  1. i took a closer look at the BYD Seal at the motor show (march 2023). i really like its exterior, but i find the interior design to be overloaded ... it's a pity that the Seal is still not available in thailand and we do not have any information about the pricing yet ...
  2. a fortuner is a large, heavy car, but personally, I wouldn't consider it as a really safe vehicle ...
  3. the west-oriented solar panel will produce less electricity during midday compared to the south-oriented panels. depending on your system, this difference in production can negatively affect the overall energy output. I have only limited knowledge on this topic, and there are other forum members who can provide a more detailed explanation. to better understand the issue of varying (panel) energy production, you can watch a video about shading and its impact on solar panels: https://youtu.be/9GvhDhCSJgo
  4. only a small fraction of people are installing solar panels solely because of having an electric car. the primary motivation for going solar is to reduce the house-electrical bill. moreover, most solar systems generate surplus energy, which can be harnessed to charge an electric car. this surplus energy can essentially be considered as free electricity, providing an additional incentive for adopting solar power ...

  8. completely incorrect! in the northern region, there is an annual burning season accompanied by severe air pollution. before making baseless statements, please refer to the data from the past decade. it always astonishes me to see foreigners living in the north who are unaware of the significant issue of air pollution! https://www.thaipbsworld.com/thailands-causes-of-air-pollutions-slow-violence-and-its-possibilities-for-the-clean-air/
  9. what type and capacity of battery do you have? be aware that you could need to replace the inverter, part of the battery, or some panels within 10 years ...
  10. Can you imagine how long the lines would be at charge stations? if you are unable to charge at home, it is advisable not to purchase an electric vehicle (EV). in general, EV car owners living in bangkok may not need to rely on charging stations within the city. typically, you will only need to charge your car at a charging station during long road trips. eg. in my case, a couple of times a year for extended journeys. therefore, i am using a charging station only a few times throughout the year. if you frequently go for long road trips and prefer not to take a 30-minute break after every two hours of driving, there is a simple solution: do not buy an EV car.
