You will have to register your foreign marriage to get a Kor Ror 22 a a Amphoe that immigration requires when applying for an extension of stay based upon marriage.

You apply for a 60 day extension to visit you wife without the Kor Ror 22.

Thank you very much UbonJoe???????? "You apply for a 60 day extension to visit you wife without the Kor Ror 22" this made me feel a lot better!

  2. Hi, I got marry in US and have US marriage certificate.  I showed my US certificate to Thai consulate in Los angeles when I got my Non-o visa.  Now to get extension in Thailand they asked me for Kor ro 2, what is the step to get register to thai system or to get Kor ro 2 or 22 or certificate for immigration to extend my visa?

    Thank you ????

You only need your original marriage certificate in Thai and copies of it.

For a one year extension of stay you will need a printout of your Kor Ror marriage registry that can be requested at any Amphoe.

For a 60 day extension you will not need a the Kor Ror 2 other than at a few odd offices.

For the 60 day extension the marriage certificate and a copy, copies of your wife house book registry and ID card.

For the one year extension you will need 400k baht in a Thai bank for 2 months on the day you apply or proof of 40 baht income.

Hi ubonjoe,  I have non o visa 1 year multi which will expire on 22 April. which I can normally do visa run at the boarder to get 3 months permit.  Now the boarder closed, I can not do that so need to go to immigration to get extend for 60 days.  I saw some people do the online 90 days report with immigration, I wonder if this is the same visa as mine?  Can I do online to get 90 days permit with my current non o visa?  Thank you in advance.

  5. Try going with the Andaman club just out of town. Very smooth and efficient service. Cross and come straight back on the same boat no problem.

I also recommend the Andaman club. However I have never managed to get back with the same boat. It doesn't matter much as there are boats every 30-60 minutes anyway.

Hi, is n't that you still need to get Myanmar visa?  and it's eVisa is $50.0?

  6. Thank you both of you very much for very quick respond.  I logically thought that for 1 year visa,  it should be 1 year from June 20,2016 to June 19, 017.  But after looking at the fine print what was visa written, it said " enter before 19 June 2017! That was shocking me!  Since I've planed all the flight, hotel and what to do on the 19!   You know how they have their way of rephrasing thing and we caught in the middle.

    thank you very much.

  7. Hi, I have an urgence question about my one year O multi visa; I just notice that the visa written "visa issue date 20 June 2016" and "enter before 19 June 2017" Is that mean my last day to use visa to get my 3 months last stamp entry is the 18 June ? Or the 19 June?

I will appreciate very much for the answer, thank you.
  8. Hi Ubonjoe,  sorry for out of topic here, you wrote " It is possible to get almost 2 years of total stay from the visa by doing an entry just before the visa expires."  How you can have almost 2 year.  If my Non-o visa is multiple entry 1 year.  after each entry of 3 months each till almost the end of visa validity(expires).  I used the last 3 months at the end of visa validity. so it will give me 15 months in total.  How can I make it to be almost 2 year?   Can you please clarify and thank you in advance.

  9. Hi,

1.I like to ask how US expats do to be exempt from Jury duty since they no longer physically live in us but still get call for jury duty?

    2. They asked me to a copy of my id in Thailand but Thailand never issued any id to foreigners with non-o visa but only stamp for 3 months on passport!  How to get the id?

    thank you
