  1. Was asked a question last night, so thought someone on here would probably know the answer. If you wanted to ship 6 suitcases and 6 boxes Approx size of a large suitcase, of houshold family goods to Europe by sea.. Does anyone know if it's priced on weight, size or what and who would you use DHL, fourwinds? It's not a container full, only probably 1/8th. I've no idea how much it would cost or who does it.

  2. I am looking for  a second hand book store to give 3-4 bags of books away free. The one on Soi Bukhao seems so to have closed down as does the one on Soi Khao Noi called Star. Does anyone know, preferably on the dark side where I can offload them? don't want to throw them away.

  3. list it with every agent, its then up to them to sell it, (if they have not listed it on their website withing 3 days take them off)list it on all the Facebook pages, there is  lot of them, also Baht and sold and all of the Forums n Pattaya and Bangkok. List it with overseas agents that have a overseas listing. offer a 50,000 bonus to the rep who sells it-separate to his company. Don't rely on 1 or 2 agents, the potential client may not walk into there shop, list it everywhere.

But the most important thing is to list it at a realistic price if you want to sell it, too many people think they can buy a house from a developer for 4million and they spend half a million fitting it out and they want to make a profit so try to sell for 6 million, sorry your house is only worth around 4 million, remember the developer made at least 30% and its a buyers market if you price it wrong and your too high, you will not sell it. price it with everybody/agents on your bottom line. or not up to you!

  4. And your opinion 'Chaingmai lightning,  is relevant why? You don't like Pattaya, your not interested in coming here, and it's obvious you don't know Pattaya that well. I've lived here 17 years, I've not been scammed, got in a fight with a taxi driver or anybody else,  I can get drunk in Chaingmai or Bangkok or anywhere if I want,  the same with a prostitute should I want that.  So why do you come on this forum other than to sprout your total disregard and dislike for the place?

Begone and spread your vitriol elsewhere and leave us Pattaya folk  in peace!

  5. what is he doing that you can not do yourself, if he is a qualified lawyer, he would need to be registered in Thailand, did he give you his business card? I would be very loath to give someone I dont know a copy of my passport and bank details.

I needed a base in Pattaya , a sort of "crash pad"  instead of travelling back and forth from my house in Bang Saray (and myself and the Mrs. are  having some problems). I bought a 40 Sq. Mtr. pad for 600,000 in Pattaya central. It's about 6 minutes walk from Big C  Extra, Pattaya Klang. Perfect for me, I'm getting tired of driving here in Thailand, either car or motorbike and now I can walk everywhere. It's rough and ready looking from the outside and probably put many people off, but you can work away to your hearts desire and make your unit as beautiful and comfortable as you like. It was just a shell when I moved in. I painted it over,  brought all my family pics, bits and pieces I had collected on my travels  from the house and punched holes everywhere in the walls and made the place my home from home.

You see, when a place stands you as little as this you're not too worried about making it "your own"...really putting your own stamp on it. I even changed my address at Soi 5 to here.

The people that live here can only be described as the "Salt of the Earth". no "airs and graces" about them,  Farangs and Thais, motorbike taxi drivers and school teachers, bar girls (and men I presume) for me, that's one of it's main attractions (I mean the people not the barmen 555). I also have a condo in a sort of "Posh" building that I rent but would much prefer to live where I am now.

'She who must be obeyed" now lives in the house and I am as happy as a 'pig in s - - -"  here.

I intend to buy another condo in this building when I sell either the house or the other condo so

forgive me for not mentioning the name of the project (don't want to get crushed in the stampede 555").

Suffice to say I actually did mention it already so it's up to the Sherlock Holmes's among you to spot it.

Cheers all from this "Happy Chappie".

    sounds like Pattaya Pad Condo??

  7. You don't need an efficient Real Estate you need a potential client and you need to spread your net wide, there is a shortage of potential clients so you need to list it with every  agent in town, anyone of them could have a client that fits your needs. Limiting yourself to one agent narrows down the chance of a client. Also create a web page on facebook, join other facebook pages selling property(probably 3-4 at least), advertise on Baht & Sold, Real Estate magazines, Pattaya forums 3-4 of them, Bangkok agents, Foodland and other notice boards. Get creative and contact agents in Phuket, Hua Hin etc thery may have a client looking at a weekend home. Also agents in the uk and other placeswho offer properties abroad etc remember you only need that 1 client. Take photos but clean your place up so it looks like a show room, take good photos yourself and create CDs to give to the agents once they turn up to take their own photos. You can never have enough photos.

  8. It's probably due to all the: mockery, bullying, raillery, sarcasm, satire, irony. Ridicule, deride, mock, taunt imply making game of a person, usually in an unkind, jeering way.

Always someone trying to put someone else down who maybe asking a perfectly simple question or asking for help. It amazes me how perfect some people are (or think they are)and aren't we lucky to have them here, amongst us, as leading lights in our community.

Like you, I browse occasionally but have lost interest over the years with some of the negative hate filled responses that these keyboard warriors put on here.

My favorite is Central Festival, though I like Harbor, too.  I can tell you why some Bangkokians flock to Pattaya's shopping centers on weekends.  My partner's sister and her husband live in BKK and work at banks.  They leave for work around 5:30AM and get home, exhausted, around 7:30 or 8PM, sometimes later, depending on the traffic.  By the time they unwind a bit and get some dinner, watch a little tv, it's time for bed and start the whole rat race again in the morning.  Good luck finding time to do anything more than essential shopping.  When they sometimes visit us on a weekend, they're off to hit the malls first thing.  They love that the malls are so easy to get to compared to BKK. They can easily hit the outlets, Central Festival, and Royal Garden and they usually come back loaded down with things like shoes, clothes, and so on that they don't have time to shop for during their busy weeks.  We complain about the traffic but it's a breeze compared to BKK and Pattaya is fairly compact with a lot of the shopping choices not far from each other.

Then surely they could do that in Bangkok at the weekend, then they would not have to travel to Pattaya to shop? just a thought!

  10. They have moved to the square, the Tuesday/Friday Soi Bukhao market is located, behind pattaya south road, colured yellow I think on the corner.

Soi 89 on Sukhumvit  is almost opposite & just south of MAKRO on eastern side.  Mr Shop/Tesco etc  is about 500m on the left after the railway

Are they different owners from a year ago do you know? we used to use them but the quality of the job dropped off so we stopped using them. they are the closest to me and would go back if different owners.

    yes.

I would not use this company, we bought one from there and asked a year later to have a small rip repaired and they said we had to,pay 9,000'baht!!.....the whole 3 pieces only cost 30,000. When I questioned why, they then changed there mind and said they don't do repairs. When we bought originally I asked this and they said of course, we make them! Bunch of lying t#%ts! Had it repaired privately for 300 baht and gave it to the mother in law!

  13. if you go to Chonburi Central plaza on the 2nd floor the apple official repair shop, I just got my phone replaced after a major fault. If you use an unauthorized dealer and have a problem then I doubt you will be able to change in the future.
