  1. The bts doesn’t enforce it and their voiceover just says “suggests”. There are usually unmasked in most carriages.
  2. What part of Fantasyland do you live in and do you have a spare room? You really have drunk the Kool-aid, haven’t you.
  3. The swaying was more in the form of executive orders. Nobody thinks this body is free to make up their own minds or consider the arguments. The decisions are made for them. The only considering they did was what split to use on the votes to try and make it look like they are an actual working judicial body.
  4. Surely, by now you know at least one Thai?
  5. Based on someone somewhat higher up the tree than Meechai. These clowns are just handpuppets for the actual boss.
  6. They were the ones who a) disbanded one of the major opposition parties for no good reason, and b) said it was fine for Goofy to live in an army house free, being a civilian and all. What do you think?
  7. It's not even thick brown envelopes with this lot, it's decided above them. They just obey orders.
  8. Yep. The CC is just front. They do as they are told.
  9. Japan has always had a mask culture but I'm told by friend who lives in Tokyo that universal masks are really only on public transport now. Much less so in the street.
  10. 4 people on a motorbike, weaving through speeding traffic with a deathwise, no helmets but masks to keep them safe and healthy. The total lack of logic perplexes me. If anything speaks to the dreadful state Thai education is in (or lack of it), that does.
  11. Correction. People in parts of Bangkok are. In much of the country they've largely gone and have been for a while now. Even in BKK there are less and less in some back street areas. Off the main roads of Chinatown for example, younger people seem to have dumped masks.
  12. I was in Singapore two days after they dropped the mask mandate on 1 Sept and maybe 5% were still wearing them. Wife is currently in Java and Bali and said they are rare.
  13. From the story: Not a word from these dishonest hypocritical bunch of clowns on the vast death toll every year from alcohol, not least on the roads. Complete silence. Do they have any idea how much ganja was being smoked daily before the decriminalisation and how much damage that was doing to countless lives as people were criminalised? These so-called medical professionals should be stripped of their practising certificates.
  14. You mean like Canada, many states in the USA, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Croatia, Colombia, Belgium, Austria, Argentina, Georgia, Malta, Mexico, South Africa, and Uruguay, plus the countless other countries where the law is not enforced any more. Those "proriora" states? The world has moved on since you watched those horror story movies about the devil's weed at primary school.
  15. Support for this decriminalisation goes right to the very, very top and Anutin knows this. Somebody has invested heavily in it. The Democrats, who wouldn’t understand democracy if it crawled into bed with them, are the dying party of the old crusties who largely can’t understand how it is possible that they have been fed reefer madness drivel all these decades and are reacting against this to preserve face; PT are doing what they are told by a leader who is out of touch with his constituency after having been blocked from the country for decades and also still has that now internationally long discarded war-on-drugs mindset on this plant; and MF just see it as a way to attack the current government with no real long term commitment to recriminalisation beyond that. Now, it’s back to limbo and the current status quo.
  16. Exactly. I read that post and wondered where the poster's deep medical expertise came from and determined it was either the pub or Facebook.
  17. 90% in the street? It depends where you are. Samui is about 3%, parts of BKK are down to 50/50 now. And where I am, there is a ton of foot traffic but there has been for a year or so.
  18. It's not even brown envelopes. This banana court operates purely on instruction from above. They exist to please one person. No other reason.
  19. Let’s face it, the so called Constitutional Court simply does as they are told. In the UK the PM was chosen by 80,000, here one man makes the call and the court will follow whatever order comes from above, pretending that they have deliberated. The media will bizarrely treat that pretence as fact despite the other fact being that they all know it’s nonsense. That Goofy is supported by the clown who wrote this banana constitution is no surprise.
  20. I always get a metered cab. It really depends where you are. Outside the main tourist zones they are great.
  21. Actually, his real crime was that he didn't share his unexplained wealth fairly amongst the others. He had to go.
  22. Is this the new broom to try and woo voters, from a man only sitting there because he committed treason and, by extension, lese majeste, 8 years back. Last week ended with Thai political commentators pretending the Constitutional Court was not a broken, corrupt facade. This week it's "I did not have sex with that watch", "I did not inhale that watch" and "when I said, 'grab her by the watch' it was just locker room talk" all rolled into one. This man really is everything nasty he's ever been accused of and likely much more.
  23. He’s being hopeful. It’s nonsense.
  24. Old self righteous man yells at a cloud hopefully. It’s already on a second reading and none of that is in there. Go back to your Chang.
