If it weren't for us "southern bible thumping nutjobs" who are the apple of God's eye, NY would already have been destroyed. God's love for HIS PEOPLE is the only thing holding back the wrath of God on the US of A. If you have never received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then you are NOT in the family of God, and your father is Satan.....forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different or has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth.

John 3:36 says "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him".

    Oh my. Wow.

You're really trying to compare Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Game of Thrones to some random Jurassic Park movie? If this was the original jurassic park I would agree, but this rehash movie will do nothing to move the tourism needle. The Beach brought in huge tourists because the movie was almost made for it targeting 20 something backpackers, this jurassic park is targeting mostly children.

And Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter were not for children? And no adults go to watch Jurassic Park? Really??

I think the UK tries to had as much race stats as they can but I have seen maps of which districts voted for him and how non-white they were. Muslims absolutely vote in blocs and aren't they introducing new Islamic parties now? There's even a Muslim Council of Britain!

OMG, a Muslim Council of Britain!!!  Do you know what they do?

There is also a Christian umbrella organisation called Churches Together in England (CTE) - OMG!!

There is also a Jewish umbrella organisation called Board of Deputies of British Jews - OMG!!

There is also a Buddhist umbrella organisation called Network of Buddhist Organisations (NBO) - OMG!!

Interestingly the Jewish group has a political lobbying arm whereas the others don't.

Rubbish. The point is that if there's a Muslim candidate ALL Muslims will vote for that candidate. That is the MO for Muslims, they stick rigidly with their own when it comes to voting.

So Khan has a HUGE head start for every mayoral election. Then you add in the lefties and the die hard Labour voters and he's nailed on to win very time.

You don't get this with any other religious or racial group. Blacks will not ALL vote for the black candidate. Christians will not ALL back the Christian candidate.

Mamdani is going to have the same head start as Khan.

You just made all of that up didn't you. To say that ALL Muslims voted for Khan is complete nonsense. Many of them didn't. Any evidence? Londoners are very cosmopolitan and are not divided along racial or religious lines like you think.  Sure, some of them will have voted for him because he's Muslim, just like some people voted for Farage because they are racist, some people vote Tory because they don't care about anyone else but themself. But not all.

    Quote

As for Khan doing a good job for London, I can only assume that was a tongue-in-cheek comment

    Do you live in London?

My family do. My friends do. They are all supportive of the work he does and they all consistently vote for him because of it.  Race and religion does not come in to it.

    Sure.

But I'm, anti Labour and anti Conservative.

But we all  know what you are.

That's obvious by the profile pic of that grifting little scrote.

I am anti conservative for sure. I have fluctuated on Labour. I would have voted Blair the first time, but not the second or third. DEFINITELY would have voted for them this time but the jury is out on Starmer for me.

See? Not blind faith, I can judge things and people on what they say and do. And I have judged Farage - a grifter, a liar, a hypocrite, a hate monger, and a self serving money grabber. Nothing more, nothing less. It is so easy to catch him out on anything he says.

It is "a major Hollywood film." No tariff played in the US.

Tariff applies on foreign films exported to the US.

Incorrect. His proposed hot air tax was intended for American movies shot or produced in foreign locations.

Everything should be shot in America and made using American locations, feature American food, American actors, American guns, flags and produced by unionised inefficient and expensive crews. USA! USA! USA!

(Yes, I know the unionisation is not as strong in all states, but it is in the states that anyone might want to shoot in)

We all know the figures will be a little inaccurate.

But lets face it. some rich people are leaving.

    But sorry.

I don't see any millionaires coming.  do you ? :coffee1:

    Good day.

    "A little inaccurate"??

Try wholly fabricated and completely inaccurate. 10.900 "news" articles in right wing press last year and the figures don't support it. At all. And all based on a "report" by a company that sells Golden Passports and wants to encourage high wealth people to leave.......so spend a fortune splashing your propaganda through paid media to make people believe it is happening and they should do it to.

0.3% of millionaires left in 2024. And that is fairly consistent with the years from 2013 to 2024 too. And that doesn't include millionaires who have come to Britain.

It is a lie, not "a little inaccurate".

Too dumb to see the propaganda in front of you because it fits your anti-Labour narrative. Did you even read the article?

Sorry, this is wildly misreported nonsense. There has actually been research in to how often "millions fleeing the UK" or similar articles have been published in certain press vs how many millionaires have actually left.

Here's a clue: the answer to the first part is 10,900 news items in 2024 alone. The answer to the second part is hardly any. There is no exodus. There will be no exodus.

