Let's hope that Thailand elects a Government that will get rid of ridiculous laws like these.
Even if you were immortal you still wouldn’t see that day! Sadly.

I for one am amazed that anyone came at all considering the air-piracy being employed by airlines and the limited amount of flights. They are making everyone pay for their “losses” after taking in all the covid payouts. It’s a wonder anyone is bothering getting on a flight…I certainly am not until they return to normal.

Stupid is as stupid does.
There probably are but you won’t hear about them here as there usually isn’t a foreigner involved.

Seriously tragic! Health and safety Hub of Asia…not! Mind you to be fair all Thailands neighbouring states are pretty much in the same boat. You really have to keep ‘em peeled here as literally anything and everything is possible. On the whole though I prefer the non-nanny state approach and as such will accept the risks.

Exactly my thoughts! Well at least he won’t be putting his kids in danger with Monkeys again at least. I won’t let my kids near any dogs in Thailand for the very same reason.

This is the root cause and where they should be concentrating their efforts. Severe jail terms for parents who sell or profit from the prostitution of their children would go a long way to preventing the children ever getting into that life. No young teenagers or younger wake up one morning and say “hey mum when are you going to rent me out for sex”. I would be prostituting my own <deleted> and that of my wife’s if that is what it took to put food on the table….not my kids! If you think I am wrong then please never consider having children. I suspect though some do simply to do this to their children as their retirement plan.

The devil is in the details, why is there no elaboration on the balcony fall and how that occurred. If this was the fault of the accommodation they were staying at then I am sure we would have read about it but the lack of that information (unless I have not read it) indicates there was stupidity, drunkenness or carelessness involved which any insurance company is going to baulk at paying out for.

What absolute twoddle! It seems Mr. Heinecke hasn’t stepped inside of an economy class cabin in a couple of decades so his view of tourism may be quite different to reality. Rather address the inadequate supply and availability of cheap airline tickets with shorter transit times for passengers to get to their chosen destinations. Vaccines and their availability or percentages of locals inoculated has smeg-all to do with peoples current concerns about travelling. Personally I think the current policy is smack on. No testing and no compulsory insurance. If people aren’t coming to Thailand it’s because they didn’t want to in the first place.

Passengers who do not have any will be advised, before entering the country, how they can get coverage.
Did nobody else pick up on this whopper scam subtly inserted in the middle of the report!!! If they have dropped the requirement why do they need to check and if they find that you don’t have health insurance you are pointed towards the desk that has coverage at 5000% higher rates than any other normal health insurance or you are refused entry!!!
So the restriction has NOT been lifted but rather you are required to play a game of Russian roulette once you are already in Thailand when your choice is either get a flight out back out of the country and all the costs that involves plus cancelled accommodation etc etc or accept the fleecing they will give you for your health coverage. FO!

That’s the problem the world is too full of idiots to allow the breed to exist safely with human beings. It’s not the dogs fault it’s just being what it’s bred to do but it’s the idiots who own them that cannot keep them under control. Let’s face it, why else would you keep such a breed of dog? To show off? Give yourself the appearance of being tough or cool (aka an idiot)? If you want a loving dog well that’s every dog isn’t it so you don’t necessarily need a pit bull to satisfy that urge. If you must own this type of dog and it ends up hurting, maiming or killing someone the owner should be held accountable to the extent that they did it themselves and prosecuted accordingly and the dog destroyed immediately, which if you loved it might focus the owners attention on avoiding this outcome. This would go a long way to ensure only responsible owners end up keeping them. If my child was mauled or killed the owner would be far safer behind bars…forever!

Fabulous so if I cause an accident, which was unintentional as most are I don’t need to pay? Good luck with that one. The bank in question should be named and appropriately shamed! Undoubtedly when they are and there is a public outcry there will be loads of Wai-Ing and flower bouquets and fruit baskets all around.

I am literally speechless. I am so utterly shocked that someone could do this. I can only think that this persons brain was wired in such a way that she believed what she was doing was ok. No rational thinking normal person could even think to do this. Sociopath?

It’s the same old story. They slap on as much as they can until it people stop and then they reduce it to get back to what they want. They never learn and always but always have to do it the hard way. My guess is that their thinking is if people accept a higher threshold than before then it’s a win for them. There ultimate goal has and will always be for you to send ALL your holiday funds to Thailand but don’t come! Something many bar girls have managed to accomplish.????

I think seeing that ASEAN brought this appeal to us that they should follow up very closely on this story and the funds that have gone into this account. Unfortunately with the sums already quoted in just a 24 hour period that the temptation to expropriate those funds by those who have decided to take control will be too great. Indeed I think the folk at ASEAN should set up an account for the young lady and pay it to her directly as she needs it. I would continue to donate if that was the case. Under the current setup (described after donating) I am now hesitant to continue. I do hope that there is not a follow up report that someone has absconded with those funds or they have been used to pay administrative fees to those in control. Anyone helping should be do so free of charge and every baht must go to the girls education and improvement of her living conditions period!

Oh FO already! Your investigation has more holes then Swiss cheese and is purely about keeping covid relevant. No information regarding the demographic of those that did pass away. All of the most relevant information is missing and as such anything like this should be binned prior to publication. It seems ASEAN is simply helping shovel the manure around for them. And placing the article along side the one encouraging people to get their booster shots before travelling…well need I say more. I think you can do better!

Fortunately for Thailand the hotel industry understands what Thailand is and what it offers. They are not going to bump up prices and have no guests. They have just been through 2 years of that! Unless the government is going to subsidise them for having their hotels empty, which they could not do during the pandemic, then it’s just anal air flailing around in the wind! Now that is something they are good at.

Like he said sheeple mentality and that applies directly to the Japanese. Does make it easier for them when applying a directive which has some advantages. Japan is going to take some time before people begin removing masks in public.
