  2. but then people would look right through you...
  3. Really?!? Well, here is yesterday's headline: "Wanted Former Pattaya Mayor Reportedly Flees Thailand to Evade Arrest" and "He reportedly left the country on Cambodia Airways flight KR0702 and was headed to Phnom Penh." So, time to "cooperate", right? Except of course, this is a real connected kind of guy...
  4. Imagine you get there with your camera, only to have your shot obscured by handheld smartphones and metal barriers. Luckily it's a nice visit any other time of the year, too.
  5. this government follows in the footsteps of the previous one: going backwards
  6. Does Thailand have more than one Prime Minister?
  7. Nothing wrong with that, he is pointing at the suspect, it's common practice.
  8. Oh, here, look at that, an economic policy promised during the campaign being put on the (immediate practice) back burner, until the public will be told "to forget about it": TRANSPORT Minister Suriya Jungrungruangkit said this afternoon (Sep. 5) the Pheu Thai campaign pledge to cap Bangkok electric train fares at 20 baht a trip is not being written in the coalition government’s policy statement to be delivered to Parliament but it could possibly be implemented in two years’ time
  9. "Urges"? Show me how urgent public trust is for you, come on, make a display of your urgency! Do some handwringing and stuff...
  10. Thai society has determined: That boy is ready to graduate to a gun. (Sarcasm)
  11. Just another example of how the govt. is moving the country backwards, one month at a time. They won't stop until they've reached the Jurassic,
  12. you can't always get what you want... Rolling Stones
  13. This government is as self-serving as the previous one, They don't care what anyone thinks of them as long as they can stay in power, Broken election pledges and vows - just sling some poop in their direction and then forget it, or resign with fanfare from a party position and quietly accept a much better govt. minister post. Being accused of double standards re Thaksin, that's already pre-calculated in their equation.
  14. America says it has simulated a world without North Korea in it and it was really quiet...
  15. However, there are different approaches to leadership: the dinosaurs in Thai government have also managed to thrive with their principles: Corruption, Cheating, Obfuscation, Persecution, Threats
  16. This is apparently an alleged piece of journalism, probably... Quote: which has allegedly prevailed, had allegedly pushed, who had allegedly taken part, might probably try, had allegedly reached, could probably be challenged, could probably become, might probably be released, had allegedly bowed to, had apparently opted
  17. Just tell them to forget... (Days ahead of the election, he told VOA that he would decline the prime minister post if his party has to form a coalition with the parties of Prayuth and his deputy Prawit Wongsuwon. Now, with Pheu Thai announcing an alliance with Prayuth and Prawit’s parties, Srettha told reporters on Monday that the three months of political deadlock in Thailand had made “it necessary to forget what we said”.)
  18. A quick google of "Police Vision Statement" found 207,000,000 results. Copy/paste and edit for Thai requirements and his morning might take 30min. Here is a relevant topic he overlooked: How to regain public trust in the Police Force... But maybe that's not important.
  19. No, Pheu Thai is exactly willing to do so. Betrayals, breaking promises, changing allegiances are the staple of Thai political parties, the only exception being MFP. Ideologies are useful to create a movement, once the party has power, those ideologies are shelved.
  20. That's what's going to happen from now on..., until the government loopholes the quorum thing.
