  1. Aranya,

find enclosed the web adress of Bangkok Network of Women (BNOW).

    http://www.geocities.com/bnow_th/BNOW.html

It is a group of girls that meets sometimes to share a drink (or many) :o

I have been once and it was pretty nice with a large mix of nationalities.

You will meet girls mostly but last time there were also some guys.

It is really relax and it helps to meet people when you are newly arrived such as me.

by the way, if you come to bgkk, i will be pleased to meet you. just let me know

    see you!

  2. Hey Aranya,

Sorry for not having answered earlier, I have just seen your post as I come back from holiday. :D

I have been visiting the north of LOS which was great and wet!

    well, yes, I am French (nobody's perfect :o )

Welcome to this forum and I hope you will enjoy it a lot!

    :D

  3. It's funny that farang girls think they can post something on this site or mangosauce to make us feel bad about being here and partaking of the bounty.

    Hi,

It is you who make me feel bad about being here. I live in Thailand, work there. I'm single (my boyfriend and I split up just before I arrived in Thailand). And I don't go in some bars trying to shag every guy in sight.

I have good relationships with farang men as I just think they do what they want with whom they want. I am not here to waste my time by telling them what they should do or not

Moreover, I agree with Cathyy in some ways because when I've got a boyfriend, I am also just happy to make him feel comfortable at home. I like to prepare his breakfast or a nice dinner. And sometimes, I do appreciate when men pay the bill at the restaurant or open the door for me. :D

The important thing is to make the right balance between your job and and your personnal life.

As you can see, girls can be happy in Thailand without being angry with men. And without chasing everyone they see. :o

  4. English basher

It's more because the first Salt & Vinegar crisps were done by Golden Wonder - in Edinburgh.

So Salt & Vinegar crisps are about as English as haggis.

you don't help for finding these pieces of shit I love (both, salt & vinegar and haggis :o ). It doesn't matter for me whether they are english, scottish or french. I just love them.

where is the tesco near your home?

    cheers,

    sego

  6. Given all the confusion and the terrible start, I cannot honestly blame anyone who chooses not to come to our meetings, either, although I'm Vice-President of the Association. But I and the others would gladly welcome you should you care to drop around for a visit.

Please feel free to contact me if I may be of any assistance or provide any information.

    With warm regards,

    Kurt T. Francis, Vice-President

    Expats' Association of Thailand

I hope this helps clear up all the confusion.

    Hi Mekongkurt,

Despite of I have just readen about the story of the club, I still want to join an expat' club.

I'm arrived in thailand 3 months ago, and I really want to meet new people.

Can you tell me when and where are your next meetings.

What do you do during those meetings, which nationalites I will meet and so on...

    cheers

    sego

  7. For me, as I've started my professionnal life last year, it was more important to get a great job first

Within one year after you graduated you manage to find a job in Thailand.

We see quite a few postings from men wanting to work in Thailand, was it the same for you or the job you got just happened to be based in Thailand?

I had not really the wish to work in Thailand but when I applied for the job, the only thing I paid attention to was that position was out of France.

So, the country was not my first goal, if the job would have been based somewhere else, I would have applied anyway. Finally, I am really happy being there, because in fond in love with the country. :o

    what about you?

  8. Hi bluecat,

this is an interesting question. I will answer regarding my personnal case. I am here for the business. For me, as I've started my professionnal life last year, it was more important to get a great job first and then, I would think of an eventual boyfriend. Maybe it sounds odd, maybe it sounds French.... :o
