No I have a 1 year ED visa with multi entry. Just need to report to immigration every 90 days, no need to leave the country.

They are not wild, but from farms.
Snakes? How you know?
Did not see Snakes on Sri Rachas Tiger zoo menu!
Funny, from what people dream.
Why did you check the menu recently? Did you remember they have crocodile on menu? And since there are so many farm in Thailand for everything, including crocodiles and turtles, why shouldn't they have it for snakes?

What about Sri Racha Tiger Zoo? I remember you can eat crocodile for sure but I am not sure about snake. I must go there again to check it out.

I eat it sometimes. I live in farm country and when the farmers find them in the fields they take them to the village "snake man" who kills, prepares and cooks it. Normally soup. I had to kill a large cobra inside my back patio and my FIL took it to him. About four hours later a plastic bag of "snake soup" was delivered to my house, tasted good. I've also eaten it grilled in the US southwest. I learned a long time ago not to ask "what's that" when eating in a foreign country. Just taste it and if it's good eat it!
Sure, in US you eat everything, I know also snapping turtles, crocodiles, snakes, and here? We should have it all, and nothing... Actually @ Makro they also sell whole frozen turtles...never tried it before...

Snake blood -- better than Viagra.
In Vietnam they bring you the heart in a shot glass. Swallow it down with a beer and after a few minutes it will start beating in your stomach until the stomach acids kill it - about 20 minutes.
Can't help you with where you can get snake in Pattaya or Bangkok.
Go for the cobra every time though.
Vietnamese snake restaurants bring the snake back cooked in four different ways.
Yes, I know about that, but it seems to be too extreme that part... I would rather like to have it cooked someway...

Oh by the way, do you know it is the word dolphin show ever? Ugly dolphins in a shitty brownish greenish water, really old and the show itself was absolutely ridiculous. Trainers were so stupid and incapable of doing anything...

Hello,
Do you know where I can go to have fun with my rangerover on off road tracks? Is there some nice place to go? Thanks.

And what is a better SUV than evoque in Thailand? A fortuner? Or a ugly pajero sport? Come on
I'd say the Cayenne Hybrid is better, but my wife would likely disagree
Hey, sure Cayenne is better! But the guy I replied to he was talking about japs cars available in Thailand, so probably he was thinking of a fortuner.

I am surprised nobody suggested Hopf on the beach road. A huge pub, with nice live music and great Italian food, and of course their own brewed beer. It is almost always full of people, nice atmosphere. In my opinion. And yes, there are also normal people living here like me and my gf.

You lose much more in Europe when you resell a car. The problem is that for you 4 M thb maybe it is too much, everything is related to your income. And what is a better SUV than evoque in Thailand? A fortuner? Or a ugly pajero sport? Come on

I paid 110K euro for my evoque that in Europe cost 75K, so we are talking about of 30% more for Thai tax and dealership. To me it is fair. If I want to go back in Europe I can sell my car for 95K and buy a Lamborghini or Audi r8 in Europe... So what's the problem? In the meanwhile I live here, so I enjoy luxury cars here... I can also go in USA one day (if I win a green card) there cars are even much cheaper than Europe (also German cars), so what this means in Europe people don't buy luxury cars because in USA they are cheaper...?

Hahaha I am a 36 yo pensioner

I think this is why he bought two cars, one for bad roads like the CRV and one sporty car to have fun on better roads...

To answer the OPs question: if I were to live outside BKK, I would probably get a Fortuner/Mitsu Pajero Sport/4x4 automatic pickup and a 2013 Vios and save the money for something else as I would get worse value and quality for my money even if I spent more. If I could wait a year or two I would wait for the new platformed Vigo/Fortuner.
If I had to spend 5 million (a gun was pointed to my head), I would probably pick 2 most expensive locally made Japanese cars for best value.
If I had to pick Merc/BMW I would only spend 4 million total and save 1 million for repairs after the warranty is over.
My friend ended up choosing the BMW 528i M sport and a CRV 2.4 AWD... I think about 5.6 MB in total for the two so he went a bit over budget.
Nice choice, especially for BMW... instead of CRV I would have gone with a Chevy Captiva...

Ok, I do not like to show off too much, so just one pic...
I officially dislike you !!! ...
Very nice motor... It would look lovely with a black wrap on the roof...
I saw a Startech Evoque at the motor show recently... it looked quite awesome....
Thanks
Me too I was looking for the black roof, but my car dealer hadn't one. But this one has the black lip on the back spoiler and very good deal with 2 years of warranty, so I decided to buy there. Anyway I can apply some changes in the near future...

Paying 100,000 Euros for a car you can get for less than half this price in the real world ?
Flush out your head gear people, this is a highway robbery .
I bet you don;t even get a GPS for this price.
Sadly, there is no point comparing prices to EU or Oz or USA or where ever else, because if you live in Thailand, these are the prices, like it or not
I agree, it is absurd comparing prices if you live in Thailand and you can afford it, buy it, otherwise you buy a cheaper car.
What is absurd is your reasoning . You deserve to be robbed .
Oh, really? Come on and rob my car, I have 1st class insurance, may be this way you can get a car for you too. Hater
Have a fews question about ED visa (it's going to be my first time in Thailand)
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
It is not a right/wrong thing here, I simply know I don't have to leave because I used a very expensive Visa company here in Thailand to obtain the right kind of visa/extension 'mixture' to let me stay here easily 15 months without leaving the country.
