Nothing but a cheap copy of the Thomas Hetherwick design for a cross Thames bridge in London. That was shot down by local opposition. This will die through neglect by the authorities and theft & damage by the public. Another fine waste of money that could have been put to much better use.

A positive story about a bit of green space and the first post is full of negativity and bitterness.  Welcome to TVF!!

5 metres square is 5m x 5m - in other words 25sq m per person. To get some idea of that - a football pitch is around 100m x 50m and would allow 200 people maximum. In the Before Times, there would be 5000+. Concerts ? No chance.

Maths is not your strong point.  An area of 5m square is around 2.2m x 2x2m.  It is not 25 sqm.

The rest of your post therefore makes no sense.

Departed Thailand Sunday the 7th June,. Waited at airports immigration as they took my passport off me and asked me to sit in the overstays lounge,, thought a fine was occurring,.instead waited 15min and allowed to leave without fine ! Temp taken several times as expected and social distancing displayed around the airport,. which is understandable in today’s climate,. Thought the flight would be social distancing as that’s what I’ve been use to whilst being in Thailand the last 3.5 months ( paid 21,000 baht economy class ) instead it was like a cattle market without any social distancing as every single seat was full “. Complained and didn’t want to take a seat - stewardess called some fella and said a new memo was issued ! Was told if wanted to upgrade would cost me 400 dollars refused as already paid for return flight ! Didn’t work out and then Rebooked 21,000 flying back to the u.k it’s this type of negligence that increases your chances of catching the virus .... when eating people’s arms touching you and people walking around without masks is clearly wrong. Will be contacting the airline with my concerns ! Screening wasn’t that intensive either Heathrow staff looked short with more police in attendance than customs officials

    1. So the last flight to the UK on June 7th before mandatory 14 days quarantine kicked in on the 8th June and you are surprised it's full.  You are not the only person trying to beat that deadline.
    2.  Everyone in your picture seems to be wearing a mask.
    3. Your mask is barely hanging on to your nose so you are probably posing more of a danger than anyone.
    4.  If you were so scared and didn't want to take a seat why did you?  You were offered a reasonably priced upgrade.
    5.  I am sure the airline will note your concerns accordingly.
    6.  Did you get Covid and die or are you OK?

I never drink Thai beer. Too many additives, too variable in strength and low quality.

How do you measure the strength and its varience?  Do you have some special equipment or is it your spidey sense?  Would love to know how the Thai beer that comes out of international standard factories varies in strength - please tell.

Not a fan of most Thai beer myself but this thing about varying strength is just nonsense.

Yes, they have adjusted the strength of some beers over time but so have Carlsberg, Heineken, Stella and pretty much every major beer.

So how ever many days ago the Bars closed down so the fridges went off, so that nice cold beer sat there, now many days on sitting  in the heat. What do you think will happen, the beer will be thrown away or re chilled and served.

So the question is would you drink it, me its a no.  Even when bars shut of the fridge at night and re start the next day, the beer does taste unsavory.

Bottled beer sits in warehouses and on ships and lorries all around the world - it is not continuously refrigerated, nor does it need to be.  It is generally chilled when someone fills a fridge to sell it cold.

Maybe a couple of grotty bars will try to sell draught beer that has been sitting in the pipes or an open keg, but I sincerely doubt it - it would be rank.  Kegs will have been emptied.

We know the the Thais do not throw anything away..

Yeah coz farang bar owners are known for throwing away stock - those silly Thais and their stored beer!!  Much better to throw your bottles away.

    What a weird post.

Called THAI call center this morning after seeing that you can book flight to Australia starting August, can i use my cancelled ticket money you have been holding for the last 3 months to book new flight same W class ticket? no sir, no W class and you can't use this money to book a new flight you will have to pay a new and wait "few months" for your refund, BUT, she went on to say, even tough THAI website allows you to book and pay i wouldn't if i were you, and that because although you have booked and paid, there still no guarantee that such flight will take place so call us back in couple of weeks time and MAYBE there will be more definitive answers...

To be fair, no one knows if a flight you book today on any airline will be able to go ahead in August and she advised you accordingly not to book it now.  That seems like sensible advice and she asked you to call back in a couple of weeks when there might be clearer information.  What's wrong with that?

so THAI will takes booking and your money and will not and can not guarantee you a flight.. Way to go THAI and no wonder why your business is in the crapper and broke...

Er......did I misread it?  You said you she advised you not to make the booking because they can't guarantee an August flight right now.  So that is the opposite of taking your money, surely?  All airlines will accept online bookings and it is up to the consumer to check.  You did well.

Also not sure if you have heard of Covid-19?  It's a virus that's been going around.  Countries are in lockdown, borders and airports are closed around the world.  But you want someone to guarantee you that the pandemic will not come back for a second wave, will not get worse, and that all countries will happily open up by August for you and all flights will be back to full schedule?  And it is Thai Airways' fault they can't?

She gave you the correct advice, not sure what your problem is.  Did you just need a little rant to kickstart your day?

But now that gov'ts have gotten used to the power that people are allowing them to wield, the narrative seems to have changed.  Now they seem to want endless lock-downs and restrictions because....reasons.

You mean the lockdown that hasn't been especially restrictive compared to most countries and that has been eased in stages over the last eight weeks and will be completely ended by July 1st?  That one right?

So how is it an endless lockdown again?
