  1. I need to commute on the skytrain everyday. I couldn't get any clear information from the ticket counter so i'm asking here. I hope someone can help.

What is the cheapest way to travel on the skytrain? I've heard of the 'SkyPass' card but after paying 100 bht for it i believe you pay the same price for each journey. It just saves you queuing for tickets. Correct?

    Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks

    Bill

  2. Myself and some friends thought we would try a restaurant on Sukhumvit soi 11. We stopped in this small outside bar for a drink before going. This old farang lady was there, she sounded English i think, anyway the most bizzare scene unfolded. She was as drunk as hel_l and started shouting that she was a prostitute and other crazy things at none in particular. She must have been 60 if she was a day! She then started to flash her breasts! She then started ranting on about leaving her vibrator on the sky train! She was the most bizzare person i have ever seen.

Does anyone know anything about her?

  4. Hi all.

I'm a Brit. here in Thailand on a retirement visa. I don't have any property here just a local bank account with a small amount of money in it. I do have personal belongings here, the usual stuff we all have.

    I have offshore bank accounts.

I also have an apartment in a third country which i am getting advice about.

I understand if i was to die here the embassy would arrange for my personal belongings to be sent back to my 'next of kin' who are mentioned in the back of my passport in UK with my remains (body) Is this correct? How do i ensure this happens. I don't want to be 'disposed' of here. Who pays for this? (not me obviuosly )

I was quoted 500 GBP for a 'will pack' which i think is pretty expensive considering a 'will pack' can be bought off the shelf at W.H.Smiths back home for a fraction of that. Would a simple W.H.Smith's 'will pack' suffice suffice for me considering my ‘uncomplicated’ affairs here in Thailand?

If there any folks here who know anything about this and can help, i'd appreciate it.

    Thanks very much in advance

    Andy Capp
