  1. Very long @Mac Mickmanus Please allow me to correct you: there's no "facial recognition" thingy at all. Whenever they (BiBs) want to play with AI - they submit images to Israeli service which charges some $ per 1.000 pairs. Or outsource it to students to visually "mix'n'match". Yet you made a good point - things are not what they used to be
  2. Once Mr.X had an overstay of 1175 days (about that) and decided to clear things up. So he went to land border, paid 2K THB to an agent (some farang connected to local IO), entered neighboring country, went to his embassy and claimed he lost passport. Got new one, entered LOS and that cost him something about 15K including 2K bribe, hotel, Embassy charge and daily booze. But he was young and adventurous fella.
  3. Once upon a time (~2003-ish) thai fella went banana and announced the Sale of his flat (73sq.m. 19th floor condo, great view over Ratchadapisek Road, Bangkok) for bare 1M thb. Guess what? even for that price nobody bought it! Finally some lucky khun chin purchased it through manager of the condominium, it took only (ROFL) 5 years.
  4. Reminds that story in China Town Bangkok when they were buying houses to demolish and build MRT station: old blocks who thought there <deleted>holes were uber valuable got almost nothing from Land Dept. However - it is hard task to sell condo unit with profit. very hard, unless you inherited it and didn't pay nothing )
  5. very low quality of translation. misguiding.
  6. Ah, another dumb luk-krueng. Last year it was some phat one, previously - another luk-krueng, even further dumber. She has no clue on the subject - her speech is scripted. These days even deaf folks throw some cr*p toward Russia, so her imagemakers made this speech: must say something about world peace? Putin's perfect target! $600 electric bills in EU are also his faults. on the subject: when will real Thai lady win this sham fre*k show of mistresses?
  7. I know a dude who sell them on Ebay for years. Not a single problem. However those are not Buddha precisely - I mean that Prince who left his hood to wonder around and fell asleep under the bodhi tree. Most popular are small statues (about 20cm) of the idol with multiple faces, I guess his nom is Brahma-something. But paintings? Those from Chatuchak have no value at all, as well as common taste. Who would buy that kitsch?
  8. Herself, blue book "chanote" and a visit to local municipality to transfer ownership + fee (stamps). Very easy to do transfer, however quite difficult to find a good deal
  9. That shows that Dr. Deja posses deep knowledge on "overseas criminal psychology". Likely by watching multiple episodes of popular series about "uber smart US cops'n'lawyers". And yes, Biden's new America is really weird place now.
  10. Ah, been there ) I used my sweetheart's credit card (last life) to pay all those bills - very convenient - just attach card to PayPal and enjoy. However, once we had an argument about "farang's infidelity in Thailand" so next day she called to Bank and reported her card "stolen". So PayPal revoked money (about 40K THB) from about a dozen of entities incl. big one like Amazon, Skype, GoDaddy and locked my account. I had "fun" for about a week.
  11. Unless doing some domain-trading stuff when he needs to buy expired domains immediately, I simply paid hosting for whole year as well for domains. Unfortunately there're good hosting companies who accept either PayPal or credit cards through PayPal, although their WHMC panel has crypto option.
  12. PayPal was great to sell stuff from Chatuchak on Ebay say 15++ years ago PayPal was just fine as a payment processor for many e-commerce sites (shops) selling small items (about $7 to $199) wolrdwide PayPal was not so great with frequent charge backs, the way they handled PayPal was awful with their support outsourced from Bangladesh to Philippines I think PayPal times are over - they didn't come up with any new ideas, yet PayPal (Thailand) is just hilariously funny.
  13. Dr. Deja wants some govt. funds for "study". been there saw that. cheap trick. ????
  14. I like the "tourist police" idea. Yep, that's what they are for: taking care of tourists, even if they are not on tourist visa. However as any confrontation against local could get ugly I'd move. PS: for decades I lived in many places around BKK and I wonder: how did OP find a <deleted>hole like this? Is it somewhere in slums of Klong Toey / Yannawa area? Sounds disgusting!
  15. Obviously a fake news. PS: " to be delivered in a rendezvous" << who writes like that? A canadian?
  16. big deal! There are many foreigners living in LOS without any documents. Also, there are "concern citizens" from all around the world. I even knew one dutchman who was actually proud to be a snitch. Not newsworthy at all.
