  1. Bitter is when you then concoct a Russian hoax and do everything you can to undermine a legit prez, at great cost to the taxpayers. Fail.
  2. There was a link, but now the post has been removed. Rather, satire be lost on you. Sorry, you can demonstrate your reading skills next time. 🙂
  3. Has continued into a politically-motivated trial, yes. Happens when the victim can't be intimidated into silence or capitulation. Yup, that's some of what the Biden admin, cronies, and thugs are continuing to try to do, and more, with additional subtleties to add in. And no, I'm not going to get into one your bickering loops, as you'll end in silence only to try a different one. It's a religion. 🙂
  4. But it's not from the National Enquirer. Since you didn't click on the link and read the article, you don't know who it's from. So just the usual mindless knee-jerk. 🤣
  5. Sad. That's not at all how it works with political persecution. "Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime," Lavrentiy Beria famously said. What wasn't a crime, becomes a crime (with law enacted retroactively if necessary) or is simply alleged to be possibly a crime that'll have to be defended at ruinous cost, possibly (even probably) before biased jurors. Ruination of a career may be threatened: Jay Bratt, the special counsel’s lead prosecutor, allegedly threatened Trump staff member Walt Nauta’s attorney, Stanley Woodward, with sabotaging his judicial nomination to the Superior Court of the District of Columbia if he could not get Nauta to turn on Trump, according to a newly unsealed motion originally filed in June 2023. --https://thefederalist.com/2024/04/24/here-are-the-3-most-shocking-discoveries-just-unsealed-in-trump-classified-docs-case/ Indictments, to which our more feminine members cling religiously, don't mean a lot, as a good prosecutor can get a ham sandwich indicted. No defense is presented. I'll leave it at that, because you're too naive for this discussion, and it's the usual waste of time attempting to educate.
  6. I see "bob smith" tried to reboot under another alias, something about a "stiffy." Great topic for the peanut gallery but disappeared. Stay tuned. But what happened to the Sparktrader/bignok/Dolf bot? The remaining high-profile AI seems going strong, though the fiction about building a new PC finally fizzled out. We're left mainly with the traditional Brown Envelope and Tea Money bots.
  7. Great, love those Russian hotties on the beach w/ their thongs. Most are here as couples and with families, not making problems and enjoying their holiday, which they have as much right to do as anyone. Never found them particularly rude. I rather like it that they don't walk around with idiot grins on their faces and blathering to strangers. Germans never have, and that's never been cause for silly condemnation here on the forum.
  8. If Immigration put a charming ittle post-it note in your passport w/ the next reporting date, then that's your official notification for this time. Roll with it. Far as I know the 90-day reporting date has never reset on extension day. It resets 90 days from your last report. Farang have never understood the reasoning behind this and continually whinged about it, but it is what it is. Online reporting has taken away most of the pain--when it works, which seems to be most of the time IF you fill out the online form correctly. But they may invite you in for an in-person check anyway, as they did for me last time. I think I should be good again going forward.
  9. Unless you don't receive that email. Be safe and track it yourself as well.
  10. Luck o' the draw, really. I swore off Acers after a bad experience w/ a netbook years ago. I'd go with the top-rated brands for reliability, including used, come to that. I bought a used Dell for a knockabout and it's been great. But, as noted, you'll find testimonials in favor of Acer. Good luck. Like the backlit aspect, BTW.
  11. True, most Aussies tend to suck up to the Brits. Fellow Commonwealth members rallying around His Majesty King Charles III, hating Starbucks and McDonald's together. So it's refreshing to find an independent thinker in the mob.
  12. Nonsense. Most of the Russians are here as couples or with families. They spend more in a week than you do in 3 months. Plus they're big buyers of condo, meaning they'll spend more in one day than you do in 20 years.
  13. Me, too. Love those Russian hotties in their thongs out on the beach!
  14. You dunno? So innocent. The DOJ, FBI, and local AG thugs have unlimited funds at their disposal to intimidate, bankrupt, prosecute & jail.
  15. No, most crucially, after approved by MFA, it contains the official translation of your name that will be printed on the yellow book and pink card. It's entirely irrelevant whether you agree with the official spelling and wish to blow smoke. It's the one that'll be used ultimately to grant you an ID number. Your address in the yellow book/pink card is derived from your COR provided by Immigration and verified by two Thai witnesses. So, again the mind-boggling news: two entirely different documents, different information on each, different purposes.
  16. Their attitude has always been quite willing and they'll readily give you a list of requirements. Lot of nice ladies in that office. For me, anyway, but I'm a nice guy as well. The only question then is whether you are willing to meet them. Lots of expats have been, and are. But one man's piece o' cake is another's harsh discipline. Up 2 U, as we say here in Pattaya. Oh. You don't need to get the one translation of your passport from Bangkok or the MFA stamp. Pattaya translator can do all that for you. You will need to get the verification from the Embassy that the copy of your passport is a true copy, however. Me, I easily managed to enjoy my trip to Bangkok. Had some good food & drink, did a little shopping, enjoyed watching all the office ladies, and found some other interesting things to do. 'Course I could have done it all as a day trip from Pattaya, but I figured, why not have a change of scene?
  17. Sounds good. I wonder if this is about the best time to change some of my stash of USD to THB.
  18. Not sure about that, but they might make it a bit clearer who was at fault for the accident. What a dangerous intersection, glad I haven't encountered it. Presumably the Swiss guy knew the route (to his meds) pretty well, so should have exercised extreme caution right there. Not to blame him for the accident. Hope he recovers well.
  19. Who says it's tap water? Water trucks come around and fill up those barrels. Has been known to be lake water but who knows where else they got it.
  20. The morning of the day I went for my extension, I got the bank letter from Bangkok Bank and they simply updated my fixed deposit bankbook to print a new line on the day. NO problem at Immigration.
  21. Smaller targets are harder to locate in the brush. The rest should be easy, however.
  22. Yep, we're taking into this account and the wiser among us are trying to follow a health lifestyle to avoid chronic diseases associated with metabolic syndrome.
