And a good doctor is going to ask for a list of your current medications and be sure not to prescribe medications that interact with them poorly.

My reply stands and your reply begs the question as to what is a "good Doctor"?

Nothing personal here so please don't let it devolve to that.

The OP can choose do do what he wants with any medication issued to him.

"What I am concerned about is that if I visit a doctor, he or she will prescribe a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug which could have an adverse effect on my current medication.  Perhaps it would be sensible for a review of my BP medications."

You aren't compelled to take what your doctor prescribes.

What is the pool for, swimming, decorative, fish ? If its for swimming you may need filtration, other chemicals etc, more than just adding chlorine. If its decorative, maybe plants and fish etc to keep it clean and balanced.

Do you want clean to look at or clean to swim in.

30 cm doesn't allow for much swimming .

I live in an apartment block. I deal with management not a landlord directly.

I know what their doing is 100% illegal as I've read the law.

My real question is what do I do about it? What recourse do I have? If I don't pay it they'll just put up a fight and withhold my deposit (also illegally)

To  answer your question directly, it's so early in the game that I'd just walk away and not fight the grief you're likely to face for the time you rent at this location.    Hopefully you haven't fully unpacked yet.

I'm OK for a fight but this one I think would be torturous in the long run.

Good luck but  I'd definitely hightail it.

Yes,you should try and negotiate, nothing to lose, everything to gain,

most of the major car brands have several showrooms ,so if you

cannot get what you want from one' try another dealer.

    If you don't ask,you won't get,thats for sure.

    regards Worgeordie

From my experience, the dealer has a printed out price list and the only "wiggle room" for the customer is what many posters refer to as "freebies" which are in no way free.

The price is generally set  but as worgeordie suggests you can always ask for a negotiated price.

Probably less disruptive if he finishes out his 4 year term at least I've felt that but sometimes I wonder if that really is in the best interest of anyone other than President Trump and his family.

Huffington had this short article about Trump scoopers.

I'd suggest its only for those not enamored with the current POTUS

Back in 2013 me and the Mrs arrived at Swampy from New Zealand.   We had two Litres between us and they had been sealed in one bag, so Customs tried to take them off us and fine us because they said they should be in a separate bag for each person.   It didn't work out well for them because i stood my ground and demanded to see the most Senior Officer on duty and said i was not moving until he attended because i know that what they were trying to do was a scam.   I might add this was with the added difficulty of my wife being typically Thai and trying to get us out of there without the booze and the fine !    After a few minutes they realised i wasn't going to budge and they said 'just this once we will let you go through with it'.

The next day i wrote a letter of serious complaint and had the wife translate it to Thai before sending it to the Chief Customs Officer at Swampy.  Still waiting for a reply five years later !

    Good for you trainman.

I'd kind of wonder what your wife really translated.   Keeping up what you describe as the Thai way of interacting, she may have written that she had a wonderful time at the airport and found the officials friendly and helpful. ?

Sure they do, selectively. When a falang is driving without a helmet or has stopped his motorbike one meter too far beyond the barely visible white road marking in the traffic lights, the Pattaya traffic police do excellent job.

    Never seen that.

The ticketing for one meter over I mean.

How was my reply aggressive? I was not threatening anyone with a bat. I was just pointing out what happens in real life in LOS.

Your attitude Sir.   It speaks volumes.

If you don't get it than so be it.

How silly to refer to threats.    Of course you can't make threats  and be a member of this site.

    Chill out please.

Yep, this is true. The other point is the child was apparently dragged for 30 meters. Under average stopping conditions (no accident, that is) the pickup would have been going around 60 km/h but the increased resistance caused by the child & bike suggests the pickup was going considerably faster, 70-80 km/h perhaps?

    My condolences to the family.

I don't see how Thailand can easily correct the sidewalk issue.

The roads were largely built before the  increased use of  passenger vehicles.    Widening roads to allow for sidewalks seems a little late in the game to me.

Same goes for the thousands of narrow streets in town after town.

If that was the case, then sure they should be punished.

Guess there are more stories and articles going around as this one only mentions the whale shark "ending up in their net" (which makes it sound like an accident) and they had to get it aboard first to be able to release it from the nets.

I seriously hate Thai reporting as they are never able to give the complete story.

All they do is retell what one source told them without asking a second source, without asking an expert, withough giving any insights.

But where lies the truth in reporting?

    Interesting to say the least.

Does it say about them buying their own guns and bullets?

    Uniform etc.

My wife's friend is a plod in Pattaya and said he started on 14,000 a month.

    Did the above.

They gave him the bike license and pistol license.

No training in road law, safety, or human psychology. (ok, stop laughing).

And the uplines  say when he has to go and reap the quota towards month end.. Ka ching...

But OK to do. Because the Thai people think that they are doing a good job, and poor salaries.

So can ask for donations to help.

And I thought that when a Thai man didn't want to work, he just became a monk.

    Silly me..

It is quite plausible that the big boys pay for the positions,  but he would not say anything about it. Haha

KInd of all over the board,  yes?
