Last week my staff returning from Nakhon Sawan by bus spent 8 hrs on the way (through Suphanburi and Ratchaburi). On the bus there were some people from Chang Mai and for them the journey took almost 20 hrs.

I think it's possible to get to Chang Mai on road through above route but with traffic jams, road used as camping site and bridges as car parks I'd better look for a flight...

On the car park of my nearest temple in Bangkok, (police box approx 20m from there, school in the temple compound) every late afternoon there is a quite large group of guys drinking, gambling and running the car park ... and nobody cares ...

Been to both, views impressive but the food is nothing spectacular. There are much better restaurants in Bangkok - unfortunately without the view. I personally prefer Le Opera @ Sukhumvit 39 if I want a good dinner. If i had to chose I would go for Sirocco, but normally we stop there for few drinks or cocktails after dinner @ Opera ...

There used to be a shop in MBK selling very large t-shirts & shirts. If I remember correct it was on 3rd floor in the area of small clothes shop at the very back in the corner... but this was about a year or two ago ....

I used airportlink once when arrived to swampy 7pm on Friday coz by TAXI it would take at least 2 hrs from there to Sathorn. The ride from Airport to Petachaburi was OK although no storage for luggages in the train (like riding a BTS with large suitcase). The transit to BTW is pain in the arse - no moving stairs and only one elevator, with one 15 Kg check in luggage and a computer bag it was sort of OK but couldn't imagine arriving from US with two pieces. The service would be excellent (as I live just at a BTS station) but it would have to be properly planned and managed... but again THIS IS THAILAND

You have a choice - when I bough my first NB it come with no SW at all - but the guys in IT City sent my notebook before handing over to me behind the corner to a small shop who put "all you need SW" for 500 THB ... the other one came only with genuine (with sticker) Win 7, but again was sent for 500 THB upgrade in the small shop ... so everything works and business as usual for all ...
