^ was there an easier way into it other than that death defying bridge?
Sure Its a tourist attraction now , even kinda shop inside at the bottom selling water etc, they have now spent money on fixing the steps and added lighting all the up to the roof, pay the guy 100B and off you go^^

The Sathorn Unique skyscraper is among the major construction projects started when Thailand’s economy was booming in the 1990s. Developers envisaged a city of gleaming offices and residential skyscrapers that were to be a testament to the nation’s rapid development.
Then Thailand sank into a swamp of reckless investments and unpaid debts that became known as the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. The country’s economy contracted 10% in 1998 and many of the building projects came to a crashing halt, including this 49-story tower. Many towers have finally come to completion and construction is continuing, however many broke developers are still unable or unwilling to take action.
The Sathorn Unique has an eerie feel, with exposed infrastructure giving it a post-apocalyptic look. According to one blogger, abandoned rooms were filled with curious objects, from mannequins to a picture of the King. Locals say that the building is haunted. -
Dry boxes are a must to protect you glass, though I never buy expensive cabinets or boxes. I just go to the supermarket buy some super lock boxes add your silica gels packs^^

Taksin Boat Trails by mrhitchens, on Flickr
I agree with Shaggy ... awesome MrH!
How did you manage to make a 225s exposure? Were you using ND filters? How did you decide on the length of exposure?
The process the really simple mate, only thing needed is body, lens and tripod.
These are the steps I used to create the image, its a two part process thats all
Base Image
1. Shoot the base image as normal, as I remember f22,25s,ISO100
Boat Trails
1. For the boat trails it was just a case of choosing a point in the distance where I was happy for them to end.
Using bulb mode I opened the shutter as the boats came into frame and closed when it reached the end point. I took 6 exposures to get enough trails.
Post-processing
1. Imported all the images into Photoshop as layers
2. Selected all the boat trail images and changed the blend mode to lighten, which merged all the boat trails into one image.
3. Merged the base image with the boat trails image by Creating a layer mask to blend both images.

Thanks mate only managed to get down there for an hour as I was shooting something else, the rain was to much of an opportunity to miss so got down there as fast as I could, hoping for better tomorrow going to hit it in the evening with some good light^^Wow!!! It would be mice to see some of that rain here on Samui ! ..... Great shots Mr K . ^
Our day should be tomorrow afternoon / evening .... here on Samui .... unless it the other recent event, puts a stop to it...
Hope to get a few images, if it does!
What are you using for camera water protection? I hope I can get out to try my EM-1 as it is water resistant. But, nice shots.
I just use a black bag from the 7/11 that's about as much as you need if your body and glass are weather sealed^^

Looks like it's pouring down in Bangkok
Absolutely, seems the people are happy to throw water on each other, but not happy to get wet by the rain
