  1. Good on you Harold, I'm sure you've given new hope to a lot of 'somewhat older' gentlemen contemplating retirement in this amazing country.

I hope you enjoy it while it lasts. thumbsup.gif

Yeah,,,this is a very inspiring achievement story indeed !!

maybe this handzum Harold is watching her hot saucy cheeky movies while enjoy spending his honeymoon with her!

this story possibly to encourage many frozen retired daddies in the west to come here and look around for a possible opportunity!

  2. The s7 has fast charging.. can get back to 60% in half an hour.. iphone does not even come close.. also the camera quality is better, plus you can add as much storage as you want for a far lower price as the Iphone.

rich boys and their toys, AIS combo is all you need. Asus or Lenova worth a look.

Actually we were using AIS stuff, Lava and another elder brand too,

after a while started to be very very slow in charging, then not accepting charge at all, we thrown the elder one, and got another one that currently used, the same story of battery run out so quick and so slow to charge again, changed the battery, but still unhelpful, besides getting very hot and crashing often, it's so annoying and waste lot of working time,

based on the previous experiences, I won't consider any of AIS devices, red cross on it.

As mentioned earlier, these newly emerged brands: Oppo, Vivo, or Asus, Lenovo will be considered,

  3. Thanks for all the comments and replies guys,

actually, I am using iPhone 5s for my own use, the quality of photographing is not that much satisfying,

I need to buy the device for someone else to use for work,

recently we checked at Panthip plaza and found many considerable brands to look at for what is needed, such as: Asus zenfone, oppo, Vivo, Huawei, some versions they look like satisfying, but still did not decide yet, because written specs not truly convincing nowadays unless a real experience in hand takes place, and that's why I wanted to ask if anyone used before such devices before,

As said earlier, camera, battery life time, and working smoothly with less crashing, these 3 features are so important because the device will be used mainly for taking photos, editing and then upload the images to social networks as other online platforms,

For iPhone, currently i am using 5s, and been using it since older versions, but I won't consider it for this purchase, as there are many competitive and higher specs brands at half or less than half price, as my own one becoming so slow and time to time stuck then needs to be restarted, even I never jail brake and always iOS updated, won't be my choice any more, as there are many newly emerged brands with higher specs and lower price!

Thank you very much for all the comments guys,

wishing you all a peaceful weekend !

  4. Looking to buy a smartphone mainly to be used for taking photos, edit them and upload to online social networks,

    The most needed features are:

    1) Good quality of photographing, to produce clear photos of products,

    2) Fast - high CPU processing

    3) Longer battery life time,

    4) stable working and less crashes

I checked in market, there are some brands such: Oppo, Vivo, Huwei, etc,,

with camera capacity of 13 mgpx and front (selfie) of 8 mgpx. 3500 mAh battery, as I heard about Xiomi the chinese brand a such capable of 5000 mAh, it's getting a bit critical to make a decision, written specs are not always as expected, practical experience is most trusted matter, so if any one used a such good quality device as per the needed features mentioned in above, will be highly appreciate to share your comment and advise, and many thanks in advance.

    Kind regards,

  5. Upon what basis would he be applying? Does he want a single or multiple entry visa?

Answers to the those questions would allow me to tell whether the embassy in Vientiane or the consulate in Savannakhet would be the best place to go.

Both a across the Mekong river from here so not far for either one.

He wants to apply for single "O" visa,

as well for spending few days in the city,

he never been to there before, so any recommendation, some idea about hotel prices or recommended places to stay, to visit, to eat will be highly appreciated, many thanks in advance

"O" visas are issued for very specific reasons !

What is your friends reason for applying for the visa and is he sure he qualify's for the visa.?

We know, this type of visa for someone married with a Thai lady ,,

he is a father of 3 Thai born kids,,

  8. my advice to get your body detoxed, every morning drink around 1 liter of warm water, add to the warm water a half lemon (if available, but water is the essential, after drink the water, hold yourself for at least an hour from any intakes,

also in case you are a smoker and addict to coffee/smoke have to hold yourself, this is to give enough time to your body to work out and the water be absorbed and the job done,, very simple and easy, do this as a daily habit, and your body will be hydrated and detoxed at no any cost, remind to keep drinking water (even not warm) just the room temperature is fine, more is better, add lemon excellent for detox and help to burn belly fats,

    All the best,

  9. "A taxpayer identification number is issued by the Revenue Department and comprises 10 digits."

Details at the Revenue Department website - http://www.rd.go.th/publish/21987.0.html

Thanks for this link Tywais, read this article:

    (3) An individual who became a VAT or SBT registrant before 1 October 2003A foreigner who is present in Thailand for one period not exceeding 14 days and in total not exceeding in the aggregate 90 days within a tax year does not need to apply for TIN.

seems (as I guess) he doesn't need to apply for this so-called tax ID number, as long as he will do just 2 days jobs,

    isn't it?

  10. In 1998 I got mine at my District Office in Bangkok. (I mean municipal District Office, not Revenue Dept, district office), though it would surprise me if they were not also available at the latter. No guarantee of English speaking staff at these places; if you don't speak much Thai, go with someone who does.

the colleague who asked me about this tax ID matter is married with Thai lady, is not a problem about Thai speaking,

just need to give him some idea where to get it?what papers he needs to prepare, etc,,

    Thanks.

  11. Hello guys

My colleague got an offer to do some part time jobs during the next month just for a couple of days with a Govt agency,

the payment amount will be paid to him upon the completion of his duty jobs,

they asked him to bring the following items:

    (1) A copy of your ID (passport),

    (2) your 13-digits taxpayer identification number.

3% of the payment with be withhold for tax.

He was asking me about tax ID, how to obtain it? where to go?

what are the documents to be prepared to obtain this tax ID? what are the benefits of this later on?

Any sharing ideas, experiences in this matter will be highly appreciated,
