Any Satellite Alternatives to True Vision

Recommended Posts

I have True Vision, with a recording box added.  I'm reasonably satisfied with the service, but are there any other satellite service providers  beaming to LOS that have additional UK, HBO  and Sky services on offer?  I dont want computer streaming alternatives, I have those, what I need is a Satellite TV alternative.  Are there any here?

Yes very cler but wrong. A number of years ago I switched from True to Skynet out of Myanmar.

they have over 110 channels including a number of very good sports channels, BBC, Sky News etc. Worth checking them out

Just checked them out, looks like an interesting  addition to what I have. I have e mailed the LOS  supplier,  many thanks for that heads up.

20 years ago I installed a Dynasat 6ft moveable satellite dish I mounted on the roof of our condo building and run the cables down the side to my balcony and into my living room. Use to get thousands of channels by moving to various satellites and get keys off the internet to watch so many programs. But the carriers got smarter and require smart cards now. But can still get thousands of channels. Here's the link to them http://www2.dynasat.com/

True is not satellite TV it is an Air Receiver, if you want real satellite then you have to install a very large dish receiver, you see them around and then decide which company to use, prices vary depending upon what services you require. There are many available on the internet but all cost money some a lot. RBOP gives you a good site to start with.

LyngSat is a helpful website database that tracks what's being delivered via satellite.

You can use it to see what channels are available, which are 'in the clear', what channels a provider carries in their package, or what providers carry specific channel content (and what encryption is used).

They list package providers for each Asian satellite here.

- Click a package provider and you should get the provider channel assignment for that satellite.

- Click on a channel content provider and it should show you what satellite providers carry that specific channel content and on which satellites.

LyngSat is responding very slow for me right now, which almost makes me think it's being hosted by ThaiVisa... but it's just a coincidence.

What? lol  http://www.ecompressedair.com/library-pages/air-receivers.aspx

TV signals from satellite being transmitted through the air zone to your receiver, sometimes with cloud and rain, can block a signal from the normal natural environment. That can be occurred because it is the limitations of the satellite transmission in the spectrum KU-Band. It is not caused by a malfunction of the equipment; however this does not happen all the time but mostly during the heavy rain and cloudy period. It will be disappeared when the clouds and rains are released.

What (again)?  True offers DTH satellite, internet and cable options and does not require more than the small Ku band antenna for the paid or free satellite service.  Poster is asking about other paid service and believe all the alternatives in Thailand have had a death within last year so alternatives would be services operated in other adjoining countries for paid content.

a distinction lost on me I am afraid. It originates as a satellite beamed system, which is the point really.

Go with AIS fiber it's not a satellite option but you'll get HBO, Sky News and a lot more.

Thanks but unfortunately, no cable or fibre at my home location.  At least, not yet.

You must live out in the country somewhere.
