It's a place where many young Israelis go after finishing national service.
yes, I heard and witnessed that too. plenty of pimps and dealers here in Bangkok. "Defenders" of Holy Land. Nice guys to chat but very sneaky to deal with businesswise.

So they are useless, that's obvious. But why [for X-sake] adult man would join this circus?
inferiority complex?
Nah!
as we've heard many times: "When in doubt - follow the money"
I don't know about all of that "filthy 40" there were few cases of extortion committed by those "volunteers".
Translation services? from Hungarian to broken tinglish to policeman who barely can say "what you gonna do when they come for you"? Please!
Again: follow the money, not vanity, pride or [ROFL] public order.

Reads to me like Mr. Milkewicz is the father not Terry.
Polish surname. Got it.
I heard about this "lost american daddy" some 15+ years ago. It was another way to get citizenship and cost (back than) about $10K.
Terry got $3K and a ticket.
Meanwhile "my thai GF flies with me to AU" was 20K thb, I knew one old Wilbert who did it every year.

that someone once told me that children over a certain age (16 I was told) are not allowed dual nationality and must pick one.
Our neighbor is Pol.Col. and his 2 sons are dual UK & TH. I asked him "how is possible to be a citizen of 2 kingdoms?" as I was also under same impression.
I think somehow that is not an issue anymore & at all.

During Syrian crisis there were many families seeking refugee status (that building near UN HQ at Ratchada Damnueng rd). All refused. They tried visa-runs, working ilegaly at kebab-shops. Many ended up in IDC. The story was tearful. The whole families went to detention.

Samsung wont service US products. I was told that last year. If they did I would
Samsung is not US company. They did my monitor (not a 3000 thb LED, Pro one). They contacted Motherland and got spare parts to replace. The rest is just plug'n'play.
The only problem I faced over years was Dolby 5.1 DVD player from Japan with official Panasonic service center. Those were illiterate <deleted> holes. <<< but that is different story.

ED Plus caused huge influx of students in <not to mentioned> University. six-feet tall europeans, chinese, whatever >>> none speaks thai, arrogant will attend something Humanitarian courses for years.
Why can't they just make it "case-by-case" instead of "carpet rule"?
So sorry for Thai education system!

There are funds released for so-called "rebranding". How difficult is it to grasp?
Cute guys at something tourism assoc./federation just funneling those funds. Normal practice worldwide. Skimming.
No body actually cares about that <deleted>hole, we all heard about "turning Pattaya into family friendly resort", so? Not even a small thing changed.
Just as klongs in Bangkok - as sh*tty and filthy as they were 30 years ago. Even worse.
