Got something better to do
-
So sad - little advance publicity and not enough seats. It was far better at KSK.

“But at least we will have a better system for collecting information on which foreigners enter Thailand, how often they enter and when,” he said.
"Immigration queues will get longer, but this needs to be done. They already do it in other countries, such as Japan.”I've just returned from a month's travelling in Japan and never once saw any fingerprints being taken going in, coming out, or during. Who invents this stuff!?!?

Those dämn foreigners again.
Actually, I think this story is about the hundreds and thousands of Chinese honeymoon couples who have arrived like lemmings and rent motorbikes to drive around with no idea or care about other drivers.
It's quite interesting to watch them moon about laughing, high on love or whatever drifting into a line of moving traffic while sweetheart on the back points to a wat or something of interest.
it's like Chiang Mai is one giant amusement park and its an all day ride for them.
i've nearly cleaned up a few as they just don't seem to think the cars up here can hurt.
The Chinese embassy will have it's hands full repatriating injured people back to China if the authorities don't get pro-active.
Maybe better to put them in tour buses and show them around.
Seen so many examples, I couldn't agree more. An amusing aside on a similar subject; two of us were swimming lengths in a swimming pool last week. A Chinese swimmer got in and proceeded to swim circles in the middle of the pool.

Amazing Thailand - just when you think you've heard it all ............... more drivel comes along!

"SEMI NAKED" ! A bit of an overstatement for this picture surely. I see women dressed similarly to this every day/night in Chiang Mai!

WHAT A MISTAKE - moving from Kad Suen Kauw to that building site out of town with no parking !!!!!!!!!! Just for the money I guess. I bet attendances will be WAY DOWN. Such a shame; I have attended most evenings of the past 5 or 6 festivals. I will NOT be going there.

After 3 weeks the IQ6 is performing very well - great value at that price. Not perfect but what bit of hi-tek is these days.

Great news; particularly the Singkhorn checkpoint, which could open up an interesting part of Burma if we are allowed to travel. I wonder if a two week pass will be issued as in Tachilek or if it will only be for one day. I've visited this checkpoint in the past and paddled across the river there for a short illegal entry.

Thats not an R1 also! Its not even a Yamaha, the picture is of a Kawasaki z1000
Well, that's what the caption said; what more do you want!

I don't think I have ever heard "it was my error and I accept the responsibility" since I arrived in Thailand in 1989.
Neither have I, but it is a rather a archaic statement that one is not likely to hear.

The tides an be really tricky off the west shore. It might not be like it seems.

There are two versions of the new IQ6, IQ6 & IQ6A. One uses 850mhz and the other 900mhz just choose the one suitable for your sim card providerI've been reading various reviews about I-mobile phones and have been impressed by the responses I've read.
The only problem I can see with the IQ6 is that it only supports 3G internet @850MHz, there's no 900 MHz option. So you won't be able to use an AIS sim and get 3G, plus, as far as I'm aware, all the UK networks use 900 MHz for their 3G internet so for those people going to/living in the UK although the phone will work fine you will only be able to access the slower 2G internet which, of course, is no good for video calls and video streaming.
The IQ1 does however support both 850 MHz and 900MHz 3G internet systems but it only has an 8 megapixel camera, a 4.5in screen and a slightly smaller battery. It does have a TV option though.
The two phones have similar specs in all other areas.
I'm a Wolves fan too - and I think I shall buy one of these phones tomorrow.

wow, that's awfully close to where I used to live.

Why would high end tourists want to go to a low end resort. Perhaps to get a 'bit of rough'?

I'm sick of all this negativity. I use Green Bus and Nakhon Chai Air regularly and they are well-run bus companies that provide a great, safe service as far as I'm concerned.

I must be the only selfish farang in Thailand I would to see the baht where it was 72 to £ when i came to Thailand and transfered all my cash here.
Could you please write that again in good English so that we may understand your sentiments

It's time people considered prisons a place for punishment again; most criminals are basically bad at heart and would do whatever they did again. Putting them in cosy prisons is a waste of time and money. Thailand has it right.

Absolutely a complete joke in Thailand. I had to have a Master's degree and two year TEFL course to teach elementary level in Arabia

When I took my test in Chiang Mai years ago, all the answers were already circled for the foreigners in the room.
As you said, that was a long time ago - it's all changed now.

Anyone unable to pass the Thai driving test REALLY does not belong on the road!
If this had worked, the Russian would have a license with his friend picture on it, how did they think that was going to work?
I laughed and laughed at this one ....... thank you!
If you have ever taken the Thai written/electronic test, you would know how difficult it is to pass (English version). There are questions with no right answers, there are questions with two answers that could be correct, there are questions where the answer is correct for one question but incorrect for another, and questions that make absolutely no sense at all. There are also questions that have incorrect "right" answers according to the handbook that can be had for 50 baht (all in Thai though).
When brought to the attention of the proctor and the instructor, they both just walked away saying nothing.
Had the exact same experience when i took my license, some of the questions were so weird, i just had to wing it.
Therefore no problem - I assume you DID pass?

Well I'm no expert - being just a cat - but I thought the verdict was close to call - so it could easily have gone either way. No way for sour grapes and I agree with those comments re corrupt calling maybe corrupt corrupt.
