  1. Thursday's game in Brisbane and Saturday's game on the Gold Coast have been postponed due to the expected arrival of a cyclone.
  2. First game of the season is this Thursday the 6th. Could be postponed due to the expected cyclone into Brisbane
  3. Great pre-season game today, including seeing some of the talented indigenous stars performing
  4. I hope ABC Australia through True Cable (and only True Cable) will be showing at least 6 games per week, as in the past
  5. Many years ago, I suffered with debilitating bouts of PTSD. Many medicine cocktails had little to no effect. After some time, my treating psychiatrist suggested I try meditation. Changed my life!!! I understand many Buddhist Temples, in the larger touristy areas, offer meditation training in English. Worth a try.
  6. From my own experience, I think Sheryl is providing excellent advice
  7. Late Wednesday reported the matter to DVA. V/early this morning got a reply from them saving there was a problem with some international payments, and a 2nd instalment would be paid asap. About 11.00 today (Thursday) I received the 2nd instalment. Problem solved
  8. I have been receiving my DVA pension paid directly into my Bangkok Bank account for quite some time now. Today (11/12) I got paid at half my normal pension rate. Has anyone else had such troubles????
  9. An ad by Chiang Mai Medical Centre regularly appears on the Chiang Mai Expats Club Newsletter. They may provide the service and price the OP is seeking. I myself have never used them
  10. Didn't Mao Tse-tung, the first leader of CCP, swim in a swollen river? This visitor to CNX was just following their leader.
  11. Thanks to one and all for the replies to my post. To answer some of the questions: * I take my Ramipril the last thing at night before I retire * Haven't smoked for around 25 years * I'm only a very modest drinker & then only on the occasion when enjoying a dinner with friends * I exercise most days - 60 laps non-stop in my lap pool * All readings are taken before eating * Perhaps one other important factor might be is that I celebrated my 80th this year 🙂.
  12. Tks for your post chiang mai. I follow the UK NHS recommendation re testing for BP They say when you wake up, go for a pee the sit and relax for 5 minutes before testing. The other 3 daily tests I do are before eating, but again I sit and relax for 5 minutes.
  13. Today ABC Australia issued its TV guide for the coming week, and the AFL finals are being shown. On Thursday the 5th Port v Cats at 4.20pm and on Friday the 6th watch Port v Hawks, again at 4.20pm Thai Time , YOU BEAUTY. The 2 games being played on Saturday are not yet in their TV Guide - but will be next Friday
  14. For the last 5 years, or so, my BP has been relatively stable, but recently it has gone crazy, with fluctuating readings. When I recently became aware of these fluctuations I commenced taking a reading 4 times a day. These readings now can range from 119/73 to 150/70, with a similar difference, each time, between L & R. I do take Ramipril 2.5mg/day (which I have been doing for the last 5 years or so, where my BP has normally been in the normal range). I do NOT have any adverse symptoms, like headaches, blurred vision, dizziness etc, and today I went and had blood tests for Lipid Profile, Glucose and Sodium, all within normal range (except down a bit for Triglycerides). I do have an appointment to see a Cardiologist this coming Monday, but would appreciate any reports from members that have had similar problems (so I can better understand what the Dr is asking/telling me). TIA
  15. Petrus, I hope your heading is not true, there's some exciting games to come
  16. Just like John49 posted, I have tried many many treatments over the years. Some retarded but none never cured, that is until a pharmacists recommended Clopirox solution, applied the same way John49 describes. After several months of applying Clopirox I am seeing an improvement, my 2 big toes are now looking somewhat normal, but its a long slow process
  17. I agree with you 100% At any cafe / coffee shop when one orders tea they make it with boiling water, as it should be. And as Kiwi said coffee they serve here is never hot enough. So now whenever I order a coffee, I ask for it to be "ron mark mark", and it usually is 🙂
  18. For info - received an advertising flyer today from Bumrungrad, they are offering 10% off their ReZum procedure until the 31st May 2024
  19. 2 years ago, I had radiation treatment at Bumrungrad (Dr Apichart). Wonderful Dr / hospital. Expensive, in my case paid by DVA. I feel terrific.
  20. When we sold our home some 3 years ago, the purchaser arranged for a building inspection. The inspectors were, in my opinion, very professional. As a result, I obtained their mobile number for future use if required. Their number is 080 843 4998. Good luck
  21. Today I received a flyer from Bumrungrad on their new Water Vapour Therapy for BPH. Could be interesting for some Water Vapor Therapy: A simple, fast and safe new form of treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) (bumrungrad.com)
  22. Last week, on behalf of my partner, I registered our property, no problems. I then submitted my details, no problems. My brother has now come to stay for a couple of weeks, or so, and therefore required to submit his details. Problems. Over the weekend I received an update from Microsoft, now I cannot get past the Captcha. Anyone else have this problem?
  23. Today I was told it was going to be a wholesale food outlet, similar to Mackro, operated by Central
  24. There is a place just like you describe on the Super Highway, heading out of town, a door or 2 past the under-construction US Embassy (in CNX)
