But I could see it from his point of view and it did not surprise me.
It made me see why so many coppers we encounter are often nasty ba...ards and rarely have civilian friends. I did not envy his choice of profession.
But none of this excuses the actions of those four cops in Minneapolis.

Allegedly using FAKE MONEY.
Has the note yet been confirmed as having been fake.
There are rumours that that Chauvin and Floyd had bad blood from when they worked as doormen at the nightclub. Chauvin is reputed to be on suicide watch probably for a number of reasons not just for the obvious one.
-
It's come to light that Chauvin and Floyd had both worked as bouncers at the same night club in the past and this incident could possibly be the result of some grudge that existed between the two in the past.
Bouncers are often somewhat unsavoury characters and if there had been bad blood between the two of 'em this killing could have been the final chapter of a long standing feud.
I'm not saying that it was just that it's a possibility. More speculation but a bit of a coincidence.

You kneel on a fit healthy 20 year old man's neck for nearly 10 minutes he's still going to die. Try it some time, Oh no you'd better not, you'll get arrested for murder.

George Floyd died from the combined effects of being restrained by police, potential intoxicants and his underlying health issues, including heart disease, according to preliminary findings from an autopsy.
It revealed nothing to support strangulation as the cause of death, the Associated Press reported.
What exactly are or were these 'potential intoxicants' and how exactly did they affect his underlying health issues?

I understand you are emotional right now, but when you calm down and think rationally read the autopsy report again.
Where does the report mention how long it takes to die if deprived of air.
It's a stupid, meaningless report for stupid people who want to excuse the actions of a power crazed thug and his cronies in police uniforms.

Maybe the looters and guys burning private property should take a breather and read
And maybe the cop, Chauvin should have taken a breather and asked Floyd if he had any underlying health condition that might prove fatal if a cop knelt on his neck for ten minutes.
I watched the whole video and did not hear Chauvin ask Floyd a single question about his health.
So you could say Chauvin was even more guilty of murder for not inquiring about the victim's health than he actually is. Most middle aged people are going to die if deprived of air for more than a minute.
Also from the internet.

Some of the mindset is here on this thread - white, male, middle to late age, entitled, racist, unthinking - who believe that the "other" is always at fault, and not the man on their own team. They will dissemble and distract just as their Dear Leader does, trying to pass the buck and all blame and get everyone thinking and talking about anything but the original sin.
PH
I think that most on here as in the real world think that the cop was a murdering thug who should have to answer for his actions and be treated like any common killer regardless of race or colour.
It crazy how some can't resist any opportunity to do their 'racist routine'.

i assumed from your post that trump should order the arrest of the offending officer that you are not an american, and are unfamiliar with how our system works.
i reference trump in the same sentence, as he too seems to be unfamiliar with the limits of his power.
I don't actually believe Trump did actually order any arrests nor try to.
But he should have, both for moral reasons and if he wants to win in November.

As for ‘mistreating’ a black person - he was MURDERED!!
Thankfully coppers are treated very badly in US jails, I hope his almost certain demise will be a painful one!
His wife won’t be at the funeral as she had just filed for divorce ashamed of him!
This is what I typed.
"While blacks can conceivably riot each time white cops mistreat a black person."

Thank you.

I'm sure you want the looters and the folks setting fire to buildings and vehicles to be held accountable. As far as the cop goes, we'll see after all is investigated.
The whole world has seen what the cop did. It hardly needs an investigation, it's all on film.
So are the consequences of what the police officer/nightclub bouncer did. (The rioting, looting and burning).
Any cop knows what killing a black prisoner in public view will definitely cause. According to the media violence is now erupting across the US.
Nice one Officer Chauvin. At least your crime has knocked Covid 19 off the headlines.
LBC a popular British phone in radio station has been discussing the matter of George Floyd's murder.
I for one won't be surprised if they start rioting in Brixton again if this nice weather lasts much longer!

the president's role at this point is to express condolences to the family, to call for peaceful demonstrations, to extend support to the mayor or governor if requested, and of course to call for a full and transparent investigation without assigning blame. a president declaring a man guilty would be interference in the justice system, would prevent a fair trial, and may even be grounds for acquittal.
compare trump's twoots to biden's comments on the situation. which man is looking more presidential?
“This is no time for incendiary tweets. It’s no time to encourage violence,” he said. “We need to stand up as a nation, with the black community, with all minority communities, and come together as one America.”