Read an impartial report - with evidence in it - and come back to me. Here's one to get you going:

This post is a prime example of "opening mouth and letting belly rumble." I'll spell it out.

Muslims for racist and religious reasons will back the Muslim candidate. It plays into the "world caliphate" mindset.

I'm known for detesting this rhetoric but there comes a point you have to acknowledge what's at play.

None of my family are Muslim. None of their circle of friends are Muslim. But they all voted for Khan.

You are so blinkered that you assume a Muslim win can only be because all the Muslims got together to vote him in. Well there wouldn't be enough of them for a start, and believe it or not many people don't care a jot about his religion, they care only whether or not he is doing a good job for London. And he is. Which is why LONDONERS (of all creeds and colours) kep voting for him. I know that must be hard for you to come to terms with, sorry.

TAT is really clueless. To think a movie that will be made mostly using AI of dinosaurs wil increase tourism simply because it displays some of Thailands landscape is ridiculous. I can see it now, Thousands of UK citizens rushing to buy tickets to Thailand after seeing the movie haha...

Also, I fail to see how the making of a movie increases local employment? Most of the crew for the movie was imported. And any work given to locals would have been temporary. Not a real job.

Why did you look in smallville when he was in Metropolis?

The only clueless person here is you. First of all the dinosaurs are not made with "AI". It is highly skilled CGI.

Second, the majority of the crew were Thai and it was a real boost. You clearly have no idea how the film industry works.

And of course movies like these have a tourism effect. White Lotus had a measured impact on tourism in Sicily, Hawaii and Samui. The Beach had a huge impact on tourism around Krabi and Maya Bay. Ever heard of Harry Potter and all the Harry Potter tours? Game of Thrones increased tourism by 400% in Dubrovnik. Does Lord of the Rings ring any bells? Massive increase in NZ tourism. Even naff movies like Kong: Skull Island had a knock on effect on tourism in places like Ha Long Bay.

    Your ignorance is shocking.

The Chinese will tell them where to build, who is going to build it (The Chinese), how much they are going to borrow (from the Chinese) to build it and supply the trains.

They won't draw the Thais attention to the heavy penalties (not all financial, Hello, Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea....) hidden in the contract for the slightest breach or default.

They sure as hell will try to gloss over the fact that control of the entity will be retained in Chinese hands.

All of this will be facilitated through careful bungs to the right decision makers.

Day by day, Thailand is drawn into China's sphere of influence.

Nice anti-Chinese rant. Do a little research maybe next time.

Thailand's double track expansion has nothing to do with China, doesn't use Chinese loans, doesn't have Chinese influence, so how does China have "control of the entity"?

    Explain your nonsense please.

Who's "they"?  I have rented cars in the UK many times using ,my Thai license (no IDP).  Never had any problem.

    Same.

A few years ago I rented a car, turned up, gave them my UK license which is an old fold out paper one - they had no idea what to do with it so asked if I had any other type of license. I gave them my Thai license and they said that is fine. My friend also rented in the UK about three months ago using his regular Thai license.

I was there last weekend and the food was solid, but what made the evening better was finding a good bar near me right after dinner. If you're into quieter places with decent music and cold beer, there are a couple just around the corner where locals hang out. Nothing fancy, but a good vibe and fair prices.

    Do they have a name?

    Propaganda maybe?

Yes, US visa applicants for certain non-immigrant visas, specifically F, M, and J visas, are required to make their social media accounts public for vetting purposes, according to the US embassy in Thailand. This includes adjusting privacy settings to "public" on all platforms used in the past five years. Additionally, applicants must provide all social media usernames or handles from the past five years.

If you are going to mock the VP (JD Vance with a bald head) on your phone and you are NOT an American, well, don't be surprised if people working under this person reject you.

    It's common sense, people.

America could likely take your laptop, phone, etc, and find everything you ever posted or deleted, etc.....save for some pretty savvy IT people.   However, these "savvy" IT people who know how to scrub information will also likely be banned because they are clearly hiding something.  LOL.  Lose-Lose.   America doesn't need a reason to reject you.  You paid for the flight, and you want to visit.  lol.

This is why I record every conversation with a farang.  One bad word about America, well, the CIA is already listening as well.   Banned for life!!! lol

So they throw you in a cell.   Nice.   What if you are 18 and tell people, I don't have any socials?   I'm not sure how that will work.

Can America access your emails?  Again, if you say NO, you might simply get banned and sent back home.

Soon AI will instantly change all your socials to be more "Pro-American," and then another AI click will send it all back to normal.  Then immigration will catch up....

I do agree 100%.  If you don't like America at all, you have no business going there.   We're paying $100 for eggs and stressed enough as it is.
