This may already have been said in this thread..

When driving in Thailand, vehicles yield to the right at intersections. This means that if you arrive at an intersection simultaneously with another vehicle, the one coming from your right has the right of way.

This is a general rule, unless signs and markings tell you otherwise.

You can, however, and as we all know, not count on other drivers to actually follow this rule.

This is incorrect.....vehicles GIVE WAY to the LEFT at intersections.....that is the correct rule....

Wife is already back in Thailand. If it wasn't for the family I would be back with her.

Truly, Canada is  worse every time I go back.

fentanyl zombies, free handouts, tent parks, needles in the park, the consistent smell of piss and weed.....

Toronto in itself is still fine. It's the surrounding areas that are going down the toilet.

The supermarket next to my mom is losing $45,000 a week due to thefts. I heard it is pretty much the same everywhere.

Every store has a security staff and this must be new because I have never seen this even in 2022 when I visited the last time.

This is how you buy laptops at Walmart, Hahaha....

When was the last time you were back in your "mother" country ?? If recently, what's it like there ?

Phuket is not Thailand, Pattaya is not Thailand, Bangkok is not Thailand. I have never seen such massive delusions on any other forum. You all paint Thailand as the place that is some kind of last oasis left on this planet and nothing can be further from the truth.

BTW, me and Mrs Celsius also left Thailand in style yesterday....

  5. This is exactly why my child wears this https://kidsoclock.com.au/ to school, we have it set up for a 500mtr 'ringfence" at the school.

If at any time the watch moves out of the 500mtr "perimeter ringfence" my wife and I get an immediate alert sent to our phones.

Then we can track the location via google maps with live updates, can also discreetly call the watch and listen to what it's microphone is picking up.

Plenty of features, panic button that instantly calls both our phones, and can use it for normal calls and also video calls.

    Pronounced "gik"

Gik is equivalent to “booty call”, someone you might go out with a little, but it is focused on sex rather than a relationship. Gik is less meaningful than “lover”. Not equivalent to boyfriend/girlfriend. And “mistress” doesn’t work (for those with a female gik) as that requires that one have a girlfriend/wife that one is cheating on. Someone can have a gik and not a regular partner. Also, the Thais use the word partner “fan” most commonly to refer to boyfriend/girlfriend as well as husband/wife (though there are other words for husband wife: samii/panya pua/mia).

Somebody else explained:-  There's no g in Thai, it's an unaspirated k so it sounds like a g but it isn't voiced. Since there is an aspirated version of the k which sounds very similar to an English k, the unaspirated k is often transliterated as a g to avoid confusion but formally it's a k (and the aspirated k is transliterated kh).

Looking at the headline "Thai village bans road rice drying after tragic motorcycle accident"

does that mean it is legal to do this anywhere, except if the village bans it?

I didn't know that villages can make up their own traffic rules village by village.

And do they have signs out of the village if they allow or don't allow this?

You need to get out more....you sound like a noob...lol

This about sums it up HERE

Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Australian Constitution

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are not mentioned in the Constitution.

The Constitution still allows racial discrimination – not just against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples but against anyone.

The only way we can change the Constitution is if a majority of voters in a majority of states vote YES at a referendum.

A referendum is a vote by Australians over the age of 18, just like voting in an election. Instead of voting on politicians as we do in an election, in a referendum we vote on a specific change to the Constitution.

In a 1967 referendum, over 90% of Australian voters agreed to change our Constitution to give the federal parliament the power to make laws in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and to allow for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to be included in the census. But this referendum did not recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as first peoples.

    The Benefits of change

Recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the preamble of the Constitution and ensuring the Constitution does not discriminate against anyone will not give any Australians more rights than others. In fact, these changes will build stronger relationships of trust and mutual respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians.

Similarly, quite a lot of people have assumed that a one-year multiple entry Non O visa allows them to stay in Thailand until the expiry date of the visa. They fail to realise that the visa only facilitates a 90-day permission to stay each time you enter. The visa provides no right to be inside Thailand.

I am on a one-year multiple entry Non O visa, haven't done a 90 days report in over 3 years....never in country longer than 90 days due to work.

Actually....I think from memory I didn't bother reporting when I stayed in country for a year due to Covid.....

Want to go to Lipe and not by train from Pattaya/BKK. Every time I've used my expired Thai DL at banks and AIS/True it's gone unnoticed. You guys think domestic flights the same, or do they really look at the date?

PS: ALL of my current IDs are tied up at the embassy

Happened to me not long ago, I didn't realise car driving license had expired, they wouldn't accept it, so showed them my bike which was still valid.

    Suvarnabhumi airport flying domestic.
