Are you speaking from a number of years of living among these "alcohol obsessed" folks. The Thai government has done its best to make alcohol prohibitively expensive, so from my experience of living here farangs enjoy a ew drinks as do the Thais, but "most" & "obsessed" is incorrect, IMHO..
