Discussion will be completely different when they introduce fingerprinting as announced.
Name change, two passports, whatever.
It will always be you..

Very tiny branch, not wasting money for shiny buildings
-
The adress of the branch is quite irrelevant for SWIFT transfer.
The branch is coded in the full account number.
But if it makes your bank happy:
In Thai:
My translation of the adress part:
BAAC Lahan Sai Branch

On domestic there should be no problem.
The "passport" is only necessary for the identification at the boarding gate.
"passport": I guess she has one of these "temporary passports" in purple color?
With such a passport she can not leave Thailand (as I read about a visit to Laos, unsure she could do that).
Nowadays Myanmar seems to start issuing "real" passports (red color) even to migrant workers.
As far as I know, the WP contains a passport photo and would then be good enough for air travel.

I second that.
Although I did it in Germany.
Medical was a no brainer, doctor looked at the list, wrote a letter, no special examination.
Police record was the most annoying, as offices in my town were crazy crowded, poor service.
Financials: showing my deposit statements in original and handing a copy. Done.
I found the O-A worth and mind calming to have two years to settle with the money etc.
Mind calming: when we left, our remaining household belonging were on the ship, rental contract cancelled, signed off at the citizen office, job cancelled, car sold.
Most bridges torn down.

I got an Omran fully automatic for around 1600 Baht at Boots.
Omron
What we have (Omron HEM-7211):
I have ordered it online. 3090 Baht. Paid too much?

Here in upcountry (Khon Kaen) always a proof of adress was required for extension and 90-day report.
For annual extension I always took and will take my wife with me (although I extend on retirement).
Once I did'nt and had a copy of wifes ID and blue book. One of the copies was not signed by her and for that reason they wanted me to come back (200 km).
(documents unchanged for two years!!!)
500 Baht for the boss fixed the mistake.
In the meantime I have a yellow book and do not take my wife or her documents with me for 90 day report.
-
Thanks for that Mr. Sharp Eye

No problem, a topic that comes up very often.
Last one I find is from this morning by Global Admin "ubonjoe" who is a more popular source than me
http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/725668-90-day-reporting-and-fines/#entry7814284
Original source, Thai Immigration, first box, number 4:
http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=90days
-
BTW, this phone number (0-2575-1008) is from the Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of. Public Health.
You find it in different websites about Thai customs and Thai post.
That would likely be the office for import licence I guess.
But for private imports/parcels I guess the effort would be much higher/expensive than the goods you want to receive?
-
The day when I am supposed
I guess you know that you have 14 days before or 7 days after the date to do the report?
Never read in the forum about 90 day report in DMK.
(DMK is a border checkpoint, not a territorial immigration office)
Also consider the fact that you have to report to the immigration responsible for your place of living (with proof of adress).
-
I am afraid, that the general rules for imports to Thailand fully apply to postal parcels.
Under these rules you would require an import permit for all kind of foods, food supplements, pharmaceuticals and certains cosmetics (to name a few).
You will probably get a few responses like: done often, no problem (a mate says so too).
But I believe that this falls under being lucky/not being checked.
Even if you had a permit, you will be taxed ridicolously.
Have a look at the prices of imported food in the supermarkets.
And its NOT transport cost or the like.

I suppose asking the guy directly to explain the charges never crossed anyone's mind?
maybe he padded in the last month and a security deposit.
this may not be a scam at all
I am also confused about the thread starting post.
I do not read anything like: "I talked to the landlord about it" ?
No mentioning "he refused to act"/"did nothing"/"did not care".
Maybe the thread starter torgot to tell this part of the story?

Is she Thai or Pinoy? Anyway, good basic advice and I bet she has a good giggle at all the moaning farangs on Thai Visa
Pinoy of course. Ever heard a Thai women speak English that fluently?
Oops, that comparison whas a Don't do
And yes I also use my toe to operate these fan buttons.
No other surprise in the video, but a nice piece of education!
Yes, Benjawan Poomsan and many more. Says more about you than Thai women who speak English.
Your grimness tells me much about your missing sense of humour.

Not true.
For example near the German embassy Bangkok (in Q house) we had a translator Thai<>German who is certified/licensed for courts in Germany and of course for the embassy.
http://www.thai-uebersetzen.de/en/lageplan.html
Not cheap, 600 Baht for a simple housebook translation from Thai to German.
He does other stuff like marriage certificates. passports and all other legal stuff.
Would surprise me if there are no comparable professionals for Thai<>English.

Ko Kut (เกาะกูด)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ko_Kut_District
http://www.koh-kood.com/ko-kood/
Seems it has already developed quite a bit.
Smaller resorts may be temporarily shut down on off season/rainy season.
And nearby Trat is the place in Thailand with the highest yearly precipitation. An unbelievable 5000 mm or so. 1000 mm in August.

Not found a satisfactory tool/dictionary so far.
Just a list of a few terms here:

I fed some words from the list to the dictionary (post #2) with some result.

There is no real industry other than rice commodity. Tourism surely can't be it because of current political state.
What a nonsense.
Get informed before writing such statements.
Thailand is neither dependent on rice commodity nor on tourism.
Both make up for a small portion of GDP.
Tourism shrinked about 4% in the last months, after excessive growth in the years before.
As a starter a look to the usual websites would help:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Thailand
Thailand is a newly industrialized country. Its economy is heavily export-dependent, with exports accounting for more than two-thirds of its gross domestic product (GDP).
The industrial and service sectors are the main sectors in the Thai gross domestic product, with the former accounting for 39.2 percent of GDP. Thailand's agricultural sector produces 8.4 percent of the GDP – lower than the trade and logistics and communication sectors, which account for 13.4 percent and 9.8 percent of GDP respectively.
and so on ...

A European lady selling your house (the house is in your name?) with just using copies of blue book and ID card of your wife?
No original documents, no original signatures?
No way.
Obviously the house is not in your name and she needs proof about the house master (your wife?).
I thinks is acceptable to ask her what business she plans to start and how it is related to (using?) the house!

fyi: 1 year Non Immigrant O Visa with multiple entry
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Confuses me.
Just checked back with the up-to-date requirements in Germany.
20k would be the requirement for the Non O-A.
No need to transfer money to Thailand.
No need to leave the country after 90 days.
But: additionally you are required to supply a medical certificate and a police (criminal) record, which you don't mention.
It all sounds a bit like "overkill".
You are sure, that you didn't "accidentally" get a Non O-A?
