When I transferred mine they put the transfer stamp and the last arrival date stamp from my last actual visa, then another arrival stamp from my last re-entry after that as well as an extension stamp. It took up two pages of my new passport. Then later when it was time for my new extension, it was back to normal. I have heard it's okay to fly with both passports, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.  Did your Embassy send a letter with your new passport requesting Thai Immigration to transfer your visa and extension of stay? I'm sure there is a whole thread about this in the Visa section of TV Forum.

Got a letter for immigration with the new passport.

I'm lazy for the immi boys but as you said better safe then hassle at the airport.

Letter confirming the passport renewal is required in case the new passport is issued in or send to you in Thailand and not used yet. (no entry stamp inside)

Some countries (like Holland) put the replacement information in the new passport and in that case the letter is not required.

If the new passport is used to get into the country (entry stamp in new passport and extension with re-entry permit in old passport) the letter is not required.

There is no fee but i have reports that the officer in room 103 is asking 500 Baht to transfer the extension.

Better to wait with the transfer until the renewal of the extension is required and do it in one go.

You can meanwhile travel with both passports.

Is it also necessary to transfer the entry stamp to the new passport if there is no more valid visa in the old passport?

Or is it ok to fly out with new empty passport and old cancelled pasport?

Look what they did with the Heroines roundabout. Fenced off the roundabout. Now all traffic has to make u-turns further down this very very busy and fast road. And think how many bad traffic accidents are reported along this road.

Good that they fence it off in the main traffic times. Too much traffic for this roundabout that it can't work more.

Roundabouts no solution for roads like this.

Have to get traffic off the roads by heavy taxes and initate new free solutions with this taxes.

  5. For installation of a new system why not buy at HomeWorks or HomePro and use their installation service.

Used HP service some weeks ago for new pump. All was fine and easy.

  6. Emergency hotline 24/7.

Claim department only in office hours. This way standard also in Europe not only here.

Confirmation of coverage only at claim department hours except real life-threatening cases then 24/7.

I had the misfortune to drive across the top of Bangla last Saturday night about 10.45 pm.

About 5 lanes that gradually  reduced down to ONE LANE  there caused a large traffic jam.

The culprits were tuk tuk drivers , all jockeying to double and triple park right at the corner with Rat-U-Thit rd. and  Soi San Sabai. Not a  cop to be seen.

I thought the army had forgotten all about their commitment to cleaning up Patongs  streets.

I applaud their hard work !!

I certainly would go into Patong to shop and eat if there existed some public parking.

Business as usual. Low season never mind but in high season it is clogged.

Park at Jungcylon or at Loma.

But the picture is just a sample not actually from Phuket?

(HAKO, German brand with an Austrian license plate)

Such machines are in widespread use in Germany e.g.

I don't think that they necessarily spray water (maybe optional).

They work with brooms and a strong vacuum cleaner.

Would be nice to see an up-to-date picture from Phuket.

It's about two years that I saw a big sweeper (truck size) some European band in Udon Thani.

Was too surprised to take a pic.

Yup only sample pic. Was too fast to took pics.
