  1. I have no problem, with your joke,

as I see a lot of guys my style, everywhere in Thailand, from Koh Lanta - Chiang Rai - Knachanaburi - Mukdahan.

Special a lot in Soi Bangla, Pattaya Beach Road-Walking Street, Bangkoks lower Sukhumvit and in every Lotus, Big C in Isaan!

But, I have to say, there are a lot of handsome youngsters around in the Red Light Districts in TH,

who seem to be to lazy to get a Falang lady into Sexual activities in there home country.

These make the level of a "Sexy man" in TH nowadays, unusual high, compared to 1990. rolleyes.gif

    saai.gif

And you know this by interviewing them all do you?

.Maybe red-light districts are places guys want to visit when they are young...Not when they are old and 'wise'.

    Know what?

What I see, I know! There are many overweight, bald, 50+ Falangs and Expats around in TH.

That it is more easy and fast, to have Sex in TH-Red light districts for a handsome young Falang, than to do it in Western home country?

    No interview necessary. Fact.

That the proportion of younger men, coming to TH for Sex is now more high than 1990.

    Fact. I see it!

"Maybe red-light districts are places guys want to visit when they are young.."

No, nothing to do with age! but with Passion!

"Maybe red-light districts are places guys want not to visit, when they are old and 'wise"

Only, if even -Kamagra- not works!tongue.png

    Because,

"Even if there is already snow on the roof, in the cottage, the fire still burns!"

You are missing my point. It winds me up hearing people say things like "why doesn't get a girlfriend in his own country".

Yes I agree that younger guys are frequenting red-light areas, but for you to assume that they visit Thailand because as YOU said "seem to be to lazy to get a Falang lady into Sexual activities in there home country." is absurd.

I've worked all across Asia and lived in a number of countries where their has always been a stereotype of young guys in that country, made of course by the over 50's who have lived there longer.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it people like YOU who cannot get a farang lady in your won country? People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones and all that.

  2. never drink "heavily" in Thailand and always go back to your hotel before 1am.

I "nearly" never drink more than a bit alcohol and that only sometimes.

I am 50+, bald - 80 %, heavy overweight 130 kg, wearing glasses, and a man. Handsome times and Glory Days long gone!

(Chances to be rape victim, very slim!)

I must also return to the hotel before 1 AM? rolleyes.gif

By that description you should never leave the hotel..thumbsup.gif

    Just kidding my friend

  3. We were at the Moto GP in October, and the Hillstands are definitely good value for money - we were in the main grandstand but the Moto GP is much cheaper than F1!!!

Expect rain - the MotoGP race was stopped after 9 laps. Adds more thrills and spectacular spills.

Also make sure you arrange transport back to KL or your hotel before you go to Sepang, as it is a nightmare trying to get a taxi outside.

If you're staying in KL expect to pay around 350-400 RGT (100usd) for a return taxi fare to Sepang. KL has some excellent places to visit.

  4. The Milford has just been painted from the road side and looks a dam_n-sight better than it did. It may be a 'dump' as somebody politely describes it, but it offers a beachfront view for 7000 thb a month. You won't get much cheaper than that.

  5. There's a new Mexican Restaurant on Payoon Beach Road, just past Sintavee on the other side of the road. Can't remember the name of it but the food is fantastic, and the price is reasonable too. Well worth a visit.

    Its called Hontong Grill

    Kon Tong

I tried this place the other night. No Thai food, No Pork, No Chicken, over priced rubbish, I will never go back.

Were you at the right place?

I know there's no Thai food as it's a 'Mexican Restaurant'. I've always had a fine feed in there. The Chicken Fajita's are magic - they have chicken inside them.

  6. You can get an FET certificate from your bank and this is all you need. Just ask them. Ideally it should say "for condo purchase" in the "purpose of transfer" box but in practice it doesnt seem to be important in Pattaya, as long as you have the FET. The FET was previously known as a Tor Tor Sam (TT3) and some people still refer to them this way.

You dont need a lawyer to buy a condo in Pattaya, assuming that you know what you are doing. It doesnt really sound as though you know what you are doing though, so the best advice I can give you is to assume that everyone involved in the transaction is out to scalp you, and that way you wont go far wrong.

Lol I try to do all my business in this way anyhow! Thanks for the info. This forum has given me a rough idea of what I need to check out before I hand over any money. The tor tor sam and the ownership quota sounds like the 2 most important things I need to check out, and to ensure that the name on the chanote matches the seller's name with no exceptions. I think I will scrap the idea of using a lawyer, and see if I can do this with only the advice from TV. I have a trustworthy Thai friend who could accompany me to any meetings to avoid any unforseen 'costs'.

    Thanks again.

  7. On the same subject..

I also wish to buy my first Condo and here's the situation. I work 28x28 rotation outside Thailand so I only spend 1 month at a time in LOS thus not requiring anything more than the Visa on arrival. I have an SCB account to which I have transferred the amount for a condo I saw in Pattaya directly from my UK account, but don't have anything on a bank statement saying what it was transferred for.

I haven't yet looked at the property, but would like to know if I fulfill the criteria to own a property before a) paying for a lawyer to tell me that I don't, or B) wasting the sellers time.

