  1. clap2.gif I heard from a reliable source, that Tesco Lotus has bought a large parcel of land , by the new huge builders supply on Petchakasem Road, on the way towards Cha Am.

Also we were looking at a house almost in Chao Am, and the people there, said a new Big C is going in the lot in front of their house, not knowing if this is a shopping mall or just a Big C supermarket.

So there you have it, two places rumored to be going in.clap2.gif

  2. Third world solutions for a third world country..

I guess no one considered the long term costs of keeping this cold air balloon aloft..(I know it's helium really)

Maybe they could consider an LPG conversion.. Thai style ??

Blimps what a crock of Bull_hit, proves they are filled with hot air, and 50 million to be pocketed, by the select few.

What the frigging hell do they need blimps for, to take snipper shots at the Reds again

  3. Smedly:

'you guys are confusing manners with censorship, we all have opinions about pretty much everything, many times I have told religeous people that it is all a complete pile of sh-te - my opinion but up to them what they want to believe, if you want to call someone an ugly barsteward to their face well up to you but it's plain bad manners and may have consiquences - nothing to do with censorship'

Sorry I had to do it this way because I received the insidious: 'You have posted more than the allowed number of quoted blocks of text'

Yes it is to do with censorship. Self-censorship. And it is just cowardly to insult people in a way that they cannot respond: i.e on the internet (Youtube). By the way, I agree that religion is sh-te & I will argue my case among friends & acquaintenances, but I will not set out to inflame others because of my views.

You forgot to mention they only allow you to like so many things in a day.coffee1.gif

I have no problem with religions. It is the people who supposedly follow them that I have problems with.sad.png

Yes it's the crazed, radical, insane, that I have a hard time with

  4. i have always found that turning up during the lunch hour, say about 12.45, and waiting for the doors to open at 1, will normally allow you to get dealt with quickly

can you tell me please mate..... i am due my first reporting for my marriage visa soon....... is the period to report to the office within 7 days of the date of next notification, and not after, or does it have to be the exact same date??

If you slide a few hundred baht under the table, you can almost be assured to get into the front of the line, there are several people there who are famous for taking all sorts of bribes

  5. Yes I noticed too, long time ago.

    Sounds weird.

Even more weird than some of the local ladies with deep voices.

Even some of the supposed ladies have deep voices, well we really all know those type of ladies, don't we, they have guavas (kais) also, the renowned Lady-boys of Thailand

  6. The Yingluck years will be fondly remembered as "The Golden Age of Corruption" by those who benefited from it.

There will of course be a rude awakening - but only for the stupid and the honest.

    edit: typo

Oh come on man, you think only todays present government is only corrupt, my god man "all of Thailand is corrupt, from the sreet vendor to the highest offfice holder", get real, "THAILAND IS A TOTAL CORRUPT COUNTRY

  7. I don't need much except hot and cold running water (shower), electricity, a way to do basic cooking, high speed internet and a scooter. I have no interest in a big city or the sex trade. I'm not much of a drinker. I don't need to party or hang out in bars.

If all above is you: Wherever you want, in Thailand.

Ok, the Internet is limiting it a bit, but 1500US$/~45.000 Baht gives you everything you need, under the posted guideline.

I know people, earning only 30-35.000, but living a 'hang out in bars' life in Phuket. Probably the/one place with the highest living costs, in Thailand.

As far as I know, the infamous "Bangkok Hilton" is about the cheapest place to stay long term

  8. Huuuummmm? sounds pretty fishy to me, but if all it takes is a hand written note, and to stab himself in the chest??????? and the police believe this, then it must be (Duuuuh). Wait a minute here, you mean it is not at all possible where she stabs, or someone stabs him in his sleep, on the bed, and then places the knife into his hand, then scribbles out a note of confession to suicide, or some sort of scenario like this?????

Wow then these cops are really lame.whistling.gif
