spot
I'm setting up a small bedroom recording space and need to do some basic acoustic treatment. Anybody know where I can get some acoustic foam/tiles etc? I've done searches on the internet but found nothing. Any help or pointers would be very much appreciated. spot
Thanks, but I was looking for somewhere in Bangok. Foam will do. Anyone know where I can buy some foam? Cheers
ourmanflint
Your best bet is to buy rockwool?, not sure what it's called here, but it's a general building material, quite dense compared to foam, and perfect for soundproofing, but maybe a bit heavy duty for a small bedroom. We used to use it in the UK when soundproofing studios and vocal booths. You can cover it in cheap muslin easily enough so it looks really good. I suppose you could ask the SAE here in Bangkok they would know. School of Audio Engineering
The Skipper
I bought a big roll of the grey, eggcrate type stuff on Rama 4. Look in the area between Tobacco Road and Asoke. This only blocks out the higher range. Look for Owens Corning 704 or 705 fiberglass boards if you want better isolation or Rockwool.
awayguy
I have used "Gyptone" 4' * 8' panels in my restaurant ceiling. I think from Thai Gypsum, but an imported panel. Basic sound absorbtion with small square holes in it.