There's no need to start getting personal. Whether I like Trump or not is nothing to do with the topic.
If Trump could not order their arrest at least he could have expressed support for it.

You mean they were at work, or at home caring for their family? At lest we agree conservatives were not involved in this orgy of violence and mayhem. You see, productive members of society just do not grasp any excuse for a mass burn and riot and loot, they have morals and responsibilities. The more I see of this craziness on the streets the more sure I am that Trump will triumph in November. American voters by and large do not want to see this this behavior excused and normalized. A lesson CNN is now learning the hard way.
But Trump missed the boat here.
Even conservatives found the murder or killing of Floyd to be be unacceptable and would have expected the POTUS to act immediately by ordering the arrest of the those seen committing the crime.
Had he done so he'd have won over many blacks as well. It suits no one to have racial disharmony let alone racial hatred. This crime will only promote it and destroy any trust that black voters may have had in Trump.
It seems Big Don is a bit of a fool after all.

Just occurs to me after watching the riots on tv, out of all the people there behaving violently, I have not seen one singe MAGA hat? I wonder who these people are?
You can't expect the MAGA Hat Mob to join in but if Trump was worth his salt he'd have jumped on the bandwagon immediately and ordered the arrest of the four cops or at least that of Chauvin.
That would have won him millions of black votes at the next election in November. A quick murder charge will guarantee him winning it. The chance of a lifetime.
But it seems big Don has been caught napping on this occasion.

The now ex-cop whose actions are responsible for all this has just been arrested.
“Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who has been identified as the man who put his knee on George Floyd’s neck, has been arrested in connection to Floyd’s death.
John Mark Harrington, the Minnesota department of public safety commissioner, announced the news shortly after a press conference about the Minneapolis protests ended.
Harrington did not offer any information about the specific charges filed against Chauvin, and it’s unclear whether the three other officers who were also fired after Floyd’s death will be arrested.“
They are all responsible. The Chinese looking cop could easily have pulled Chauvin off but was too cowardly or stupid to do so.
What a disgraceful excuse for a police force.
And people can't understand why the blacks start rioting and looting! We don't even know what crime Floyd had committed!

Are you serving on the jury? I don't see proof he was killed right there. Again you are watching a video and making assumptions. You read the coroners report?
The black man was pleading, saying he could not breathe which is what is always likely to be the case when a well built man kneels on your neck for 8 minutes. Surely you realise that. It's not an 'assumption'!
And if you do realise that then you must also realise that being deprived of air is a sure fire way of killing someone. Neither is that an assumption.
Try holding your breath for just one minute. Do it for eight minutes and you'll will probably die or be brain dead. You know that. So did the cop.

And some people believe in fairies at the bottom of the garden.
But any cop with half a brain knew that the actions of this psychopath were going to cause massive civil unrest. This is the 21st century.
Hell, even the dopiest of shop keepers knew what to expect. You knew it, I knew it everyone knew it. I've seen it in London, you've seen it in countless US cities. We live with the possibility.
The cop who committed this immoral, illegal act was the perpetrator of any subsequent crime because of his totally irresponsible behaviour.
He possibly wanted civil unrest, he probably thrives on his ability to cause mayhem, it's his reason to exist and probably the main reason why he became a copper. Traffic wardens and some prison officers occasionally exhibit the same tendencies. Such individuals are commonly called 'Little Hitlers'.
As you said he knew he was being filmed. Truth be known he probably relished in the fact. He was saying to the camera "Watch this, this n........ah will be dead in a few minutes, ain't I a tough ruthless macho man, they don't mess with me".
His actions perpetrated what was to follow.
