No offense intended, but is English your first language?

Well yeah it is,  l still speak with English London cockney accent was only having a joke but Thai is as most know a tonal language and l'm pretty much tone deaf.

I manage speak enough Thai to get what l need, the only time l have any meaningful conversation with a Thai person is in English.

I commend anyone who has the ability to learn Thai.

Did we decide if any bikes were actually made in Thailand ?

That is the question and looking into past and present only found that some parts are manufactured ( made ) ( produced )  what ever you want to call it but assembled seems to be what happens.

But even Wiki is not clear they write produced and selling motorcycles in Thailand etc etc.

A.P. Honda,  Kawasaki,  Lifan,  Stallions,  Suzuki,  Yamaha,  Zongshen-Ryuka.

Versys. It seems that its the top bike here for touring the country.

Whereas the ER6N isn't that well liked although there are a lot of them about, maybe its just the poor cousin.

Compared to other capable tourer's at the time of release,  the Versys were a cheap package at 285 k and a higher spec.

The Er6n was available in Thailand a good few years before l believe and could still make a good tour bike.

If 60 yrs old a very different but still complex problem to resolve

True in some respect,  at 57 retiring Thailand it took me a while to settle but mainly coming from UK acclimatize,  staying to reached 86 in UK l would only holiday if l could as said.

I think l said before l didn't health insure myself apart accident in Thailand until l was 68 it wasn't complex or a problem.

l agree entirely as said at 86 keep the home in England, keep all the Uk benefits.

  5. I said before l passed my test in UK on my mates Bantam it involved start the bike look behind and ride off around an open area of roads forming a block,  the examiner stopped me saying ride around again the opposite way and prepare for your emergency stop,  coming back l couldn't see him until he jumped out behind a tree, l thought that a was be silly but passed test after 3 highway code road safety questions.

This following was from a writer at MCN who made him go for a new motorcycle test which is much tougher, a good laugh.

  6. There many bikes available in Thailand it's not what's best for Thailand ( sealing lips ) it's what's best for you in Thailand IMHO.

Depends on what you want to do and how much you want to pay.

For me personally it's a scoot for knocking about and a Versys for trips more 15 kilos.

  7. l guess they do it cause they can for me rich boy toys and extreme customized stuff is not my thing really,

A specialized sport car company Sbarro Switzerland based,  built a one off car ref from Z1300 sites where two Z1300 engines and own gearboxes were mounted and connected only by belt,  each engine drove its own rear wheel.

I think I have got the hang of it, leave it on the side-stand, just past TDC and use all my weight to get it going.........not..... she kicks back, and I go over the handlebars in a crumpled mess.

Your not alone happened to me once leaving my girlfriends house with family looking on kick-starting my Panther 600.
