  1. Hello people,

Because I'm doing nothing, I would like to do some volunteer work. Let's say 25 hours/week. I live in Thailand for several years, so I have seen that the kids can use some help. If I want to do this, it would be nice when it can be done the legal way.

Who knows the traject to walk?

    I have read things like:

    - workpermit

    - contract volunteer organisation ( what's in it)

    - police rapport (if your not a criminal or something)

    - non-immigrand O visa (90 days with extention for a year)

    - visa application outside Thailand

    But....

    - how much does this all cost?

    - where to go? (any immigration office will do?)

    Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!

  2. This has got to

be the most idiotic idea, and to suggest it will be implemented, if it gets

    passed, by January 2014.

The number of car manufacturers here in Thailand could not make the changes to all the tooling processes

and assembly lines in time. Does that mean they will have to import sub components (That will be a popular interim decision) and what happens to all the RH drive tooling that has not been amortised through current production vehicles.

Oh yes and not to mention majority of RHD pickups are exported from Thailand so if they maintain both the expense to the car companies is well you can just imagine. (Oh its to create more jobs)

Gosh what are they on to let us drive RHD vehicles on the right hand side of the road.

It is such a great idea. I suggest a Nobel Prize. There a many smart ideas from this Government. Let's have a 300km/h train or buy boats to push the water forward. Perhaps we can dig out all the roads and create a high speed canal, instead of cars. The boat man can decide where to drive ;-) So we have solved all the problems with one solution, including the flooding!!! Great!

  3. Dear readers,

I would like to teach on a primary school, or several schools combined. If possible, not to far from my house ( Suphanburi ). I believe my general education ( The Netherlands ) is sufficient enough to teach English. Next to this I enjoyed several technical studies. For many years ( 25 yr ) I was technical director as well. It's my 8th year in Thailand and have some knowledge of the Thai culture and language. Teaching used to be a part of my profession. My Thai wife is an English teacher too. I am 51 years old and I recently did the introduction to TESOL " Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages ".

    - salary can be normal

    - free ED visa for a year

    - free work permit

    - free Thai health care

    When the job location is far, I would like to see;

    - financial compensation for travelling

    - free place to stay at the school

Please sent me email or PM

    Thank you,

    Mr. John

  4. Dear readers,

It's about my exhaust for my tdci 2.5 engine.

Now I drive a sidepipe system, which gives me about 7 % more power over the whole powerband. I have a dark resonable sound, not to loud and I hear no turbo in the exhaust, because I use 2" pipe with a lot of bends. So why change? Well the police stopped me and my wife is annoyed with the fact she might get stopped again ( and pay 1000 bath fine ).

So I tried to assemble a new system. The results were awfull. The racing mufflers which are provided here in Thailand are the resonace types, hollow pipes with some absorbsion material arround it. Okay, they work, BUT the turbo sound is multiplied into soms scary scream, so awfull. Plus, the power increase is huge until 3000 rpm, after that no torque left.

    Does anybody know about:

    - the best way to build an exhaust

    - where to buy mufflers

    - what brand

The last setup was: after cat system, 2.5" pipe, racemuffler and big resonance muffler at the rear.

    Thank you, Johnpost-91942-0-97656800-1362275807_thumb.j

  5. Perhaps my contribution is a bit brrrrrrr...... when you think you know the rules, they change them. Why this visa issue all the time? Countries like Cambodia are very simple with providing visa. Just PAY 260 US to a visa office and the next day you have a year visa. No questions, No forms, No passphotos. Just hand in your passport and 260 US.

I would gladly pay more to the Thai Government, if I can simply have a new visa in my own province. ALL that trouble and being annoyed. Even to stamp every 3 months is a robbery. Thousants of waist Thai Bath, which I better can give to the Thai Officials, then waist it on other country visas, fuell, food and a stay overnight somewhere on the trip.

    Have fun
