Depends what you mean by hook up ?  Guys that marry bargirls tend to think every Thai girl is for sale.

No reason you cant ask for directions, where can you buy phone credit etc, introduce yourself to the next table at a coffee shop, can you ask a couple of questions about Thailand etc.

Keep in mind, your average Thai girl thats not in the entertainment industry or trying to sell you something will be very conservative, shy, has probably never spoken to westerners or had a boyfriend.

You didn't mention anything about a likely language barrier.

They don't seem to be requiring ankle+  length kind of pants.    It looks like they're asking for short pants above the knee to be avoided.

Certainly, having the weight of that industry behind the drive to enforce the law on ST rentals would be a massive boon.

However, I am not so pessimistic in my outlook.  I think that if we can assemble a core group of Co-owners in the building that are willing to act against this then the attitude of the committee may change.  In addition, there is always the possibility that if enough reports are made to the authorities about a single place then finally they will respond to the issue.  At the end of the day, there is also the possibility of bringing a  civil suit against at least some of the people involved.

I can but try.  I understand it's a mountain to climb.

I applaud you for fighting for your rights.

Yeah, what I meant was someone who can remove the display, analyse the problem and fix it without the “ risk “ of it failing again 2 days later or the discovery that some other aspect of the iPad does now not work.

Apparently removing the screen is a fairly serious matter on an iPad.   I  had an iPad2  (not air) that  had an issue with removing the sim card.   I was in Singapore at the time and paid around  85 sng to get it repaired.   I now understand it is a less than simple process.

Talk about boring suburbia. I want to go back, settle there, find a companion to accompany me beyond my 69 years.

Good luck to you.     I hope you find an outstanding Thai village  gentleman who will  hopefully be the companion you seek.

In the condo building where I live the Rules and Regulations are very specific.

    Excessive noise is strictly banned.

It also states that the problem ideally is solved by the co -owners in question.

Failing that the Juristic Manager has to fix it.

All co -owners  accept that New Years Eve will be noisy -nobody complains.

Maybe your building has similar rules.

This can be both a positive and negative thing.     In my home country those "Rules and Regulations" are called  "Conditions, Covenants and Restrictions" or commonly  known as C C & R's

While I don't blanketly support the power of Home Owners' power given by the CC&R's  if   an owner is causing trouble for all other owners of a property the HOA can be very  helpful in resolving the matter.  The problem owner will simply be fined  by the HOA and until the fine is paid, the owner absolutely cannot sell the property because the owner is fined according to the rules of the association.    This is all handled by the government as a fine levied against the property and it must be satisfied before the property can be sold.

Considering the amount of rainfall in Thailand, I'm surprised i didn't look into this earlier.

I did use  a no rain product in the USA and found it to work very well.  Applying  it was   a little tricky as the bottle warned it could damage paint if mistakenly applied to it.

Has anyone tried this product  which is available on Lazada?

Issan folk will eat anything and everything that will not kill them. Well at least in my neck of the woods and generally with their mouth open.

Thanks, that definitely needs qualifying.   Fact is Issan folk can be as varied as the world's general population.

This claim "Issan folk will eat anything and everything that will not kill them" brought a big laugh from the Mrs. with the statement that that must be a silly man to say  such a thing.

I'd think you two would both know arms dealers will happily sell to  any country that can   make the payment.     The only thing that could disrupt that would be sanctions by some government.