Also, what are the lawyers/agents fees roughly? Do they take a percentage?

Sorry if I sound stupid, it's something I have never really looked into up to now.

    Cheers.

  8. "take it from someone who works in O&G, send a CV by all means, even follow up with a phone call, but do not go knocking on any doors ,if you have already been told they have no positions all you will do is start p*ssing people off.."

Sorry Soutpeel but I beg to differ with that advice mate. Going by experience, I have always found that the more you pi** off a company by bugging them to get a start with them, the more likely they are to say "oh just give him a start to shut him up". I've worked for 5 service companies over the last 13 years and although I was lucky enough to get my foot in the door through a relative, I ended up unemployed on several occasions. I know it's easier to get a start with a company if you already have some experience, but never doubt the power of gentle persuasion and aggressive willingness - especially with service companies when you have a BOSIET and medical in hand. wink.png

Lets agree to disagree on this one, personally It really gets on my nerves when some one contacts me looking for a job, I tell them there is nothing going at the moment and they dont give up, whether email, phone calls or wanting to come and see me...no different from the cold calling financial advisor's and they p*ss everyone off...biggrin.png.

All CV submissions I do get, I do read, and do keep a copy and sometimes something comes up and on occassion and I have contacted the guy concerned and they have got the job

Yeah I guess I can see your point there. I think what I am really trying to stress is to anybody trying to get a start in the O&G industry is to never give up. That seems to be the falling point with so many people I know. They expect to be able to send there CV out and then wait for the companies to call them. You know as well as I do that it just doesn't happen like that (for an inexperienced guy trying to get a start).

Right now the E&P industry seems to be booming, and it is an employees market, where people in my trade (Wellservices) are being literally bombarded with job offers. Best time to be a DRB if you ask me thumbsup.gif

  10. Hey GUYS

I really wanna sit with you guys and talk about this.

This is 2 Type of BIGBIKE's Green Book

    1. Real green book 100% regal pay more than 75,000 to 100k up to yours bike's brand.. wait more than 3 months BUT Now the situation Law in Thailand not allow any old secondhand bike import to registered and make regal on the road anymore , So Even today you give 80,000 bahts to Bigbike shop with heaps of connection , Nothing will guarantee you will get regist. You may get chance but may be not . You may loose your money for free.....But the corruptness never die after this Gov. end of term may be you can do it again.(they will do it again for sure) So to answer this Topic is not Worth anymore (for this time only)

    2. Grey Book or Doctored book ( In Thai we call Covered book) 50%-90% regal depend on how well the people would do to the bike or book. If 90 % you can't even tell anything because every single detail in book and the bike is correct even on data base . The police can not touch you with that. and still you can now do it ..If not in Bkk, or Chaingmai will be easier. BUT whenever you wanna sell and change name of owner(or even change color) .Don't ever take your bike into the transportation department . just pay people outside to do it so the cost will be not less than 4500-5000 bahts for changing name only.

Well, for me fake book is a grey book with less than 50 % , easy to recognize.

And about Paying Tax....Don't worry , When ever you got money to pay them they don't care anything.

I am just a Thai biker in Lardphao area.(near Honda Bigwing) , Bangkok...anything I could help you can contact me.

    Pich.

    Thanks for that info...

  11. @hyperdimension....We'll also have to agreee to disagree too if you don't mind.

A good friend of mine is a cop & I tend to beleve what he says whenever he comes

out here and we chat about cop things. Reference to my Ectasy bit...he put 8 rounds

of 9mm into the chest of a ectasy crazed black man in Los Angeles...the first 7 rounds racist cun_t

slowed the guy down, the 8th stopped him. Blood work at the morgue said MDMA

levels were "way off the charts" Whether or not he was in the down phase or high

    phase made no difference.

When I was in Vietnam I did a lotta speed (methamphetamine sulphate) on LRRP's

simply to stay awake. Our medic made up "combat cocktails" for each of us in case

we were wounded with non mission critical wounds...i.e. ...wounds which were not

going to kill you or you had to be immediately medivaced. These mixtures were

simply morphine sulphate and methamphetamine sulphate, both in liquid form

and measured by body weight...and pre-made into small syringes. A wounded

troop could still carry the fight and remain alert until mission completion. I was

strung out on these for a while after being wounded...it was more the morphine

    high than the speed.

You have some neat & fancy charts & graphs and I do agree with the one which

states that alcohol is the main cause of most drug related problems however it's

listing with the illicit drugs is misleading. True but misleading as it is legal in

most countries...even in some Muslim nations where non Muslims reside also.

I've also had friends get killed in the drug trade when deals went sour and have

had friends OD on a drug they have been using for ages. It's not pretty ODing.

To me...if you wanna use stuff in pill or powder or liquid form then so be it...

whatever blows your skirt up...enjoy it...I personally think you're stupid though

because the people you get your shit from don't know the trail of the new

batch they're flogging and what's actually in the product they're flogging.

To them it's either good or not on the streets.

Remember...you could end up like simple1's friend from the corporate world.

Anyway...doobies are all right with me...I'm happy with that. My friend....
