My latest package from the US was held up in Customs at the airport. Normally I have to pick up packages, and pay import duties at the Pra Sing post office, but for some reason, this one didn't get that far. I had to take my tracking number to the Airport (it's in the building just after the main Arrivals/Departures building, first floor with 'Customs' on the door) show my passport (which they charged 4 baht to copy) and sign some forms. It took about 20 minutes, in and out.

You just gave me a great idea.

I'm going to print and staple two copies of my passport pages in my passport just to avoid any future delays in a Thai office   (banks, airports, hotels, Border crossings, immigration, utility companies,  and  {what did I leave out?}.   ?

    Thanks..

Its always the same, someone comments without digesting the information accurately.. Bicycle...

That said - 8 years old is too young to be traveling alone to school... BUT, what other transport alternatives did the parents have?

If they were both at work in a factory making ends meet its difficult to be judgmental. But a parent simply packed their child off from their house at that age instead of taking them to school themselves then the parents are complicit in the tragic loss of their child.

I agree with your comment about the (IQ)  and reading level of some posters on TVF.        The forum rules state it's an English  language forum.   If a person is  challenged  to read and post in English, rather than make such mistakes as this poster did, I suggest they  find a forum in their native tongue

This boy was riding a push bicycle from all appearances.

And  depending on the location, I don't find an issue with a younger person going off to school by him  or herself.

Try taking a photo of a ladyboy in a tourist area and see how you get on. I was threatened with a baseball bat on Walking St for that

Without your feeling the need to reply aggressively.   Please reread my post which was in fact a question with an example.    I really   wish to avoid  replies such as yours.

    Thank you.

Amazing you can come up with this BS gem.

How does the vendor have a "legal"  right like that in public?    Can you reference any laws?

That quote has completely turned my post around

They don't need immigration to increase taxes as the manufacturing industry (& others ) are a dying breed

There aren't enough jobs for Citizens ( let alone Residents & ect are able to fill prior to Citiz )

Unemployment averaging 5% with the Gov wandering why

    I turned nothing "around".

I simply asked a question which has bothered a few posters it seems.

Lays has plants in Thailand and most of the potatoes they use are grown here (as of 2014).

Lays has been owned by Pepsico since the 1960s, as far as I know. Anyone from the UK will know them better as Walkers. Also sold as Smiths in AUS, and various other much stranger names around the world.

Their tomato flavour was withdrawn as a service to humanity in general.

In another 5 decades all products  worldwide will be made by one of only 3 or 4 existing giant companies.

Amazon and Apple/Google will have fallen by the wayside.

Gone same as  MySpace.com and so many others.

I would have thought not taking a photo of someone or something when you are asked not too would be common courtesy.

Did you happen to notice I said the vendor was selling goods on a public street?

    You missed that?

    Please stay focused..

    OK.

Next time you take a photo in a public place be sure to request permission of everyone in the photo before you the picture.   Thank you
